    • We just bought a new RAV4 Prime and the cargo cover no longer fits in the storage area. The salesman started to show us how that works and discovered the tire is bigger now so that means there is no room for the cargo cover. Thanks for all the information.

  • I’ve found to get the dynamic lines on the backup camera you usually just need to be in reverse and then go to the extremes on the steering wheel and the lines will appear. No need to go into the service menu. I do it all the time on new Rav4s where this step was missed in the predelivery inspection.

Having been in the situation, I’m almost certain that - regarding point 2 - if you lock the car with the key fob, and then try to unlock it with mechanical key, you will trip the car alarm. • Great information … thank you very much for sharing that! I think today’s cars are being made with a little bit too much technology which makes it very difficult for an owner at times, especially when it tells you to go see the dealer who you know damn well I was going to charge you a good hundred bucks minimum just to diagnose the problem that is obviously easy to do based on what you’ve just shown us here … in some cases.

  • Thanks. I am teaching my granddaughter to drive and the emergency brake thing can be useful there if needed. Also, where did you get the netting on the right side in the baggage area where you have a first aid kit? That seems really useful. I was disappointed that Toyota removed the hooks they had in the back in later models, it was perfect for hanging bags from the grocery store so they don’t fall over and move around. I ended up gluing one to each side.

  • Hi Sir -- GREAT videos! I just saw the 10 hidden features for 2019-2023... the steering angle adj where you held a dash button in while turning the lights knob 3 times was quite interesting. My Q: is Would you happen to know a similar procedure for a 2018 Rav4 LE AWD. Many people on-line have the same issue I do with the 2018 and older gen RAV4 when battery died/replaced - the Pre collision, AWD and Lane Departure Alert malfunction mssgs display and the "Steering Angle Sensor" fault prob. is mentioned in the same sentence. [ Any info is greatly appreciated, or if you can direct me [us] to such a video you may have made. T/Y ;>)

You need to look for one that matches the map light that you have - www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&_nkw=2020+rav4+map+light+assembly&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_odkw=2020+rav4+map+light+assembly&_osacat=0.

  • You are one of the best KZhead channels for explaining RAV4 hybrid “ tricks”. Are you a Toyota Mechanic as some of these things are not easy to find in the owners manual. Have you ever ha$ an “ issue” with the small 12 volt battery in the back being discharged? I know how to jump start it because I watched your video but I was wondering if it’s possible to charge, maintain the battery using the same process as you showed by using a 2 amp battery charger / maintainer under the hood rather than in the back of the vehicle. I have heard that this battery will discharge over a period of time with very little to no use of the vehicle. I believe the battery would be okay if you parked the vehicle for 2 or 3 weeks but I think not using the vehicle for 2-4 months would drain the battery as it is always providing power to the ECU ( computer ) and the sensors that detect the key fob etc.

    @Zeek800@Zeek8002 ай бұрын
    • Thank you! You can connect the battery maintainer to the terminals under the hood and charge the 12v battery. Gen5 RAV4's can have issues with 12v battery. If you feel that you have a problem I would address it to the dealership.
