  • I met Dyana in 1977. I was 18, working at a gas station outside Philly. She drove in. I recognized her because she was on Carson the night before. I filled her tank. I asked if she was DNyad, and she said yes. Like an imbecile I didnt ask about her, I asked about Carson. Ugh. She was amazing, though.

  • @marci shore is right. The people posting negative crap you're so short sighted. She did this for her. It was her goal. Her dream. Something that started 30 years ago when she failed the first time. She failed another two more times I believe, but she never gave up. At 64, to accomplish what she did? She knew the risks, but she took all the chances

  • I think it’s amazing for someone to force themselves through this, but to unnecessarily force yourself through something, risk your life, put others on standby, all the manpower and planning involved. Someone forcing themselves to persevere through an emergency situation is one thing, but deliberately putting yourself in one is another

Very ignorant, you are ignoring the big picture and that's what is wrong with society today. We give up. What this person did is completely awesome, remarable, honorary. We have to remember nothing is impossible unless we accept defeat before trying. This act should serve to reminds us that we once move towards pushing all boundaries in technology, and intelligence,
