    • ​@johnbrowne2170 wrong bruins out scored Vancouvet 24 to 8 in that series or by a 3 to 1 ratio. Yes Thomas was a big reason they won but he was far from the only reason. Bruins also had the best 4rth line in the NHL.

    • @@StuartMcNair-kk9nb No, he's easily the main and obvious reason why the Bruins won. No other player had as much influence in the playoffs as Thomas. That's why he won the playoff MVP award. People who know hockey saw what I saw.

  • My dad grew watching the Kraut Line. My grandparents were German immigrants so he latched onto them. My dad and his friends would skate and play hockey on the Charles River and Boby Bauer would stop by and skate with him and his friends just ragging the puck and having fun.

  • Nice to see Phil Esposito there. The man was extremely bitter at the Bruins for years after he got traded and he now bleeds Tampa Bay Lightning blue and white (for very good reason). Glad he was able to put all that aside for one night.

  • Gretzky may have been the greatest offensive player but Orr was the greatest all round player. He not only led the league in scoring but his plus/minus of plus 124 in a season is still a record to this day

  • I'm a Habs fan so as such I don't cheer for the Bruins, but I long have said that Montreals best rivals are the Boston Bruins. The many great playoff series battles between these two is the magic. So congrats Boston on 100 years. Oh yeah there is one Bruin I like very much and its ' Number Four, Bobby Orr'.😎👍

  • Hopefully the current Bruins roster will be inspired to not choke in the playoffs this year and bring the Cup back to Boston where it belongs. Orr, Espo, Raymond et al will appreciate the effort for sure. Ya know, have some pride in your organization. Good year to start doing that.

    • They should have had Schneider starting in nets for game six instead of going again with Luongo. If so they probably would have won the Cup in Boston. But no, they went with their multi-million dollar starter even though that night he leaked like a seive. Blame Vigneault and/or Mike Gillis for that tragic brain-cramp. After game six I knew it was over and didn't even bother to watch game seven. However, I did watch the all those total yahoo-goofs as they wrecked Vancouver ... no class punks!
