  • Just to be sure no one is confused: I LOVE brands like The Ordinary and CeraVe for their accessibility, simple formulas, and affordability. But I prefer Korean skin care overall because of their superior formulas and technology! (ie my skin care routines are always mostly made up of Korean skin care lol) 💖

    • Hyram Hi Hyram! I have a question. So recently I’ve been getting bumps between my chin and my lower lip. They’re just hard bumps of skin. They’re not red and they don’t go away. I used to have them on my nose but those went away after a couple of years. It’s just annoying, do you have any recommendations?

      @parisinthe30sx@parisinthe30sx3 жыл бұрын
    • @@parisinthe30sx I do like Frudia moisturizers. It is not heavy and gel-like, so hopefully it'll be suitable for combo skin. If you need heavier moisturization, let me know. But, this one is not greasy, so it seems like it will be up your alley. Koreans often use BB creams, which is far more popular than tinted moisturizers. Would trying a BB cream be too much coverage? Also, let me know what you prefer in skin care. Are you absolutely against fragrance/perfume? Do you prefer physical sunblock over chemical sunscreen (because BB creams/tinted moisturizers usually come with spf)?

Unfortunately in the US it's difficult to find products with high concentrations of mugwort, honey, green tea extract, etc. and if you find a product it's INCREDIBLY expensive. Korean products have high high concentrations of those ingredients and at a good price. 11/10 would recommend but please be careful because there are also a lot of Korean skincare products that will DELETE your skin so please do your research (especially some peel off masks damn those suck)

  • I would say that Korean skincare is getting more and more available everywhere which is great. I live in Serbia, which we always jokingly call Narnia because no one ships here 😥 It started with a few Purederm sheet masks in a drugstore 3-4 years ago, and now we have a bunch of products from brands like it’s skin, neogen, Benton, cosrx, ariul, mbeauty, the skin house, cliv, coxir, mizon... Yeah, they’re a bit more expensive than in Korea, but at least we have access to them. 😄 There are also brands like tony moly, dr jart, too cool for school, skinfood, etc. in Sephora, but the prices are insane, so yeah, I’m never shopping those, can’t afford them 😅

Sto se tice internet kupovine, ja volim sajt iherb, proverila sam, salju za CG. :) Cesto imaju popuste i imaju veliki izbor azijske kozmetike. I have to save up to shop but even with my wimpy allowance I can buy tons of things because Korean products are soo cheap. I bought a beautiful amethyst Keychain from this small outside store( there are tons of these in korea) it was about 2 dollars (converted from us dollars to korean won). I also love these black semipermanent tattoos that lasted me about a week and a couple days which I got for about a dollar or two that had like 3 sheets with a bunch of designs.

I've had people tell me how it's a bit ridiculous of me to have a 5 step skincare routine but not wear make-up...😑😑😑

    @calico_queen8976@calico_queen89763 жыл бұрын
    • I've even been criticised for wearing sunscreen every single day of the year. I mean, make up doesn't do anything for your skin (okay, some brands have those enriched formula foundations but I wouldn't exactly rely on that...) and, well... Sooner or later, most skins WILL show how well they were taken care of, in comparison.

  • I can’t believe your almost at 4 million. I remember when I discovered you like lil over a year ago you wasn’t close to 1 million! Well deserve Hyram! Your videos are very informative. You never claim to be a professional nor a dermatologist but you stress about ingredients and skin sensitivity and for that you’ve gain my respect and millions of other. FYI that black snail restore serum from iunik is one of the best thing I’ve ever put in my face! It’s amazing!!!!! I wear it night and day! Not sure if I should but my skin loves it. Lately it’s been going through it and this serum just calm my irritation and reduce the texture in my skin.

  • The Korean societly is super critical on one's look and appearance, which makes their skincare & cosmetic & plastic sugery industries grow like crazy. It's good that people like us who live outside their country can also benefit from their pros but dont have to suffer from the cons.

  • I agree with a lot of this! As someone who lives in South Korea, though, I see the thousands of products available everywhere. Another issue is the vast majority of products include fragrance and sorting through things takes time. Also, I've noticed sometimes that the products that are made/sold here are actually sometimes different from the ones you talk about that are sent to the US (this is especially true for makeup). 😭 But I'm really so grateful to live close to it all

  • brazilian here! i love your skincare videos and i've learned so much from them. it's kind of hard to find actual good skincare products in my country, mostly because our government is very corrupt so there are almost no regulations and companies can put anything they want inside their products. and that goes even for american and other foreign brands (brands like cerave and neutrogena for example are expensive as hell btw, even though they're basic), bc once they start making their products in here they change to cheaper ingredients. i've been using almost exclusively korean skincare products for the last two years because even though the shipping takes some time they're relatively affordable & have better ingredients than the stuff we have here.

  • I loveee this!!!! It's sos great to see mainstream western channels talking about korean skincare/makeup/beauty because I feel like people only see it as a trend and don't realize how great it actually is. (or maybe im biased because I have a kbeauty channel . . . hmm)

  • Last summer I went to South Korea and buying skincare there was so accessible and normal, they literally had very famous skincare brands and products in EVERY store/pharmacy/... I also went into a couple (yes, there were more) stores with multiple floors with ONLY skincare and there were so many people !!! I think such stores would go bankrupt anywhere else in the world Edit: everything was soooo cheap, I would say the prices range was “the ordinary/cerave”. Of course you have more expensive products but most Koreans don’t buy them. The price range in €7-14 or something like that.
