    • Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed the interview. And yes indeed, that was a huge surprise to us as well. As he said in his own words, it's the best kept secret at the University of Houston that the Head of Arab Studies has Bengali roots!

  • The book "Quran and the Aramaic Gospel Traditions" currently is on Amazon at a price of $152 for hardcover and $48 for the Kindle edition. It has only had 6 reviews on Amazon. I regret that I don't wish to spend time or money exploring this 2013 book. It could be that I'll be missing something really important, though. The world is beginning to realize the profound impact Judaism and Christianity (including Aramaic gospels) have had on Islam and how heterogenous its sources are. And as to the author using the derogatory word "Paganism," that is to be denounced. Within the great Mosque (Masjid in Arabic) in Mecca, men dress exactly like Hindus (the Pagans) do during prayer rituals, in 2 piece loose white clothing which signifies purity. Muslim women are not allowed to wear Niqabs within that mosque) I can't help but think that what constituted original Islam is radically different than what is promoted as Islam in the rest of the world. And too the worship of the Black Rock at the Ka'aba is no different than the Shaiva Hindu tradition of worship of the Black Rock called the Shiva Linga. Why black? The color black represents the Infinite God devoid of characteristics. We now know that 95% of the universe is black (dark energy and dark matter combined). It is likely the ancient Hindus had an instinctive knowledge of this (there was so much those ignorant Pagans knew!) 😆 Islam is really like a giant sponge, and has soaked in wisdom from various sources. But for over a thousand years now, Islam has been invading and destroying all other cultures, civilizations and religions. Such absolute hate and intolerance.

    • Hi, thank you so much for your feedback. Yes, admittedly the book is a scholarly / academic book for a very niche audience. I think I got the E-Book for $41 in 2020 if memory serves me right. As Dr. El-Badawi explained in the video, the word "Pagan" is analogous to "country bumpkin" and was meant as a pejorative. Regarding Hinduism and its influence on Islam, as I myself am from South Asia, I have no doubt that Hinduism's influence is far and wide. To what extent is something that the scholars will have to put together. Just as we see talks between Syriac Christianity and Islam, in the near future we will need to see historical critical scholars on Islam and Hinduism come together. • What if I tell you dear professor Badawi that Horus knows who Mohammed is by name from the traditional Islamic Narrative. I know his real other name before he became to be known as Mohammed after he received the revelation. His name is hidden in plain sight. To know this historical figure is none other than Mohammed himself, you have to read between the lines, connect the dots, piece together fragments of information and join small and scattered parts of one big vague picture to make sense of it all. I cannot reveal the name yet as I live in a very strict Islamic country. However, I hope one day I'll be able to do so and write about him to tell the world. I am a big fan and of pos. Donner, Reynolds, Al-Jallad, Hoyland, Holland, shoemaker, Anthony and many other amazing scholars and researchers in the US and Europe. Not to forget the late and great prof. Crone. Respect, Regards and thanks to you all.

    • You must be close friends with Horus to know what this guy Horus knows and don’t knows. Also the claim that you can’t say because you are supposedly in an Islamic country is typical Zionist foxnews propaganda
