  • I've watched most of your content and still working toward a decision on kayak or canoe. I'm avid woodworker and occasional paddler. Both projects look like fun! What is the music on this video - love it!

    @ehengle@ehengleАй бұрын
    • The music here are various songs by Jules Gaia that we license through epidemic music. I don’t remember offhand, but I believe one of them is called the rhythm recipe, and other one might be walk break

    • That is one hell of a reasonable price for a build like that. I am researching animal skin build and came across this. Excellent lighting. Music choice, filming and editing.

  • Is it cedar or pine you're using for the frame?

  • I really like this! I'm quite keen to try it. Would I be able to paint the skin once it's done? I've always liked a red canoe. And is there a separate set of planes for a 2 person canoe?

    • Our building system is unique because the plans don’t just cover one canoe but hundreds of different Canoes. Build a tandem although generally, I recommend that people start out by building a small solo or pack canoe first to get familiar with the system before trying a tandem. Color is no problem. Red is easy to do with earth pigment mixed directly into the polyurethane. There are color charts on our website.

  • I really like your builds, just one question… why the yellowish staining? The white fabric is beautiful as it is and there are ways to prevent the epoxy from turning yellow…. 🤷‍♂️

    @vicbauwens@vicbauwens Жыл бұрын
    • True, but there aren’t ways to prevent aromatic polyurethane from turning yellow, which is what we use on these boats. 🤷‍♂️

  • Im looking heavily into doing this i want to know if pine tar would be a good replacement/substitute for the polyurethane coating on the canvas?

    @migmog9549@migmog95495 күн бұрын
    • Probably not. There are various natural options, but none of them are remotely as strong as the synthetic alternatives. Feel free to email me with questions.

  • Anyone on here from Canada? Im curious on the two part polyurethane. Can it be shipped or purchased here. Thanks for sharing!

    @Gillesgip@Gillesgip10 ай бұрын
    • It can absolutely be shipped there, but it cannot be purchased there. There’s only one supplier and they are here in the United States but fortunately, they are also the supplier of our preferred skin so you can order both things at once. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
