One of the most influential sci-fi/horror films of all time, “Alien,” which was released in June 1979 and won an Oscar® for best visual effects, stars Tom Skerritt, Sigourney Weaver, Veronica Cartwright, Harry Dean Stanton, John Hurt, Ian Holm, and Yaphet Kotto. It is the terrifying tale of a crew aboard a commercial spacecraft that lands on an alien planet to investigate a mysterious transmission of unknown origin and encounters the deadliest lifeform in the universe. “Alien” is directed by Ridley Scot, with a screenplay by Dan O’Bannon and a story by Ronald Shusett, and the producers are Gordon Carroll, David Giler, and Walter Hill.
Alien is easily one of the greatest films ever made. From the opening scene to the final credits, it is near perfect in every way.
100 percent agree 👍🏼
Definitely!!!!!! Been affected since 1979 when I watched on HBO. This is when the first set top box was analog. When HBO was really at its prime with all kinds of"SPECIAL FEATURE PRESENTATION" such as Alien, Not Necessarily the News, and other specials. Do I have a witness out there that can attest to this?
I admire its purity.
The only moment that takes me out of the movie is the switch from Prosthetic Ian Holm to real Ian Holm.
I was born in 1992 and I've only watched this movie on VHS as a kid, but I'm definitely gonna go see Alien in the theater when this comes out.
It's on Disney app in 4k
I just saw it for second time this week about an hour ago. It is INCREDIBLE in theatres right now. Make sure you go to a Cinemark with XD theatres. It is just unbelievably good. The movie in its original film in 4K holds up remarkably well. It felt like I was watching a movie from 2024 instead of 1979 at times.. I saw it by myself first then was so blown away I took my dad to watch it because he is a huge fan of the original alien and he saw it in theatres in 1979. He was blown away tonight as well. Go see it while you can!!!
@@Brandon-xu1yxI think people need to go see it at a good movie theater while it’s out now. It won’t be forever and why not go see it in theatres now while we have the chance. It’s like 1979 again.
Love how this paid homage to the original trailer. I can only imagine how iconic it must have been back then. And it didn’t spoil the plot, Ripley wasn’t made obvious as the main character in the first half and I love it.
I saw the second screening on the first day it came out in my city and knew nothing beyond the poster and an article I'd read that had talked about H R Giger. It was amazing.
I do hope they remake this and this time make Ripley a black transgendered woman. And maybe add more LGBTQ amongst the rest of the crew. And this time how about not killing off the black guy right away?
@@trhansen3244 Ripley was a woman, Lambert was trans, Parker was black, and Ash was a goddamned robot, so I'd say it was pretty inclusive already.
@@andysmith1996 Shut it, you!
The trailer kind of gives it away though, knowing Ripley is a famous movie character even for those who haven't dug in the Alien franchise.
This film scared the crap out of me at 15 years old when I saw alien for the first time. It still freaks me out to this day at 24 years old
Haha all good I'm 27 and I went back and watched it again on my blue ray I got the six film set and I was ok jump scare three two and one alien pops up at Ripley still got me lol I was like crap! How did I still get scared when I saw it a billion of times
@@blazeking_5513Director Cut
Same lol and I saw it when I was 9

My birthday is Alien Day
Kanes son 👀
I have two friends who also have their birthdays on Alien Day 😂
AYE man! Happy Early Birthday! Hope you don’t miss the incredible movie.
Happy early birthday to a fellow alien fan
Mine too!
That's how I originally saw it, in the theater back when it first opened. I was just a little kid and man did this film make an impression on me.
One of the best movies ever made. I can't wait to finally experience it on the big screen.
i saw it in theaters 10 years ago and it was a great experience!
got my tickets and my local session is almost sold out.
This is the best horror movie ever made. But still, I can't decide wether the first or the second movie is the best.
Second is the best because of the marine action and waves of aliens. 😎🐵🍿
You don't have to decide. Just say Alien is the best and Aliens is the best sequel to the best horror movie 😊
No matter what, I'd say AlienS is the greatest sci-fi film I've ever seen
As a teenager, when Aliens first came out it was the greatest Sci-fi movie I had ever seen. Now that I'm much older I see Alien to be the greatest.
@@andyz3925 Do you really care about the characters in Alien like Cameron's characters in Aliens?? Believe it or not, Cameron puts a lot more work into making us care about his characters than Ridley Scott ever puts in his movies
I'm 13 and OBSESSED with the alien movies. My dad is taking me to see it in the theaters tomorrow and I'm so excited!!!!!!
Next month will be 45 years and it's STILL the best of all 4 films.
Alien is a masterpiece. Alien: Romulus Is a franchise.
Now that’s how you do a trailer
This film is amazing to this day.
I hope it’s the theatrical version!!
Director Cut’s/Extended Verison
This film was just amazing for 1979. You had Star Wars in 1977 and you thought it couldn't get better than that. When I saw this movie, in the cinema in 1979, it disturbed me for weeks. No other film did that to me, not even The Exorcist, at the time.
This is interesting. I just rewatched Alien last week and Aliens this weekend. It's been so long since I've seen either, it was basically like my first time watching them, and I loved every minute of it. They hold up pretty well. Now, it's back in theaters. lmao
Favorite Sci-fi horror film
Alien is the first movie I watched on home video Betamax when my uncle splurged and bought his first VCR. I will never forget the experience watching this movie for the first time. Big screen here I come, ticket booked. It will most likely be a digital showing, but I would wish it has a film showing as well.
a masterpiece.... Please make more alien and predator movies.
I saw Alien and Aliens as a double header on the big screen during Covid. What an experience.
In space, no one can hear you scream. Back in movie theaters for a limited engagement from 20th Century-Fox.
Ever since I first saw this film back in the day, it was my dream to experience it in the theaters. So glad I was able to go. Truly a masterpiece in cinema.
Saw this at a drive-in cinema when I was 13 in Minnesota.
It’s nice to see aliens back in the theaters let’s go!!
My favorite movie on the big screen, hell yes. I wonder if they’ll have multiple screenings for both the Theatrical Cut and the Director’s Cut. I hope we get the latter too because that’s my favorite version of the film.
Legendary all around
Already going to the theater that weekend for spirited away lol. Guess it’ll be a double feature!
One of my favorite movies of all time. I'm definitely going to this.
Really nothing can top this movie for a Sci-fi thriller especially for its time/originality. I remember watching this on Betamax for the first time as a teenager and having to pause it half way through to take a break lol
I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Alien Day, than watching the original classic on the big screen!!
thanks for the heads up. Just got my ticket!
🔥🔥🔥
Best movie since December 2022. 😊 Tickets booked!
Got to show my friend this for the first time in the theaters no less felt pretty good!
That's how to present a trailer right there!!
My parents showed me this movie when I was 10. (I’m 14 now at the time I’m leaving this comment) absolute banger of a movie. Even myself at 10 years old agreed. This was my first horror movie (my first real, actually scary horror movie. I had technically seen Goosebumps and stuff by then, but this was my first REAL, actually scary movie). I have no idea why my parents got the idea to show me Alien at the age of 10, but god am I glad they did.
Yeay. Alien series are amazing. One of the best sci fi movies❤
Me and my brother watched this movie last year together !!! Now we r gonna watch it again on theatres 😊
Geez I have only seen this movie, for how many times, I lost count...only on my TV set. And I always imagined what it must have been like on cinema....I hope this is an international release
I hope they do this again for next five years for 50th anniversary
The first part alien coming from stomach. I remember me my mom dad and my brother we were watching it with eww/😮 faces 😂
I just saw it yesterday in the theater. It was really cool!
This is a big year for alien fans.
already beat you to it. i have a home theatre, and i already have this movie.
Is it only US or EU cinemas as well?
I'd love them to put out both Alien and then Aliens back to back in the cinima.
seriously !!! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻😎
can't wait to see this movie.
alien 1 and 2 so good
Alien 3 got derailed.
Best movie Alien ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👌🏻
Es el primer alien remasterizado?
👀💯 definitely!
Where to buy ticjes??
Such great acting and suspense for such a movie to be made.
Still one of the best movies OAT! (In my opinion)
A great movie ❤❤❤
My mom's birthday on April 26th, nice... 😂
Nice!! I just seen Alien at the Imperial Theater yesterday with my friends! :) Which theaters will it be releasing at?
Directors cut or theatrical cut?
Awesome👍
I saw it in theaters when it was rereleased for its 40th anniversary.
Is it the most recent 4k restoration?
When I saw this movie for the first time ever I had just missed it at the theaters but got to see it immediately soon after. It was available at the time from a somewhat strange tv network called.. HBO.
In Brazil when??
In space no can hear u scream.
This gave me Prometheus Trailer vibes!
Anytime there’s a new Alien movie, just use the Prometheus teaser trailer format
Wow . I’m gonna watch alien on 4k at home . My mom is still scared of alien after 45 years.
Alien ❤❤❤
They ran out of ideas, so they figured theyd just play the good old stuff😆🍿
Why is it never worldwide :(
The classic
wow
now I see this way too late. I wanted to watch it and now I cant.
Hell ya! lets do it
I hope they project an enhanced version with better definition and noise reduction?
OK... I'll bite... better definition than what?
My idea for an Alien5 movie is as follows: It takes place after alien4 and takes places on an earth in ruins. TheRipleyClone has transformed into an entity that is producing eggs, and a lot of humans are affected, and a war breaks out. They have to use a nuke on the swarms of xenomorphs and decidedes to travel to the planet where they think the xenomorphs orginate from. There they find there are multiple forms of xenomorphs. They manages to form a clone of a xenomorph that is able to communicate with the the help of a microship surgerized into its brain. After this a peace is established. But as allways Weyland-Yutani has spies that want the xenomorph for their biological weapon program. And it is a surprice who the spy is. And that Weyland-Yutami has a lab on a spacestation not far from the xenomorph planet. Where they finds forms of xenomorphs that noone has seen before. And that's makes a cliffhanger for a possible Alien6 movie ?
And in 2026, they should release the special edition of Aliens
I hope they will do the same treatment for AlienS as well. Both hands down best sci fi horror
I hope the cat makes it out okay.
Hollywood will just recycle movies like Ghostbusters, Top Gun, Star Wars, Terminator, Predator and now Alien(s) with reboots, remakes, sequels and prequels or just show the original movies themselves. And no Disney, I don't want to see another Marvel superhero movie. The creativity of new movies for the most part is gone. The 80's and 90's had a bunch of goofy movies with original ideas which didn't necessarily have much point or plot to them, but they were FUN and they made alot of people laugh. Superhero movies aren't offensive because they are fictitious characters and kids love them. If I had to guess that’s probably why Disney keeps churning those movies out.
Such an iconic sound of terror😈
I hope they do this too with Aliens in the future, the second movie of the franchise. 🙂🐵🍿
Hello to any other alien fan, who's going to watch this on the big screen on their own 😓
My coworkers are aliens
i got you~
Going to the cinema to support it. Even if I seen it 29 times
In Belgium nope?
im going to thailand

It would absolutely be heaven to watch this movie in an open air theater on Santorini. I don't why but it just me.
