Excuse after excuse, it's pathetic. As for "doing the right thing" i'm not sure that's a concept he's overly familiar with.

    • It wasn't a case of all laws disappearing overnight & being replaced by ones Brexit voters agreed with! Broadly speaking, when we left the EU, all existing EU law was written into UK law (taking existing Scots/English & Welsh/NI law into account), legacy laws still have to be changed by UK parliaments. It's a gargantuan task which will take years, cost billions, & affect very few positive changes, that might've been achieved anyway, given that >95% of EU laws were backed by UK MSP's when they were voted for. ...It's almost like people were lied to, for short term political change.

Instead of just copying and pasting EU law into our own laws. How about as part of brexit, a mandatory review/update, new replacement bills to update the law on things that were previously legislated by respective EU law? How about them using parliamentary time to discuss those said issues in Parliament instead of waisting rediculas amounts of time and money bickering about a Rawanda scheme that can only accommodate 200 people a year anyway? How about the people who are paid to run the country do their jobs? You see I am not a Privy Councilor. Nor am I an MP. Anyways it’s always been extremely difficult to get on the housing ladder in the United Kingdom, one has to save for one’s life before one can buy home! I just can’t see the government going to just give homes away because people are demanding! Firstly, they left him with nothing for 18 months. If he didn't have friends who helped him and bought him food, he'd just have died. Secondly, how did they score him 0 twice!? I find it interesting how insecure Sunak seems - upon being told what to do (hand in the box), he hesistates, uses palm down gestures (typically something that is trained to demonstrate dominance), and then plainly confirms/decides he is happy to do it (to imply control) - although obviously I don't know if he's doing any of this deliberately or not. I think the host notices this though, and then what I think follows is Sunak and the host shouting over eachother at the same time to assert control. The resolution is then damning for Sunak, as the host simply says "hands up", clicks his fingers and the audience responds to him, and the entire (perceived) control grab gets negated in an instant.

    • Just ask yoursel why the Tories were elected after 13 miserable years under Labour. So you want to return to that scenario instead of voting differently next time?

    • @maccagrabme the 13 years under labour were some of the most prosperous in the nations history. Two things sunk labour, the Iraq war and the 2008 recession. The former was voted for by the conservatives too and the latter wasn't even labour's fault. Brown actually saved the economy. You seem to forget that the tories didn't win in 2010, labour lost

    • @@maccagrabme They weren't "miserable" for me, personally, professionally, or in any other way I can think of. I could get an appointment at my Doctor's on the same day I asked for one and had a reliable NHS Dentist. I'm no supporter of Blair but, having voted since '79 and lived under Thatcher and the debacle that's happened since 2010, then give me Blair/Brown every day of the week.

  • Rishi Sunak looked like he wanted the floor to swallow him up. He looked around that room. Saw the boomer age demographic and probably felt safe at first. Uninspiring, despicable, out of touch PM and Tory party

    • He certainly looked very uncomfortable and very much out of his depth. He actually has to face up to the real people the electorate.
