  • Z taką wrażliwością muzyczną dorównuje Pan geniuszowi Chopina.

  • I wish he would play more of Chopin's Nocturnes. I'm a HUGE Chopin fan and love all his pieces, but the Nocturnes are the ones I can listen to any time, even when I'm trying to go to sleep >v

  • There hasn't been a more sensitive interpreter of Chopin in at least half a century. His version of the "Preludes" (for DG), the Waltzes op. 64 (1-3), and the Mazurkas op. 24 are played with total musical commitment and crystalline clarity.

    • You do right in recommending to go to DG - Rafal and other musicians need income, of course. I have never heard anybody play Op.28 as touching, telling, moving, like Blechacz. I would mention Daniil Trifonov as another deeply sensitiv interpreter, though. We are lucky to have many other outstanding pianists of a younger generation today. So even if I fell backwards listening to Blechacz playing Op.28.8 (F#minor) so wonderfully I would still love to listen to a lot of other pianists (but maybe not in Chopin-repertoire! haha). ❤

  • Blechacz is such an incredible artist! His playing of Chopin stands out of course, with amazing recordings of the preludes and the polonaises and these amazing interpretations of, for example, this nocturne and the fourth scherzo on youtube, but he's definitely not a one-trick pony. Saw/heard him live about a year ago now, amongst my favourite recitales I've gone to thus far, fantastic playing of works by Mozart, Schumann and Chopin.

  • Rafal has quickly become one of my favorite artists. I wish he would record more music! He has such a sensitive touch, and I feel like my interpretations are similar to his, except that I can't actually make them happen :P

    • I have a very similar impression to yours. He plays exactly how I would like to hear that kind of music but I cannot make it happen by myself.
