Tiny cars are all we need to go grocery shopping and take kids to school. No one needs 300 hp to go around the block.
And small towns with no public buses
100% this. Might consider buying small EV for my parents
I personally dig that Chinese BEV cargo trike they sell for around €1,000. You are totally right about more functional cars that are costing below €10,000.
I second that, el-car prices going haywire! I got a huge BMW 7 series, thinking of going way downscale to small el-car 😇 Rather use money for travelling and nice trips with wife, rather than expensive car 😍
Another point here and I watch this a lot as over here in Norway is being sold lots of extremely powerful el-cars. That changes the driving habits of some people and many guys are now driving extremely aggressively.... when you have 1000+ horsepower at your fingertips and not the ability to control this. IMHO: Traffic safety definitely suffer from this as there are people who believe they are F1 racing drivers but with nowhere near the skills, lightyears away .... I so often see Tesla´s changing lanes to where I am and they expect me to just disappear, many people drive like complete idiots believing they are the king of the roads, everone else should give way.... Yes, Tesla owners are the worst, sorry Tesla owner guys "Whatch out Jerry, there are lots of idiots out there" - George Kostanza
I'm in the US , I'm a average person. Why can't they bring these to the US for the same price...? Oh greed is the deal in the US.

I don’t see a problem aggressively invested into equities as long as you have enough cash to live on for 5 years, most people consider using financial advisors in order to avoid a fiasco
Very true, I'm in line with having an advisor oversee my day-to-day investing because, my job doesn't permit me the time to do this myself. Thankfully, my income has increased over 500%, five times in four years, summing up nearly $1m to date.

Unfortunately, most cheap EVs will never be allowed on public roads of North America because of greed. Domestic car companies can't make much profit on a $8000 car as they can on a $30,000 car, and they lobby to keep them out. All of a sudden the governments are concerned with my safety in a crash? BS. That's not the role of a government. I should be able to buy any vehicle I like since I pay taxes too. They come up with all sorts of excuses not to let cheap EVs on the road.
US can make a cars with that price if there are no unions involved and we forget about safety standards but I am sure you rather have a safe car than drive that when most of the time safety bags won't even deployed.
They dont want affordable ev cars in the US because its better to let us all here to be in debt for $50k cars
Same story in Canada
We don't like your spy espionage laws...We don't like your wolf warrior policy and finally we are going to ratchet up more tariffs....

Cheap is right. Junk might be the other word. If a car company if essentially bankrupt and hasn't made a dime ever; even with heavy subsidies from the Chinese and Australian governments - can it be called cheap? Greetings well-dweller, you should get out once in a while
EV's are over supply in China that why they are cheap. They are dumping it to other countries now! However ordinary Chinese cannot afford it because of massive unemployment in China. In AUS, EV's are not well received because of its maintenance cost! tires wear off easily because of heavy batteries. The cost to replace the batteries is around $15k to $25k after 8 to 12 years! Cost of repair very expensive as not enough EV mechanics in AUS. So, you need to scarp it after 10yrs just like mobile phones!
You watch too much CNN and BBC. . You look at the world as a collective. Are there too many cars in the world? If it is too much, the first ones to be eliminated should be the traditional car manufacturers in Europe and the United States, right? Electric vehicles in China even require reservations, and companies are working hard to expand production capacity. . . Because European and American car manufacturers have no market competitiveness and are losing ground in the competition. They should have withdrawn from the market while erecting protectionist barriers while accusing China of "surplus" and "dumping" of China's high-quality and low-price products. What a pitiful white mentality.
