All across America hunters kick off the fall hunting season with a weekend of doves, friends, and food. Steve's lifelong friend, Ronny Boehme has invited Steve out to his digs in Virginia for the dove opener. To prep for opening day, Steve and Ron spend a day brushing up on their shooting skills on a sporting clays course followed by a pigeon hunt. Steve shares simple, delicious cooking methods for doves and pigeons.

  • Whoever made the decision to upload this series on KZhead and made this free for us to watch, I thank you. This show is an inspiration for us who likes to go to the outdoors. And for me, was instrumental for overcoming my depression due to the lockdown. Thank you so much 😁😁 ❤️❤️ from the 🇵🇭

Takes about 2 seconds per bird, but we don't get to eat those little thighs. 2 favorite ways to cook them is whole breast wrapped in bacon and Kansas City (thin) bbq sauce on the grill, and egg/flour fried like fried chicken and then add to morel mushroom gravy and simmer. I'm definitely going to pluck some to give that a try though! Great video!
