I’m about to head off on my summer holidays, so it’s time for another packing special, ladies and boys! I’m a natural over-packer, but I’m trying to be very methodical this time, thinking through exactly how many outfits I will need and sticking to it. There’s something so satisfying about fitting everything perfectly into a neat, organised suitcase, with all my essentials right where I need them. How to you prevent your white dresses going yellow from suncream?
This a good question. I am also curious about keeping white t-shirts or shirts without marks. Most of them get some (sweat?) marks that are not easy to clean.

For samples, I chose Mama & Pia and layer Mama over Pia everyday. Thought Pia was the perfect Sloane Ranger pink lip, until Barbie film came out 😆 Love effect of Mama - blue red sparkle: love the way Mediterranean women seem to adopt a pop of orange lip when older. Mama is my pale girl equivalent. Love it!

I learn SO much from your packing videos Trinny! I used to just throw things I liked in the suitcase and then try to put something together when I get to the destination 😅 it never really worked well because I’d waste so much time trying to get ready + it felt like there was always something missing! I’m getting ready for my next European holiday now and challenging myself to pre-plan all of the outfits and I’ve decide I’m only doing carry on for 3 weeks 🤭I think it’s doable if you are prepared! Thank you so much for sharing your tips, it’s really changed my approach to packing and travel styling 🥰
@vr2986 Ooh 😯 three weeks sounds a good challenge for carry-on only. Do let us know how it works out, and if it streamlines getting dressed on your holiday. /One great tip I stored in memory recently is to take a capsule wardrobe for travel that - makes multiple outfits for different times of the day, clothes that you feel comfortable and like yourself in, and wrinkle-free fabrics as much as possible. Some people choose three garment colours only to maximise outfit combinations. /🌴 ✈ 🍹Have a wonderful holiday!!
Packing for short trips is so hard!!! Always make a list but don’t properly plan. That rail is a super idea. However, hand luggage weight with Ryan Air is so restrictive!!!!
One summer I had a Ryan Air flight and my carry-on didn't make the cut. Instead of checking the bag, I just went into the bathroom and layered on as many clothes as I could to get my luggage down to the acceptable size. I wouldn't *plan* on using this strategy but it's a trick I keep in my back pocket!

Would love to get a rail but I do similar planning with a list (in my holiday planning book) of what I am going to wear to travel in and then for each day and evening. I try to co-ordinate so bikinis go with sarongs, 1 pair of comfortable flip flops and day/beach dresses and - sandals, a cover up and underwear and a bag to go with all my evening outfits. Like Trinny then match jewelry especially big earrings. I take enough for 7/8 days and then repeat for subsequent week(s) but wear with different jewelry. Always nice to buy something on holiday so leaves room for that too. I take one nightie which I rinse out with my knickers and multiway bra. I use a sarong as a dressing gown. Big tip is to take an over the door hook and a magic hanger unless you know wardrobes will be high enough for long dresses which often they aren't. If I haven't worn something on the list I don't take it again though I too seem to keep taking workout gear and it just stays in the case!!
This seems like a great challenge with such a big wardrobe and many options. I imagine some digital solution might be helpful with not getting lost in it all.

Just a heads up that I got caught in Security at Manchester because I had packed the same brand deodorant stick in my luggage and not popped it in my declared toiletries. The guard spent a good 5 minutes explaining that a paste was still a liquid (like toothpaste), so ....Or he just fancied going through my clothes! Anyhoo, the delay nearly caused me to miss my flight. Now I always put deodorant in the clear bag.
Airports strangely vary... but from Manchester Airports own site "Lipsticks, lip balms and stick deodorants are not classed as liquids." Obviously toothpaste is classed as a liquid...
Pastes are liquids but sticks are solids, it is all changing soon so no issues but she has already been on her holiday so no worries lol!
I've never had a problem from Bristol with stick deodorant, toothpaste or lipstick
@@MagpieGirl98Toothpaste has to go in with liquids, at least until next May and then it still is counted towards the liquids but they will now be double the allowance and don't need to be removed from the bag! stick deodorant and lippy are not liquids so of course you wouldn't have an issue ..

I had my Trinny stack confiscated at airport security, as they did count as liquids!! Just so you know. I only packed them as solids following your advice and had to have all my beauty products reviewed. I lost 3 products, it was like a £50 hit. However, they agreed my wild Deo wasn’t a liquid and that was fine, along with some other solid products I had like a solid shampoo from lush. So be careful taking this advice.

After that, it was a big tee over a 1-piece (unless on my towel). That helped protect from getting blasted by the rays as well as modesty (esp. getting rolled around 🔁 in the surf too).☀️Sun bathing was strictly kept to privacy of a backyard🩴. Living in 😎Sunny SoCal where I am truly blessed having access to three pools where I can pop in & out for a quick refresh. It means I definitely don't wish to do this on holiday. 🏊♀️Plus, I now wear SPF 50 LS swim shirts & shorts or a mini-swim dress. 🌳Otherwise, I'm strictly for the shade nowadays🏖. Indirect sun is seriously way powerful enough. Typically, no activities that involve direct sun from 10a-5p unless wear a 🧢hat👒 & UV gear or carrying a parasol☂️. Plz🎙mic up. Don‘t know if you‘re reading this, but i‘d wish you’d give styling tips to women as follows: Petite (i‘m 1m57cm, broad shoulders, narrow hip and big boobs (F cup and more!)…i know you clothed petite women with rather big boobs on the takeover show BUT, somehow i miss a video where you discuss styles for young girls, the cool and sporty style! How many bikinis…I take two and wash the one i wore the day before when wearing the other one 😂
I pack very lightly but like to have 4-6 depending on holiday. Take a spare one to beach or boat trip etc so I can change after swimming especially before lunch or before putting clothes on. Then I rinse out at end of day. I take a plain black one for having a massage or turkish bath.
