He is 28 here. He looks like he is in high school. Always loved this song...reminds me of high school.
It does?
He might not have been great dancer, but he had the gift of getting everyone moving... a fantastic song then, now and always.
😂
❤ NICE
It's amazing how many male singers sounded like female singers with beautiful voices back then.
Mein absoluter Lieblingshit ,1973 rauf und runter gehört
Recuerdos inolvidables ! Tenia 19 años la bailabamos en las Disco de Tijuana uff que ambientazos con la mejor musica de esa nuestra epoca fue la mejor !! Hoy tengo 67 años y sigo escuchando toda esa maravilla de musica !!
This takes me back to 1976 when somebody made me feel like dancing! 🎵🎶
I remember ❤
This song was way overplayed on the radio but coming back to it 45 years later it's a great song.
This song is like a music drug ❤️ it
Agreed.
Like cowbell, there is simply not enough of it.
Check out the mashup with Metallic ...................It is AMAZING
....and then you realize the song hasn't changed😂😂😂😂😂😮😮😮😮😮😮
This dude could have been an excellent rock vocalist. He slides in-between the falsetto and the rasp so cleanly.
Its called play back, that started sometimes in the 70s. Then every singer started doing it
@@betterthanyourname2391 I know this isn't really "live" singing... I just meant his vocal range in general. He could/should of been more popular. Even with his live stuff the dude can sing well.
So true!
@@spearpig1034 why wasnt he then
When he sings, his voice is somewhere between Barry Gibb (Bee Gees), and Freddy Mercury (Queen).
I just turned 75 years ago and my brothers gave me a big birthday party 🎉 🥳. I danced to my 70's music 🎶. This is one of the songs I danced to. I may be a senior but I can still get down and dance 💃. I won't forget this birthday it was a blast.
I too am a senior woman Mary....I am still getting down , and up again !! Happy Birthday !! Keep being groovy !!!!! xxx
@@rippi37 Thank you very much. People must realize that us seniors can still get down and dance 💃to our music 🎶🎵.
@@maryomnes9445 , I first heard him sing it on The Muppet Show
Probably dance better than Leo!!!😂😂
He dances like me. Like I'm convulsing. Love his voice range.
I can't dance either Leo but thanks for taking me back to 1976, my senior year in high school.
I was a 20 year old kid when this video was made.
He’s just way too cool for people to even grasp! Way too underrated! What a soul.
Dude thats not cool but a great song
He is one of my top 5 favorite singers. Nobody really listened to him when I was growing up....I never understood that...I wore 2 8-tracks of him out...love him
In the 70s, he was very rated, celebrated and acknowledged. Unfortunately a lot of singers fade out, but thank goodness for KZhead
@@tabithaedie Hi, Melissa! I was born in 1980 so I obviously didn't experience first hand Leo Sayers incredible success in the mid/ late 70s but I discovered him in the 90s and One Man Band was the first song by Sayer that caught my attention. I've got every single Leo Sayer album on CD and he's absolutely marvellous. My all time favourite artist is the similarly inclined Gilbert OSullivan but Leo Sayer sure is among my 5 most treasured artists.

Gosh! Floodgates of beautiful memories to this song💎 thank you Leo Sayer💎🫶🥂✨
The 70s were the best generation and we need to keep this music playing!!!!!!!!!
Agree with you
The greatest films and music are from the 70s I feel like.
I couldn't agree more! That's all I listen to!
I was born in '72, so while I technically grew up in the 80's and I love 80's hard rock, I think overall the 70's (I include 1968-69 in there) had the best music. Elvis, Kiss, Zeppelin, just to name a few. Yes I realize Elvis began in the 50's but 1968-1977 is my favorite Elvis tunes.
So so agree 👍👏
The songs I heard from the 70's and 80's that I didn't like or didn't understand I do now because I'm a lot older now and I get it.
Kudos to Leo, amazing musician. He deserves recognition!
Thanks for watching and listening to my songs, Thanks for your love ❤️and moral support. I hope you have been well entertained over the years?
Crisp clear melodic voice. Incredible range.
"Quarter to four in the mornin" thats the line that makes this song legit ❤
there was so much cocaine in the Rock and Disco scenes that it slipped over into the Pop world !
Nice song Mr Sayer 🎵🎼🎶👍😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️
Hello rose How are you doing? It's nice to have you here!
Yes, Written by Ray Parker Jr, and it was stolen from him by a producer!! Sad, really flipping Sad. Ray is a good man, cause I would have flipped out!!!! The "music" business can be one slimey place for sure!!!
That's a pretty song
Merci mon grand... Tu m'as sauvé la vie...
Leo was just too cool for school man 🤙🏽
His voice is wonderful! Such effortless range ❤️
It is...and you're lovely ; )
Hello dear fan How are you doing? It’s nice meeting you here!

Fantastic song! Great falsetto voice.
YES AND ALSO FUNNY HAHA
YES AND ALSO FUNNY
He has a falsetto voice like Frankie Valli
It was the era of falsetto voices, starting with the amazing Bee Gees!❤
Leo Sayer had back to back no.1 hits on Billboard chart: You Make Me Feel Like Dancing and When I Need You.
Spin that record, Mrs Lawrence
Leo you make me feel like dancing 💃 🎶 ✨ ❤

Totally agree
The time when everyone wanted to Sing like the Bee Gees ( with falsetto)
But oh man he was good at it!
Leo was friends with Robin Gibb.
I thought it WAS The Bee Gees! 😂
Frankie Valli and Little Anthony. Beach Boys and a lot of Motown, TSOP. Too many to name.
So true... At times he sounds like Micheal Jackson especially at 1:25 and 1:55 awesome talent..
Wow Exellent Theme Song And Video Of Leo Sayer.. Greetings from Peru 🇵🇪.

What a singer Leo Sayer is, I love him and his music. ✌️☺️
such an awesome voice! love this song
It was wonderful growing up with music like this. I loved this song. Great to hear it again
Leo did not know how to dance but he certainly has a great voice and very talented man! I listen to his music since I was a kid 🎤🎼🎼🎼❤
Oh he could dance very well. This is from top of the pops. They couldn’t have him moving around. The even made him lip - sink his songs. They made everyone. He couldn’t move around a lot. Cameras couldn’t keep up and all the kids i the hall. You want to see him dance, look him upon muppets! So great 😄
na Leo got some sick moves, all his own style
@@Walkerwitchyworld TopPop. A Dutch TV show. On TOTP the artists in this period often sang live to a backing track OR had to rerecord a new version to mime to. Here he is miming to the record version. The UK musicians Union would not have allowed that in this period. But outside the UK it would be straight miming to the record.
70's & 80's a great time to grow up in the U.S.....!
Versátil cantante.. estiló muy propio, me hace sentir vivo y joven de nuevo... maravilloso..
LEO!!!! Gotta Love It!
Legend
I can break dance to this song or even go on a run or pump iron at the gym!
This song makes me smile!!
Me too

Qué lindo cómo baila! Se ve tan adorable! Y la canción es hermosa!!!! Me encanta!!! Me alegro haber hecho caso a los "recomendado para ti" de KZhead jajajaja
I always enjoyed Leo and his songs especially this one
Wie ein süßes kleines süßes Äffchen, wunderbare Stimme
Why couldn’t I appreciate this music and times back then? I want a do over.😉
I LOVE Leo Sayer music.
Thanks ❤
Tight Groove 😽
My Happy Song 😊
I remember this song as being very well produced, with good stereo separation, at the time. I was 11. Thanks for posting this gem.
Heyy London Thanks for the comment
He is SO cute!!!
Leo sayer you make me feel like dancing great music from the seventies classic song hearing it again brings back memories good stuff
Nice. Love you

@@Melissa-sx3mn me too. we had good childhoods...
Eh hold on you lot am coming with ye 😎
Greatest music ever made 1970s
2:05 that chorus is on point!
His falsetto was lit!
...great happy dancing tune from the 70's with the awesome Leo Sayers. I danced this tune as a teenager at plenty of Hidalgo ISD sock hops. Yea baby!
This song is pure good-feeling dopamine.
Really liked Leo Sayer 👍🏽 yes, way under-rated - and he could SING just about any song really.. I think Moonlighting is my favourite. He could bring it to life without video backup. Plus (of course!) he looked good too. Not easy to dance surrounded by all them cables. But he had that "step in his leg" as my mother would say. And he always looked happy 😁 fab set of pearlies 😍 i always notIce people's teeth cos my own are so crooked 🤣 xx
Great song and a great voice!!
❤❤❤. Great song
He's such a great performer. Love him ❤
Performer??? Can sing but definitely can't perform.. Not even little bit 😂
This guy has range
Watching him perform is like watching a legal firm's employees put on a talent show at the company Christmas party. Great voice though.
Turns out he's a bit of a prat irl. Nice memories tho.
I had similar thoughts about his dancing ability. Good tune though.
I JUST DIED!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh your comment just cracked me up!! I had a similar thought. Ironic he’s singing about dancing. I did like this tune tho.
Cracks me up
Beyond superb.
STILL A GREAT SONG TODAY!
