  • After having discovered her about a month ago or so and watching a lot of her covers, I would say these songs are a walk in the park for her. She is a top-tier singer and these songs also are live requests, so this is pretty much impromptu.

  • Many vocal coaches do analysis etc. But the difference with this person isn’t that she can reproduce the notes, others have done that. The difference is her ear and musicality quickly picks up the nuance. She not only hears the notes accurately but she can hear what the mic picks up as well. She’s probably engineered and produced quite a few times. Bravo.

Her version of this song has been viewed 45M times as she's so popular on KZhead due to her superb renditions of all types of musical genres and she does it effortlessly and most times just sitting down but she's also captivating when she sings live.   • Welcome to another phenomenal singer and yes, welcome again to the Philippines. A few things.... - Gigi and her band Gigi Vibes used to do these hours...HOURS long livestream. So yes, it's all live - they have and know thousands of songs and fans can request songs and they have quite the repertoire. - Gigi is also like a chameleon in where she can also do different genres and make it work with her voice in a smart artistic way - the one and only Chaka Khan would be so dam proud of this rendition. She went up into the skies, totally Chaka Khan's ministry 🔥🔥🔥🔥 This video always reminds me how awesome music from the 80s and 90s. Old school is just something else.   • This clip was part of their livestreams during the covid lockdown in the Philippines, Music lounges and bars were closed so also live concerts and cruise ships performance were stopped. So being no place to perform and no livelihood to sustain a living they decided to livestream via facebook first then you tube and provided entertainment to us during those lock out and accept request of songs of any genre for some tokens and the rest is history.

  • I agree with you 100 per cent her tone is amazing. Call me crazy, but as a lister to music, that is probably the number one aspect of a singer I like. When she hits the high notes so crystal clear and goes back into her normal voice, that gives me the chills. At the end of the song, I know she is trying to give it her all for the big finish, but I love her more in the beginning of the song. I could listen to that style of her singing all day. I think your right her high notes with power sounds like Mariah Carey. I think her Jazzy voice sounds like Anita Baker a little too.
