Giving you a pilot's view of landing a high performance glider (sailplane) at the picturesque Afton Wyoming airport. Afton is located near the south end of the beautiful Star Valley with the Salt River Range mountains just a mile to the east. It is a beautiful place to visit and for me and 5 other friends was a fun place to fly for a week in June. Please check out other videos from this trip on my channel as I finally get around to upload them. Hope you enjoyed! Bruno
I don't think you could have timed that more perfectly. Nice landing.
Thanks! :)
I enjoyed the video but as a geologist I enjoyed seeing the fault scarp on the hills to the east. It is a classic normal fault and in this case up to the east and down to the west.
I have some amazing videos running the Salt River Range that should really be enjoyable for you. Working to upload one of these this weekend. Cheers!
The residents from there always come back.
Beautiful landing. I watched couple of times.
Nice to see videos from you again
Hi Bruno, nice to enjoy the video after long "silence". Could not have made a smoother landing😇
This is the first time I've been able to figure out what that computer voice I've seen on KZhead videos is saying after glider touchdown, "stall! stall!", lol I always guessed this was a gear or collision alert, because it's hard to imagine who needs a computer to annunciate a stall if you're flying a glider? Don't we feel and hear this regardless?
Man, that was a smoooooooth landing1
Looking good!
Awesome thanks Bruno!
New flight computer? Heard the stall warning. Very nice landing!
Good eyes! Yeah I upgraded to an LXNAV 9070 flight computer and vario. Should be fun to get to learn and play with. Cheers.
Star Valley is one of the best secret places of beauty in the West. I go there every year (not in Winter)!
It's so Beautiful where you are...
Afton, Wyoming
Good job!
