Nato troops test artillery systems sent to Ukraine in message to Russia

2023 ж. 4 Сәу.

Some of the artillery systems being sent to Ukraine have been on show in Denmark as part of a huge US exercise.
Dozens of nations have taken part in Dynamic Front 23, examining how they would launch a barrage of firepower against an enemy nation.
It is one of the largest and most complex live-fire exercises ever held in the country and the exercise took place in the vast Oksbøl training area on Denmark's west coast.

  • Finally AS-90 gets to show itself in battle. It's one hell of a system. If the Ukrainians are able to integrate the networking to their own systems (and I'm sure they are) it'll be a real step up in mobility and firepower. 3 rounds in 10 seconds with amazing accuracy - the Russians are going to hate it.

But as of now no self-reloading mortars in nato standard have been supplied to ukraine. Only old soviet 2s1 122mm supplied by viarety of countires. That's propably casued by versitily of modern day 155mm artilery which outranges 152mm russian artilery while also providing direct fire mode, and wild popularity of 2s1 in easter block countries (propably they have slightly less than 1000 such pieces after donations).

    • Infrastructure can wait but look at the production of the military vehicles in mass. They are very old many designed in the 1980's with modifications over the decades across NATO. The newer weapons has had limited production numbers with nothing nearing 500 or 1,000 in quantity. Each country needs to supply its own military with high quality but in numbers to effectively take back its own territory. Fighting just a defensive war does not bring Victory.

(One you tube channel had the audacity to title their video clip " Tanks secretly shipped into Ukraine " and then a video of a semi truck in broad daylight hauling a tank ). Last question : Why in one years time now has Putin and his forces not dropped one bomb on the city Zelensky resides in (while narrative remains the same that Russia is trying to take over Ukraine) ???

    • Probably slightly better educated than the Americans, on average. But the Brits are using essentially bows and errors, compared to the US Air Force, Army, Navy, and its spear heading Marine Corps. The US Marine Corps, for example, may be the smallest of the 4 branches of the US armed forces, but with 170+ Cobras/super Viper gunships.... 145+ Super & King Stallion transport helicopters... 80+ Harrier II... 60+ air refueling super Hercules... 130+ F-35Bs.... and 280+ MV-22 Ospreys --- and with the exception of the KC-130 Super Hercules, ALL the others being aircraft that could land or take off, vertically from any patch anywhere on earth, including smaller amphibious carriers --- it'd be very difficult for another conventional army to compete against...

    • How does a military exercise mean they're scared? Russia can't even take some land in Ukraine despite military conscription. The West has been surprised if not shocked by how pitiful they are in combat. Years of corruption will do that though.

  • So how have you solved the problem of multiple disparate systems requiring complex maintenance and repair with facilities in Poland 1000s of Kms from the front? Transport vehicles for tanks etc woefully inadequate for the size of the front. Brits better off watching tony schaffer and col Doug MacGregors takes than this propaganda.
