I love watching your videos. I am in 10th grade and I take Forensic Science and Criminal Justice. I have a project and I have to show the class how to lift fingerprints and your video is really helping me.
That is great. I am glad you are enjoying them.
Great video
This was fascinating! Somehow I thought fingerprints were old school and not used anymore... the video was very good. Why do other "experts" show loading TONS of powder and then removing? I am going to get some supplies and use it to teach my kids. Very well done.
Gave me a few flash backs of finding fingerprinting tools lying about the house and being told there has been a homicide!
Not all hero's wear capes.
I’m not a student in a forensic course yet but I plan on being, and I’m just educating myself in advance. Any channel recommendations?

When you lift the print onto the tape, is there a way to download it to a computer ?
Mike in your videos you mention a weblink that provides the products to make a fingerprinting. Do you think is it possible that they sell internationally? and could you give me the link again. Thanks again Nestor Flores
Gonzalo Néstor Flores Cevallos www.lynnpeavey.com. They should ship internationally

Hello , my daughter has assignment in taking an fingerprint imprint off a balloon but so far we haven’t succeeded . Do you have any idea on to do so.thank you for your help.
thnks for this
what product use sir what powder name sir
Can a civilian lift a print and take it to be checked?
Can I ask why you would shoot the print in raw please?
Raw files keep you from losing picture quality as you open the file, like would happen with a jpeg. The loss is minor but, for something like a print where the little details are important, it can make a difference.
What is the minimum education to become a forensic officer
How to lift the print to a glue or something to do a mould??
What specific careers would do this? Like a forensic scientist or csi?
Smile S there are a few. Depending on where you are from will determine if you need to be a certified officer or civilian to process crime scenes. I would suggest studying forensic science. Then you can branch out into different aspects of crime scene Processing.

Wade Heames absolutely!
@@profmccutch Thank you.

Hi Ilve outside US. And thieves entered to my house. Police in my country is very corrupt. Could you please help me to search fingerprints . Idon't have the raw material to do it or to buy it. Could you please tell me if we can make a search with baby powder, and what method can I use to take footprints from carpet. Thanks in advance Best regards Nestor Flores
Gonzalo Néstor Flores Cevallos Thatbis a tough one. Without the materials it will be difficult. You could cotton and ground up charcoal. The charcoal would have to be very fine. You could lift them with regular tape. For footwear, use side lighting to locate them and then I would take a picture of them with the side lighting you would really need a dust lifter for those.
Thanks for the promt response. I really appreciate it. I will try to follow your advice... I have two more questions:To find and lift fingerprints in painted walls Do I have to use a UV flashlight and once found it use the charcoal ?, While I request a dust lifter from another country, In the mean time, should I cover with plastic the floor carpet, in order to preserve the possible footprints?. Best regards. Nestor Flores
supper sir
I have no idea or reason why I watched this video...but it was interesting. I was a bit tilted that he kept working in the mess he made with the powder and didn't clean it tho..
myhumbleascension I agree. The mess got on my nerves and kinda ruined the rest of the lesson for me by getting powder on all the lifted prints. It really wasn’t necessary to demonstrate the mess in my opinion.
Sir,, can I make powder at my home...
suman sarkar yes you can, fill a baloon with water and put a light flame under it. You will make black powder and you can wipe it off with the brush
this was kinda helpful I'm in 4th grade
Connor Knudtson glad you liked it.
Loser you’re probably in 5th grade now
Making that mess to demonstrate really wasn’t necessary. It got in the way of the rest of the lesson by getting powder everywhere.
That was the point
This video doesn't help you when for fingerprint on the side or under surface.
