    • De Bruyne and Salah were both young players at a top Chelsea side too. They were not stars and didn’t really get a chance. When they did elsewhere they were immediately excellent and have continued to be for their full careers. Criticising young players for not breaking into one of the top teams as being a bust is insane. Sancho signed for Man Utd as a star player for almost £100M. No comparison. Pulisic is just pretty shit and is only doing well as AC Milan are a pretty bad team compared to the best teams.

  • I think that is the main factor behind Messi and Ronaldo's dominance, mainly down to consistency. • "The Champions League Semi Final is bigger than any match that Man U has played in a long time." Shout it from the rooftops. Shout it from the mountains. Teach it to every small child and have them shout it. Everyone keep shouting it until we can finally, as a society, start evolving from having to care about mid-english teams when actual football is being played elsewhere.

    @axelgonzalez2806@axelgonzalez280617 күн бұрын
    • He's paid 350k per week by said "mid-English" team. The second largest sports team in the world. People talk about United because they are like the Cowboys. He has THREE goals and 1 assist in EIGHTEEN matches btw. And as bad as United have been this season- if you put a full strength United against Dortmund or PSG(Not Bayern or Real, Inter or City) they'd win. Actual football. Beyond pretentious reactionary.

      @Padbot1@Padbot113 күн бұрын
    • @@Padbot1 "if you put a full-strength United team against Dortmund or PSG--" Ok well, is that what's happening, or is a completely different set of circumstances that doesn't involve Man United happening? • I think you misunderstood. Chelsea signed him from Genk and he couldn't break through there first. Then he went to Bremen on loan and then to Wolfsburg form where Man City signed him. What is meant here is that the first time he went to the Prem, he couldn't make it. Not necessarily his fault or a big issue, as he was very young at the time and Chelsea didn't even gave him a proper opportunity, but it is not about his transfer to Man City but his stint at Chelsea.

  • To me theres 3 things to Jadon Sancho thing: 1. Is he capable of performing at 100% week in week out like the prem requires. How many top level clubs are there in the Bundesliga compared to the prem? It's ok if he can't perform at 100% every weekend for 90 mins but then it becomes a managerial issue and game management. (Which is what I believe happened with Pulisic and Weston M.) 2. Has United become such a meme of a club that almost every single player that goes there ends up "underperforming". They are the opposite to Brighton or Benfica 3. And the most crucial one is why is Zealand not running?

    • @@riichobamin7612 That's an interesting framing of punishing a player, that in Ten Hags opinion doesn't have the right attitude and work rate in training, by sequestering him from the squad and have him train alone for 3 months, not letting him play on match day or be with the team he is supposed to function and harmonize with. I don't know if Sancho was slacking of in trainings sessions, he denied it but it may well be true, reportedly he was late multiple times, so maybe it was that, or maybe there was just an animosity between him and Ten Hag. I don't know, and you don't know either. But sidelining Sancho against his will, and then frame this as being "for his mental health", that's laughable and borderline evil. If i had to guess, there was issues within the entire squad, and Ten Hag had to assert himself and Sancho was made an example of. "For his mental health"... i am still smiling, dude. You should become a politician, the way you can twist things into it's opposite is uncanny.
