    • Generally friends and family of the Dragonborn's victims will know the Dragonborn was their loved one's murderer regardless of having witnessed it or not. You see it in this video here with how Amren talked to Ty Bennington just before being unalived. One of the Dark Brotherhood quests has you kill the Jarl of Falreath's bodyguard and the Jarl will sneer at you afterwards. I found it annoying so I experimented with the console, plopping the bodyguard down in further and further away locations and the Jarl would still know I was the killer.

    • On a recent-ish playthrough I used an alternate start mod to start the game as a Dunmer in Raven Rock. I was on Survival mode and there was no way to actually get off the island without fast travel because there's no dialogue with the ship captain if you never spoke to him in Skyrim. I eventually had to turn Survival mode off to finally get to Skyrim, but I did that once I was mostly out of things to do (you can't start the main DLC questlines without progressing the main vanilla quest), so I ended up spending probably a good 10+ hours just living in Raven Rock and trying to survive while completing most of the NPC quests there. It definitely made me appreciate it more than the other cities in the game. Normally you don't spend that long in each city nor interact that much with the people there.

  • For anyone who wants to do interior decorating in Skyrim, get Jaxonz Positioner mod. It lets you take everything from everywhere and place it at home (also resize it, rotate, and lock in place). It's GREAT fun! But if you want to set up some havoc-enabled items, first drop them from inventory, save, reload, and only then move them into place and lock with Jaxonz. Otherwise they may reset to the original drop position.

The fact that it financially ruined multiple (typically impoverished) families at all is kinda shitty. It was a seemingly wholesome show, that was financially ignorant at best, and predatory at worst.

  • Joov, I could feel your pain the entirety of the first task. I know exactly how it feels. Especially when you're doing to toa. Home you own and then after you're finally finished or just need a break you leave and then when you come back the stuff flyers around everywhere. It sucks. Then rinse and repeat a few dozen times until you learn that it won't work because after a set period of time after having left your house the stuff that originally spawned there will be reset to their locations so you can't put gems or jewelry in display cases because they'll fly out (not exactly sure why it happens for display cases tho because nothing spawns in them), you can't have cool items stay on the shelves after you move other things off. It sucks. However if you want real pain. Use the fortify restoration exploit to get a god potion of enchanting and then make some boots that give you infinite carry weight. Then go on some journeys, complete various quests and quest lines while collecting cool items, weapons and armors along your way. Also choose a few specific items or types of items to collect, I chose to grab all the books I could, all the gems, soul gems, potions, poisons, crafting ingredients and then, for a reason that I'm not sure of, skulls. Then after you've gone on lots of journeys, helped dozens of people, completed a good handful of quests and gathered several thousand various items with a cumulative weight of a few thousand pounds, go back to a house you own. Then try to coherently sort and store it all. Trust me it sucks. If I get sent to hell and I have 2 different punishments I can choose from, the first being sorting several tens of thousands of items out IRL but only having to do it once before I can be free to chill or the second option being to do what is probably the most hated quest of all time throughout all games, No Stone Unturned IRL but instead of only like 20 stones I have to look for it's 100,000 and they're hidden and spread across a land larger than the size of the entire freaking known universe and still once I find them all I have start again.... I'd choose the infinite Stones of Barenziah. Wow that was a lot more to type than I originally thought.

  • So, for future completionists attempting the decorating 'quest': first drop the items you intend to place in the room (maybe a dozen at once) from the menu; exit the house, enter again, and THEN move them where you want without putting them in your inventory. That's when they should stay where you put them. (I'm told quick-saving and loading after coming back inside helps, but I haven't noticed a difference). Rince, repeat.

  • So sometimes when two havok items are touching and the game saves, it interprets their locations as overlapping, and if you don't 'lock' them, they get pushed apart as reality asserts itself which causes the exploding problem. If you notice in other places with food and plates on tables, the food is actually hovering over the plate to prevent the explosion. You can safely put small stuff inside a non - havok item (like a brazier or something) and they'll just shudder a bit on load but havok inside unlocked havok is a disaster waiting to happen.
