There were some errors that I made throughout the process of making this video, so apologies if there is anything that is inaccurate (first Maintenace Door blocking the Generator being incorrect, didn't bother to rerecord the voiceover).
Next up will be a smaller challenge (well apparently not anymore), but I think it will still be an interesting one, nonetheless. I hope you enjoy the video, everyone!

  • Gonna be honest, after beating every prison, you realise how easy this game is. I haven't really played it since the last Christmas prison came out but the difficulty drop from the first game is really dissapointing.

    @dr.t0blerone965@dr.t0blerone965 Жыл бұрын
    • I guess a large part of it's easy nature comes from how the penalty system works. In the original, anything bad that happens is met with instantaneous solitary or lockdown. In this game they just fix tiles and whatnot for a bit and then eventually go into lockdown. It works well in multiplayer because it can quickly spiral out of control, but in single it is just easy (not to mention prison designs and how cameras and contraband detectors work now).

      @GenericMystic@GenericMystic Жыл бұрын
    • well yeah, since crowbars/iron bars can chip through one whole wall by themselves, there's no reason to use anything more for walls and fences are also easy to cut through, either use 2 files or lightweight cutters can go through 2 fences and the adrenaline shot is op, it makes energy not be a problem at all AND energy restoring things aren't contraband so you can store as many of them near your escape area as you want Why craft anything past these things? The only thing I would craft is the Multi Tool for prisons that require you to dig

    • @@GenericMystic escapists 2 is such a disappointment, sure it is fun but it has so much wasted potential that it hurts, prison takeover should have been a thing, we should have been able to duct tape/rope unconscious guards to make them stay unconscious for long periods instead of nurses picking them up, riot guards should have been way tougher they are barely a challenge, vents are almost always useless there's always a direct way to escape day 1 rather than tampering with the prison all over the place where guards can't see you so that you have paths that you can use when the time comes, the game itself would still easily be salvageable if they added a damn level editor, yet they didn't, I'm so mad that they didn't do this game justice

      @he3004@he3004 Жыл бұрын
    • This is definitely true; there's a lot more ease-of-access in Escapists 2 that wasn't present in the first game, i.e. the crafting menu and insanely powerful items, though it feels like to welcomes you into the environment a little better compared to the first; not bad for casual play, but not optimal for a challenge. If the level editor wasn't so heavily limited, making the challenge yourself would be a perfect opportunity to having the best of both worlds; alas, the team has long since moved on from the game and probably won't touch it ever again.

  • Fuckin wild just how easy this game is The first one is actually generally really tough, meanwhile this one you literally just dont even need to craft. Also the amount of extra difficulty TE2 cut off simply from the change in how purple doors work, like in TE1 they lock at roll call so you cant just attend and then dip, you actually gotta work around them, and a lot of doors require a yellow key at night. Also the TE2 map editor is a war crime, that thing is shit, so many weird unnecessary restrictions and how lazy they were. TE1’s is vastly superior

You go to the room right below the guards room, go through the vents to get to the room with the jetpack, knock out a guard with a red key, and then escape in the room with the robotic dogs.

  • Now do The Escapists 1. actually for the last one, you need a raft to escape which can only be gotten by crafting it, and the glitch to escape early also requires an item only obtainable from crafting, that one is probably impossible anyways, this was a pretty good video! Nice

    @Mojojojo9001@Mojojojo9001 Жыл бұрын
    • Yeah, sadly the original game is a lot more rigid with how one can escape the prisons. I would attempt every prison just to see which ones are and aren't possible, but I can already cross off half of the base game prisons and roughly half of the DLC prisons just because it requires you to craft some special item for an escape.

      @GenericMystic@GenericMystic Жыл бұрын
    • @@GenericMystic to be fair, it probably IS still worth checking which ones ARE possible, 1 thing to note though, there’s a massive difference between the pc version and the mobile/console versions. Earlier versions of the pc version are also different too. I heard there was a “noclip” glitch in the mobile/console version abusing the vents (or holes), but you also noclip through the escape barrier and crash the game. You can basically 1-2 hit guards with basically nothing on this version and trigger a prison takedown though, still, seemingly hopeless for the prisons where you need to craft an item to escape though. Well, unless you find a new glitch that is.

      @Mojojojo9001@Mojojojo9001 Жыл бұрын
    • @@Mojojojo9001 Off of memory alone, I can tell you that most are impossible, and the ones that are possible aren't that interesting. All it would really be is using plastic tools in place of shovels, picks, and cutters. The only interesting one (imo) would be San Poncho, as the way to escape doesn't explicitly require anything crafted, but the jeep is impossible to avoid without the nail item I forgot the name of.

  • In U.S.S Anomaly, there is a much easier way to go about this, in fact, it is the fastest way to beat the level, as the world record speedrun strat uses this strategy (I should know, I speedrun this game and have had WR for Orca 2p, AFC 2p, and RS 1p glitchless before) All you need is a screwdriver and preferably a weapon. Just rename the guards with the Red key (Check wiki) and go to the small room just to the left of the guard room northeast of the cell blocks. Put the desk below the vent and use the screwdriver. Go into the vents, head east and use the screwdriver again. Jump down and the contraband desk will be right there with the jetpsck in there. Put the desk below the vent and go back where you came from. Do note that the broken vent can be found so its important to act fast. Next you find a guard with a red key, beat him up, take his key and walk through the red door west of the cell blocks. Quickly run past the dogs and go west, and then in the room go to the Escape prompt on the top left and you're out! I find this strat much easier as you only need 1-2 items, and tbh you dont NEED the screwdriver; you can use files as well. Have fun beating U.S.S Anomaly without crafting and bragging to your friends about it.

    • If I remember correctly (and I'm going off of memory because the wiki is trash), some of the quests required you to craft items. And because the crafted items have to be made with parts specific for the quest, it bars the entire questline and by proxy the escape.

  • Were riots removed in escapists 2? I remember beating a decent chunk of the prisons in escapists 1 by just getting super buff and beating the crap out of all the guards with very minimal crafting, so I assumed that was how you were gonna do most of them just with no crafting instead of minimal crafting.

    @Quazex@Quazex Жыл бұрын
    • Sadly, riots were removed. I'd assumed that it was due to the changed combat system where you could win fights without taking damage, so maybe that's why? You could go fists only and that'd be the fastest way to escape.
