Im Ghanaian. I remember my brother jubilating and hugging my neck, suffocating me when the kick was awarded. Told him to keep calm till its scored and lo and behold, Gyan blew it. My heart sank. After the shoot outs, It was the quietest Accra has ever been to me. Not even a car horn, a voice. Everyone was either indoors watching or gathered around a public tv/screen, all stunned to silence. Unforgettable match.

I'm a Ghanaian and this match was one of our matches in football History we can't forget about it. I cried for a week. It was really heartbreaking that that such a huge sorrow for Ghanaians. That time we were hoping to represent AFRICA but we couldn't make it.
I'm Moroccan but I really wanted Ghana to be the first african nation to make it to the semis that day. Unfortunately, Ghana made it impossible for itself.
