I noticed on the roll races, Becca manually downshifted right before hitting the gas, whereas Rachel just mashed the gas from a higher gear. Not sure if it would have changed the result but I think it would have made a big difference if Rachel also downshifted before booting 🤔 Both very nice cars, another fantastic OG race 😜

Similar powered cars, 2nd gear at 40 will always beat 3rd gear at 40. Well done to both girls but starting a 40 roll in second is what won the race, so the driver basically. 🎉

Awesome races. But Rachael took herself out the rolling races earlier on by not manually downshifting to show off her torque advantage. Letting the car find its gear in a roll race is a no go. I think those roll races may have a been closer if she had did that, as Becca did.

Driver mod , you can see rach doesn’t down shift in the second race and doesn’t sound like sh w the highest in the rev range. Something simple like that makes a world of difference

tt rs 8j has got 7 gear dq500 gearbox just like 8s ;) but older version. 8j is 410-420 max and 8s is pushing closer to 500hp than 450. 8s with newer platform does the job. Both cars are great.

Yea it would cost a lot of money if you mod the older cars with the new tech but if you have the money you can make them just as fast or faster cause the older cars are lighter

Yet again Jamie comes through with another banging video quite shocking to see two cars to a similar ish spec go head to head, bex’s TTRS shocked me with how it pulls the way it did that’s new technology for us init , well done to the girls aswell we need more content with female petrolheads going head to head in the og battles, it’s something that’s rarely seen now days an it needs more recognition! Nice race and cool that these girls came through together to race. Didn't realise they both had TTRS now, nice coincidence or makes for an interesting race. Also nice that they're fairly evenly matched on power and weight etc but not too surprising that the newer car won if things are equal. I was actually just watching a few of Driving Bex's videos literally the other day and then saw her in the thumbnail here so came through to check it out as I was watching some of the older videos where she had a M2 before. I can't imagine insuring a TTRS is any cheaper, me and my dad were looking at a TTS a few weeks back and it's like insurance group 42. Known of Rach since her channel was quite new and remember her MK8 ST being featured on this channel also. Both genuine car girls and great to see them giving this KZhead stuff a consistent shot as I know how challenging that is, especially if you're editing and filming etc all yourself. Jamie and OG seem to have a crew / editor for it now but you put in the grind at the beginning to do all the features
Not sure how much more insurance would cost you going from a TTS to a TTRS, however being the previous owner of a 2022 TTS, the TTRS is a much quicker car..of course being 65 years old keeps my insurance costs reasonable.

I mean could have used manual mode on the box and actually rev the cars out 😅 feels like the mk2 was never really in the right gear on rolls . Plus the mk3 ttrs will be closer to 500hp on stage 1 tune

Now that’s surprising, I didn’t think Rach would have been that much off the pace, with the figures etc. but well done Rach, I was actually starting to think if the new TTRS figures were accurate as it seemed more like 500bhp, but either way, good going ladies, awesome racing ❤️🥰🙏🏼🙏🏼
I believe so too, the DAZA engine (so the new one) can go up to 470-490 on 98 octane (I believe 93 US that is) so I think REVO just understates the power.
Biggest difference is how efficient the newer drivetrain is in the mk3
@@OrangeTash true but I’ve seen these like Rach’s car really run rings around the rest, but I guess they had much more done. Rach needs a hybrid turbo and few more supporting parts FMIC, and maybe some bigger injectors, pump from MRC :)

No the driver of the Black TTRS don’t know how to drive. On the drag she started at a higher gear than should be. White TTRS is clearly a better driver and a proper petrol head. Black one probably hasn’t been on a dyno could be running 360-400hp because the age it loses horsepower. Who knows how good the tuner is never heard of them.
Soon as I saw the small wheels on the new TT, I thought that's the winner 🏆

Early tests when the revo tune came out on TTforum on the mk3 platform is up to 500hp with just a panel filter, so the stg2 mk2 will have a lot less power. The white car if running 99 was probably a lot closer to 490+. So not surprising those extra horses reeled in the mk2.

Judging the difference in 100-200kph times indicates about 70-80bhp difference between the cars easy.
dont get me wrong both cars are rapid, but in the drivers seat it looks so dull since theres no real driver engagement other than accelarator and keep the wheels straight (yes i know my mr2 turbo would get smoked by both) but point stands
This right here is so much more attractive than botox, puffy lips, fake nails, hair extensions and make up. Don't know how to explain it but something about car girls... there should be more of them oh, and the cars are pretty cool too
There are some car girls who are into that stuff though but the more real ones I suppose you're saying are the ones who don't bother with all that. That's a fair opinion to have but feels like you're putting a standard on what they have to be like in order to be classed a car girl. That being said, most of the ones who care more about their own looks have ended up doing other content
