@@mopexists There 10 for the Stuffpacks. And sorry. This is far worse. And wtf - the Pet DLC doesnt require Cats and Dogs ffs o.o It just gives you more then. And that more is Petclothes. You still get the Rest.
Calhaora Lightsbane They do kind of require the expansion because you can’t use most of the items without the expansion. Sure, you can install them and have them in your game, but you can’t actually do anything with them. That basically means it requires the expansion.

@@Kairos_Akuma Except you still sort of do need Cats and Dogs for even the rest? There's literally an incomplete bedroom set in My First Pet where the rest of that matching set is in Cats and Dog. It was extremely scummy from them to show the CaD bed in the MFP trailer making people believe they also could get it with the new pack.

Would have been cool if your dragon could grow up and function like a vehicle. Imagine your sim riding to work on a dragon they raised from an egg. Its not a proper pet sim but it would have been rad.
I just bought the gold version of this for $8 on Black Friday on Origin. Never get these things for full price. It's not worth it. But it's still fun enough to play.

maybe that is their strategy. by having them priced so high normally, more people will have more desire to buy them and they will make more money than if they were normally low priced.

I fell for buying this from my local EB Games as I thought it was an expansion, being in a DVD case and all. Was seriously disappointed when I got home and found just a code on a card. Was even more disappointed when I found out it wasn't the 'premium' version. I never felt more cheated. I pirated all of the Sims Store stuff after that. Given how terrible quality it usually is it felt justified.
and the worse part.. the store content usually feel like have less quality work put into then =c so yeah not worth buying that.
Good grief, even the dragons in Makin' Magic did more than these guys....
The difference is that this is just a town while making magic is an expansion pack

No this was ripping people off as EA is best known for these days, so yes 90% of their crap games are pirated as pennance for their crimes, especially the Origin virus/bot they force onto your system.

I realy like this town. It has a special glow/light, like monte vista. It is so beautiful, hte rabbitholes are the most beautiful then any other world. The bistro has windows you can look inside and theres furniture inside, and when it gets dark, light emits from the "lamps" you can see in the window. The shop has barrels of food you can see inside the buldings, although rabbitholes are never impressive, I'll take anything I can get, and details like this adds to the atmosphere. Even non rabbit holes are beautiful, like the library. This is my favourite town. The dragons are too small though that's one downside, and they sound like freaking birds, They can sleep and you can feed them but they don't HAVE to sleep/eat, so it's not like a pet which is dissapointing too.
The movie theater resembles the Globe Theater, by the way. I went to the replica this summer to see Julius Caesar.

The 'grass tattoos' are hill figures. They were made by cutting away part of the hillside to reveal the chalk underneath. There are quite a few over here in England.

Yeah, Clint also said something like that on his Into the Future review. He expected The Sims Medieval to be ITF-but-backward expansion pack, so it's like "Into the Medieval" or what... But, well...
It's a KZhead error that's been going on with some videos today. Change the quality to either 720p or 240p and it seems to fix itself for me and the others I've talked to.
The aesthetic is quite similar in many ways, yeah. Especially the clothing it comes with, which I meant to show but just kinda forgot since I got distracted by non-flying dragons :)
Switch to something like 480p or 720p, skip the video around a few places, and eventually it starts working. I have no idea what's up with the player today but it's screwed.

Found a version of this on disc in a thrift shop for only a couple of pounds & snapped it right up. Much better than $35!!!
35$ for this "gold" map.. $20 for a park (lot).. a friggin' lot. Crap like this makes me wish I had just pirated the sims 3 rather than buying it. As good as the sims 4 looks, I'm not shelling out anymore money to EA.

Makin magic dragons were frustrating but at least there was different currency to buy them so you had to really work for it and build skills and earn magic coins, this just seems lazy
I'd like a dragons game pack. Adult dragons occasionally swooping in to eat sims. Ability to steal eggs by hiking to nests. Barter or buy eggs, raise dragons with almost as many interactions as say child sims. When dragons become adults they can become protectors of the sim family and you can unlock mountain top lots in their grounds!
And that's why I shamelessly illegaly download every overpriced thing EA puts out :)

Sims 4 wore out its welcome at 8 hours. Even after the patches and packs since its launch, I'm still playing TS3.

I got one of the Towns (think it was this one) and apparently when I got into the game I had to move in immediately, but I wanted to save my current household first and cancelled the option and I was never able to play it for some reason...whoops
That's really odd. You should be able to pick it from the drop-down menu when starting up a new game, like any other town.

This one is always on clearance in a physical copy at my local Walmart for like $5, and I don't even want it at THAT price.
Thing is, it'll also mean less control over post-production and potentially other restrictions regarding what can be done with the footage once captured... yeah, it's cool if you just want to dick around but I doubt it'll make sense to anyone that does this for a living, as I do. I'll stick to PC and my own capture and streaming hardware.

I thought it would be cool, but I totally agree. The violins, dragons, and archery just aren't worth it. They don't have any real use, but the architecture is great looking.

Hey Clint, love your videos! Would you ever consider making a Tex Murphy retrospective? Under A Killing Moon is one of my favourite adventure games.
An interesting CC version of the Duke of Bows lot - someone somewhere (maybe Mod the Sims? I don't recall where I DL'd it) made a Duke of Bows Festival Lot for Seasons. I installed it on a larger lot and added a whole stack of more of the larger seasonal installations, like the Spooky House, skate arenas, snowboarding half-pipe. Working thorugh furnishing a festival lot is a bit of work that involves getting the festival marker and switching seasons to place seasonally significant things. The dragons, I like the green ones, because I love gardening and it's harvesting ability is really handy, though still not quite as handy as a Robotany Gardener chipped Plumbot. I do however think they did put some dragon eggs in the graveyard. Or did I do that when I was placing Llama booths? I can't recall.

I have a Toshiba Satellite and it works fine for me. I have almost all of the expansion packs installed with the graphic settings on high and it still runs well.
