Excellent driver. Took her time and didn't panic. This manoeuvre is known as a "3 point turn" but is very technical and only advanced motorists can do it in 13 points like her.

Unfortunately, most driving instructors themselves should never be behind a wheel and in most countries the driving test is a joke, especially Britain where they are more concerned with your understanding of vehicle emissions than technical ability, application of skills and driving attitude.

Reminds me of my wife when she was learning to drive at 38YO. She failed the drivers test 4 times. They only allow 5 attempts max, and that's when she passed. I suspect they just gave it to her at that point, knowing people need a car to get to work. She's improved a lot in the last 14 years, but still makes poor driving decisions I can't fathom. Especially backing up and turning around. She'll frequently turn her wheels the wrong way, step on gas instead of brake etc

I recently got a bigger car and I'm having to learn where the edges are, often I think I'm right on a wall when backing but get out to find half a meter clearance, still better than hitting the wall LOL got to an empty parking lot and practice with a friend who can help and once they learn then often they will be better and we'll see a lot less of these vids on YT.

This is classic and very surprising -- appears to be a French woman with her little Citroen. Usually the European (at least German) driving schools are tough and produce excellent drivers. I live in Hawaii now after years in Germany and I'm terribly frustrated with the poor driving here.

Excellent driver. Took her time and didn't panic. This manoeuvre is known as a "3 point turn" but is very technical and only advanced motorists can do it in 13 points like her.

Unfortunately, most driving instructors themselves should never be behind a wheel and in most countries the driving test is a joke, especially Britain where they are more concerned with your understanding of vehicle emissions than technical ability, application of skills and driving attitude.
Believe it it or not, this is one of her better driving days. On most days, she drives thru the fence and into the ocean.
Reminds me of my wife when she was learning to drive at 38YO. She failed the drivers test 4 times. They only allow 5 attempts max, and that's when she passed. I suspect they just gave it to her at that point, knowing people need a car to get to work. She's improved a lot in the last 14 years, but still makes poor driving decisions I can't fathom. Especially backing up and turning around. She'll frequently turn her wheels the wrong way, step on gas instead of brake etc

I recently got a bigger car and I'm having to learn where the edges are, often I think I'm right on a wall when backing but get out to find half a meter clearance, still better than hitting the wall LOL got to an empty parking lot and practice with a friend who can help and once they learn then often they will be better and we'll see a lot less of these vids on YT.
I agree it does take a few days to get used to dimentions of a new car but its all down to common sense in the end eh!! and a bit of thought for others .
