SC Kayak Camping Adventure on the Edisto River with the Colonel!

2018 ж. 3 Жел.

After researching several of Georgia’s rivers extensively, and excited to kayak in warm conditions, we had our heart set on a beautiful section of the Flint River in Southern GA, however, flooding in the state forced us to look elsewhere at the last minute. South Carolina looked warm and a little drier.
We were fortunate to stumble across Edisto River Adventures who provided our shuttle on the Edisto River.
Don't miss the bloopers and outtakes at the end!

  • Looked like a great time. Come down to Florida sometime. We have lots and lots of rope swings and the water will almost certainly be warmer than South Carolina. There are alligators in just about every body of water but we canoe with them all the time and never have a problem. If you see human bones at the base of the swing just go to the next one. Greetings from Satellite Beach.

    • The cheaper entry-level kayaks are not that stable compared to the bigger and more expensive ones which are much more stable like a canoe. A persons coordination and weight plays a big part of it too. But I love how maneuverable kayaks are. You definitely need to try it!

      @GrilledCheese2121@GrilledCheese21214 жыл бұрын

As far as camping, I was told by Earl at Edistow river adventures that as long as it’s not private land you’re free to camp anywhere you can find a spot along the river. That’s what’s great about South Carolina. In some other states it would be trespassing in many cases.
