  • I genuinely appreciate that this episode and by extension, this series didn’t pretend like the Perry dismissal didn’t happen. It reinforces this series with a credibility level that makes it more worth watching than it already was.

    • It's not like they provided any insight. They used it to shape a narrative. Then Mr. Wirtz said something about "transparency."

      @patrickwontor2061@patrickwontor20614 ай бұрын
    • @@patrickwontor2061 that narrative being what? that the entire organization is acting in manners consistent with structural accountability and operates in a vastly different way than it did previously, whereby such events would presumably have been allowed to occur if doing something about it would’ve hurt team success. …and that the organizational processes they claim they’re fully committed to in order to swiftly take action when any employee engages in unacceptable conduct *are, in fact, in place and working as one would hope them to?* a narrative which by majority account, matches reality? I’m not some apologist for the team annoyed by their past horrors and wishing for them to just be forgotten so I can go back to clapping at my tv like a baboon again. I was simply genuinely pleased at what I saw because most pro sports behind the scenes series I can recall would not mention something like this at all so people forget about it and whatever image they’re protecting can be rebuilt. the series not shying away from further treading of the topic was a bit of a surprise to me, even though I believe their commitments concerning accountability. and there’s truly no further insight available nor owed in this instance, as it should remain a private matter to protect others involved, and has been thoroughly dealt with in a very appropriate way. I was just calling it how I saw it in the moment. If you feel differently, you’re certainly welcome to do so.

    • @@vChickoyou might want to put your reading glasses on and try again buckaroo. Teams will be restricted from moving up more than 10 spots if it wins one of the lottery draws. -- Teams cannot win the lottery more than twice in a five-year period. Wins in the lottery prior to 2022 will not be counted toward this total. The Hawks have won the lottery ONCE meaning that in the next 4 years that they can “win” it ONE MORE time. That also only pertains to moving up in the draft. So if the Hawks do manage to be last in the league at 32nd. That doesn’t count as a lottery win since they already have the highest odds and didn’t move up. The Hawks can very much win the lottery again this year and select Celebrini

    • @@vChickowhat are you talking about? That’s not true at all 😂. We can get it next year, but we won’t be eligible again for another 4 years if we do. You just can’t win it more than twice in a 5 year span. We’re ABSOLUTELY eligible for the first pick next year and still will be until the next time we potentially win it within the next 4 drafts. If we win the draft lottery 4 years from now, we’ll be eligible the next year AGAIN. If we win before then, it all depends on which draft lottery we win to determine when we’ll be eligible again. However, if we finish dead last in the league and win the lottery it doesn’t count as a “win.” You just can’t move up to win the lottery. Even if we win this lottery and move up, we can still get the first pick for the third year in a row if we finished dead last that year, which I don’t see happening given our prospect pool and our resources.

  • Connor Bedard’s game is next-level - his hockey IQ, lethal shots, speed - it’s the full hockey package. Oh also,let’s face it, you can practically feel his desire to join Vancouver. While he’s making waves with the Hawks, the buzz is, he’s Vancouver-bound. Just imagine Bedard donning that iconic Canucks jersey. It’s not a matter of if, but when. Get ready for a hockey spectacle when Bedard brings his skill set to the Vancouver ice - it’s bound to be nothing short of legendary. The hawks franchise deserves nothing. Your dynasty was built on people keeping their mouths shut after hearing of something so deviant.

The entire PR team at the Blackhawks organization failed Bedard’s family. I really hope that Bedard leaves this team after his Rookie contract expires. He need s to go to an organization where the upper management has more experience in dealing and controlling the message with the media. Luke Richardson is a horrible coach with no substance.
