  • I loved the part where Putin talks about the US breaking its promise to Gorbachov not to expand NATO into eastern Europe at 52:08. The interviewer proudly states that there is no written document confirming that promise, and Putin laughs and compliments him for catching him on that. He laughs genuinely because while it is outwardly a point in the interviewer's favour, it actually paints the US as liars who negotiate in bad faith. They never had any peaceful intentions towards Russia. He just helped make Putin's point for him by mistake.

Though no one could have predicted it trump reversed major policies Obama made trying to erase any mark Obama left on this country. while the kkk saw it as bringing back a time when only white men who most people would assume had a prejudice mindset back into power. The evidence is there trump supported and campaigned along side with many politicians who openly support white supremacy. This makes it seem that what the kkk hoped for has come true. Ghaddafi was removed by NATO forces (they say it was a Civil war but what kind of a civil war has NATO bombings in it) and they deliberately didn't want to bring somebody to replace him so as for chaos to arise. When Putin said "then replace him with who?" I don't think he's implying that this is what the US plans to do in actuality he's saying the opposite - that this is what the US doesn't want to do (or the US SHOULD DO in his opinion) and therefore if that's the case "do you want Syria to become Libya 2.0". This myth of the people single handily deciding the fate of the country is hilarious - the people without an opposing powerfull elite doesn't have any influence and by powerfull i don't necessarly mean military powerfull it's powerfull in the sense of connections, education, popular and military support from where you can have a better replacement but guess what as it is the case with small so called dictatorships states the elite is extremely loyal - so what you're left with as an interfering outside force (US) is to check if there are elite disidents fugitive - usually western puppets - but you'll not find any (because Assad as Putin are diabolically intelligent enough to liquidate them, were bussy anihilating any possible opposition inside and outside) and now what you're left with : radicals from the lowel tiers of the society who will only bring chaos if a vacuum of power happens (by removing or assasinating Assad) so the question is absolutely legit.

    • or you as a foreign power could occupy it militarily so as to keep order ( as they did with Afghanistan and Iraq) then put a weak leader in place so as to "return" your expenses and hope for the better - but that would be to obvious - and would create turmoils within your people at home - the popularity of this move would be so low and only bad notoriety would bring that the current politicians will risk their reputation for a very long time
