So you increased stroke length, when can we expect to see your video addressing the need for a spacer or stroker plate under the cylinder to keep the piston from hitting the cylinder head unless a custom short piston or short connecting rod is to be used? Equally important, now that the crankshaft has a longer stroke, placing your reciprocating weight further from crankshaft centerline it will need to be rebalanced to avoid excessive vibration and premature failure.
@oldhillbillybuckkowalski2 жыл бұрын
none of that is a serious problem you could possibly machine the top of the piston as 2S-MC pistons are notoriously thick, also you could have a custom piston made which would negate those issues if you wanted to use a spacer that is also nothing dramatic either as most 2S mostly use oring for head to cly seal if you are doing the stroke on a 2S-MC you are not a novice so you would have it rebalanced any way

You have some skills man👍
I reckon it’s great Doing at home what costs a bloody fortune at the bike shop Top job Lee Dan.
I find it interesting to read all the comments about how bad this modification is. How about lets see some "Looks great. Here's the innovative difficult ground breaking think that I did." Show us what you have done, not beat down this man's project. Billk
Its so much fun to beat down stupid projects. If you dont know how stupid it is have a real engineer explain it .
I have seen any number of his projects run, and run well. As I have said. Show us what you have done. Where is your channel???? Put up or shut up. Billk
make longer stroke, balancing crank, cutting bottom of piston, add spacer of cylinder body, get bigger capacity, adjust timing order, ussualy custom exhaust and intake also.
@@theelectricunicyclist9069 We'll see, every one of his other builds so far he's put in a bike and ran.
@@williamklein1221 i am not saying that this built is dumb but what kind of logic do you have? By your logic, no person can call out something if they cannot do one themselves? Lol, what are you, a child? If i see someone build a fragile glass helmet as a riding helmet i cannot call it out if i cannot build my own helmet? Lol, ok 😂
Good stuff. Have done this before myself. This in combination with another mod or two can really breathe life into a small engine.
This procedure is called re-phasing, which gives you more top end torque. It's an old Mechanic/Machinist secret use in old school racing.
Can't tell on my phone. Is he stroking it, Moving the crank pin straight out fron the main journals or is he offsetting it to one side to change the rod angle at tdc?
Can you explain it a bit more?
Le Dan. I wish i lived closer. So inventive
No dial gauge for the Web alignment just a steel straight edge. Wow. I admire your trust in your eyes. 😮 You will have to use a packer plate under the barrel to keep port timing correct so no gain in cc just a longer stroke so a less revving engine which in turn will lower BHP at the wheel unless different gearing is used. A gain in one place = a loss in another place
In america, since what you did was offset grinding, we call it a stroker.
Thank you for sharing hope your vision results in good power!
You showed some machining, but did not reference as your title said How Which way and by how much, and if you moved it towards the top, hw much clearance will be left
Beautiful craftsmanship
Hay quá mãi ủng hộ anh
Cảm ơn bạn với những video hay
You can use a 2stroke motor like a sterling engine.
Hi vọng 1 ngày ko xa ông kĩ sư này sẽ nhận nâng cấp xe cho ae đam mê xe
Làm tốt lắm Dan 😁😁🤘🤘
Pretty good,Nice job
wow that is neat that's how you do it, need to build one from scratch and it is all built on a lathe turned down from a big diameter piece of steel 2 sides then the center journal is pressed into the perfect hole with thin shims and the bearing in the middle. need to make a stock one I won't be racing the bike just riding it around town
Nice tooling!!
Did that move the pin out? Wouldn't you have to fill in the hole all the way and rebore to do that. Or was this just to clean up tolerances for a new pin and bearing?... Stroking it would increase power but I don't see that going on here (as stated in the title). Sweet rebuild though
Chào anh.anh có nhận hàn chế gắp nhôm không anh..?
I wish I worked in your shop with you. I mis running a lathe and I have so much I want to try with scooters.
Brass shims will stop your tool sliding. Higher friction coefficient opposed to steel on steel.
Boa ferramenta bem feita.
Nice jnb from Pakistan
Like the sandals in that high tech machine shop 🤙🏼😁
That is a very nice fixture you have fabricated.
Có đặt hàng làm mái 2 nong k anh
А почему индикатором в конце не проверил? хотя и так видно биение около 7 или 8 соток, без камеры поправил? Совет при сборке коленвала неплохо немного нагреть половинки 70-80 С сборка происходит качественней и легче, ну а так конечно лайк.
Beautiful!
I have a 1984 Honda aero nh125 and they only made this model in one year so they don’t sell no aftermarket part for it can this be done with any 2 stroke motor?

i love the stroke measure but changing the stroke on a two stroke changes the port timing if you use the same deck clearance never found it makes much difference ,changing the bore is the easiest way to increase capacity, but that doesnt work on two strokes either as shallow wide ports have a poor port window area , but i would also worried about the interference fit of the crank pin if you could used a big hammer to assemble
The power numbers may not show it but port timing can be ALOT of extra speed/TQ when we are talking small/low power 2stroke
100% Love the big hammer tho...
It you change suzuki gamma connecting rod? Or?
That’s awesome I weld barefoot too

Amazing job, as always.

Parabéns sou do Brasil excelente trabalho
Good video....now i wished i had a lathe.
Goodbye rotating assembly balance. It was nice knowing you.
Present Bro 🙋 from Philippines
So you increased stroke length, when can we expect to see your video addressing the need for a spacer or stroker plate under the cylinder to keep the piston from hitting the cylinder head unless a custom short piston or short connecting rod is to be used? Equally important, now that the crankshaft has a longer stroke, placing your reciprocating weight further from crankshaft centerline it will need to be rebalanced to avoid excessive vibration and premature failure.
none of that is a serious problem you could possibly machine the top of the piston as 2S-MC pistons are notoriously thick, also you could have a custom piston made which would negate those issues if you wanted to use a spacer that is also nothing dramatic either as most 2S mostly use oring for head to cly seal if you are doing the stroke on a 2S-MC you are not a novice so you would have it rebalanced any way
I think the video wasnt meant seriously
Along with the piston coming farther down and hitting the crank, or the rod hitting the case at bdc
I agree! and there is also a chance that the rod could contact the case at TDC. also no side clearance was set on the rod bearing, and the crank pin was not nearly tight enough, I have never seen one just simply pound in! a press has always been needed on the cranks I have redone!
@@motox103 I've had to put the cranking in the freezer and the flywheels on a hot plate before to get them to go together, doing it with all parts at room temperature was making my press make weird noises and making me nervous. Having had a press eject a part out under high pressure once before was enough for me. That was on some Yamaha YZ450F builds I was doing about 6 or 7 years ago.

Hello where to buy the extension for your metal tower??
Very nice work 👍
Love all the comments from 2 stroke nubs on this. Stop being restricted by what is available on the shelves. You will be amazed as to what a good set of carbon reeds, a stroked cam, a metal gasket set and a proper resonator can do to a small displacement engine.
Yep, all you need is 50k of tools and years of machining practice, or could just buy something much faster and save 45k hahaha
@@kcrichton7485 not really. It's a 2 stroke. I don't know about where you live, but I could saw up 2 cranks and have them welded, balanced and rehardened within a week. I don't have 40ks worth of tools etc. Because other people do. 🙄
Lmfao if its available on the shelf. Its because someone like me spent years and unimaginable sums of miney R&Ding it. That means i know that my product isnt going to fail and that the reason im making it makes sense as a sales point. You muppet. What this guy did is take a worn out crank and make it look like it wasnt worn out. Lmfao. That crank is useless. He just made a grenade

man ... I wish crank bearings fit that easy 🤣
I ever made smooth like that, so the case will safe for longer time. while its getting hot n cold every time.
For 2 stroke it's normal to have loose bearing at crankshaft, but tight at crankcase. For 4 stroke both need to be tight.
Those are mock up bearings honed out to fit easily for truing the crank not the bearing that the engine will see
Noo you wouldn't want that. My 2T moped had to replace crankshaft because of loose bearing. it woud cause rattle at any rpm
Thách anh làm đc trái 145mm đấy 💪😂

Hello how did you increase power by this action???
Bro we need you in our country
When a guy can line stuff up mostly by eye and by feel, you know he knows his shit. So what is the benfit of moving the Con Rod up higher? Slightly more stroke? More compression? No need to JB weld ports? Other benefits?
Do you have to install a shorter piston after that?
Needs a reworked barrel as well, all the port timings will change.
Nice!
Nhận làm xe ko anh
That pin definitely won't mushroom out when you hammer on it. Also I do my best welding in sandals too. Please excuse me while I use ramen and glue to fix everything.

It would have been easier to make any offset connecting rod pin and then once you get it in place everything correct then you weld it in place.
