Experience China's Sky Garden: 1000 Trees, 400 Steps of Architectural Marvel

2024 ж. 9 Мам.

Hello! Today, I'll take you on a tour of a truly unique architectural wonder located near Shanghai Railway Station - the Tian'an Qianshu Mall. Designed by a British architect, this structure is comprised of 1000 columns and 400 steps, each adorned with a tree.
Drawing inspiration from China's Yellow Mountains and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the architect created a design that, when viewed from a distance, resembles a mountain. The intricately arranged steps give the impression of an extraterrestrial construction, sparking controversy as some find its appearance unconventional.

    • The Chinese government’s thought control has been a subject of intense scrutiny and criticism. Here are some key points: Transnational Repression: China is known for aggressively pursuing dissidents abroad. Authorities often threaten and harass the relatives of those who criticize the government, even using sophisticated technology to track online critics. Chinese police have been reported to interrogate followers of exiled bloggers on international social media platforms, urging them to unsubscribe from these accounts1. Repressive Rule: Under President Xi Jinping’s leadership, repression and social controls in China have intensified. Human Rights Watch has documented the government’s violations of basic human rights, including in Tibet, Xinjiang, and Hong Kong23. Chilling Effect: Paradoxically, some overseas critics have become more emboldened after facing pressure from the Chinese government. Rather than silencing dissent, these tactics have fueled anger and determination among those who seek to challenge the status quo1.

  • This place is absolutely phenomenal! A Majestic Architectural Masterpiece of a City! You will NEVER find a place like this in Canada. WHY? This City has no garbage, litter, people smoking, people lounging on the grass, spray-painted graffiti on walls, junkies shooting up, or homeless people lying on benches. All of which you will find in Canadian and American cities. It is the culture. Very few people in Canada have respect for one another and very few people who have respect for their environment. It is nice to be, 'free' to do things, but just because you are allowed to do something, does not mean you should be doing it. Fantastic job China. Well done, well done indeed.

    • There are a lot of poor in China : you don't see them lying on benches because if they do they are put to forced labour in prison camps to build tofu skycrapers. But even then there are many desperate, future-less people who lie flat in whatever space is conceded to them. There are also many vertical slums where they are rented a coffin's space. But the homeless in Canada should be given jobs consisting of building the buildings they should be given as a reward thereafter. But I don't expect an old hippie such as Trudeau to come up with any such solution : hippies love contemplating problems growing.

The one that was open was eerily quiet. the top floor had many restaurants with workers but very few customers. Also this mall contrasts quite heavily to the neighborhood surrounding it. The architecture was cool, and I was surprised that not much about it was online.

We didn't see this, but I can confirm everywhere we visited was spotlessly clean, street cleaner were out waiting for leaves to fall even! We even stayey in a hotel that at 6pm every evening the whole of the back of the building became a massive waterfall with musical fountains. We saw some incredible things, walked on the Great Wall, saw Pandas and the terractta army, rode the maglift train travelling at 435kph. Of course our tour guide only took us to the good parts, but what we saw was incredible.

Weird to point to China as the source of that problem. And, did you know about the CIA South America cocaine trade? How outraged does that make the average USA citizen about 'how that makes them look'? And as comparison, I've also been to the USA for a month.
