I consider myself a pretty good redstoner, but I couldn't follow his explanation. There was too much jargon that just went over my head (what is "placing"?). Just goes to show Tango is a true genius 😁

There was once a time that I thought I would be bored watching redstone-focused MCYT. That time was _before_ I found this channel.
When you were saying "stamping out kelp," I thought you were actually going to make the stamps dried kelp instead of just nuggets. I think it'd be hilarious to be able to accidentally eat stamps.
And dried kelp gets eaten faster than normal food!
Imagine the hermits having an unexpected psychedelic experience after accidentally eating their stamps 😂

Just thinking out loud.. for beneath the grates in the “factory”.. when I did steampunk I used slime blocks with glow stone beneath it to make it “industrial sludge” rather than the typical lava or water
There should be a way to make your own bundle. So for example 1 diamond for 15 stamps, and you get to pick 5 Tango, 5 Etho, and 5 Pearl stamps. Then you can buy the super mega pack for 3 diamonds which is one or two of every hermit.

The next civic service I could see being adapted to Hermitcraft would be a "Road Crew" laying paths, creating maps, installing directional signs, and maintaining lighting across the server.

13:45 I wish "lava-logging" was a thing, where copper grates could *actually hold* lava the same way they can hold source blocks of water. Failing that, I'm in love with the effect one gets running lava through channels made from copper *trap doors.*

I'm really loving the informality this season Last season with DO2, everything had to be planned out from the start because of how legendary a project it was But the "unedited stone smelting" bit followed immediately by the "placing blocks strat" bit was incredibly enjoyable

Impulse was worried about using 50 signs for fear of lag. Tango uses 800 signs.

@@Doolaidman With the 1.20 update making it possible to edit signs by right clicking them, they also added the feature where you can wax them so it's no longer possible to edit signs to avoid accidentally clicking on them. Unless your confusion comes from how waxing signs will stop lag, I'm not sure either.
@@authenticintrovert2863 i had a vague memory of that being a thing, thank you! maybe waxing them has the same effect as putting composters over hoppers, if the hopper cant look for anything to pick up it reduces lag. maybe signs have something similar? i have no idea either lol

This is such an exciting season. I don't think Hermitcraft has ever had a better start, no? Pranks and feuds, insane redstone, server-wide games, impressive builds... just absolutely firing on all cylinders. Bravo.

Once more people have their bases built there could be stamps with pictures of the bases, kind of like IRL stamps that have pictures of famous bridges and such. It would probably be a redstone nightmare to make them all functional in the item filters alongside the standard face stamps, but they could just be sold as collectibles.

I believe that is what is sent in the mail system. I may be wrong though and they are using bundles only.

It would be sick to see a hermit linking up an enderporter to their mailbox such that when they send themselves a specific item, it’ll detect it and teleport them back from any other hermits base on the sever
then another hermit finds out and messes with them... the chaos is inevitable. love the idea.

Thanks for those incredible Pro Builder tips!! I never knew you could right-click on an adjacent block to place another block, and I've been playing since 1.7. Meanwhile, that whole stone cooking scene was almost terrifying. You did Martha Stewart proud.

Great Build. food for thought: have more *steam* coming out of the floors for a more steam punk feel. perhaps some floor trapdoors that release some *steam* at random intervals.
You could make the stamps to send to the post office cheaper. That way you could include a service where they could send a package for someone else to the post office (with a note maybe inside the shulker saying for who it is for) and then Pearl sends the shulker to that person. This would take longer to send because the post office is an extra step. Then it's kinda like normal mail where it takes a bit longer and you have the direct stamps for instant delivery. This way people have two options of sending, you can make the direct stamps a bit more expensive (or offer less in a pack then for the postoffice stamps) and people can decide if they want a instant delivery for more money or if they want the normal delivery for less. (Also makes a fun task for Pearl in checking and sending the mail everytime).
I can't explain how much the Hermit postal system makes me happy. Just recently started working for the actual postal service and seeing this makes my day. Amazing video as always Tango!

I'm really hoping to see the hermits start up "subscription boxes" like Scar could do the "Cherry box" to send a redstone box to sub'd hermits once a month, the "Log Lads" (X and Ren) could send out logs to subscribers... This mail system is awesome!

Well Tango here is something about EXP farm: Smokers and blast furnaces are known for speedy cooking of food material or ores but there is a drawback to them. You get less EXP from cooking stuff in these items unlike in furnaces. Possible lore is that these blocks consume XP to speed up your cooking.
That's a myth. The exp is the same.

I think having the copper is different phases on the floor would look pretty cool and be very Steampunk. Keep up the awesome work.
Sensor detecting footsteps to make a bell ring when a package is available would maybe be nice? Or otherwise a light on top, similar to a pop-up flag? Otherwise you have to view the box from a specific direction to see if you have mail.

Like most people I loved everything involved in Decked Out 2. The game probably is the most amazing thing ever created in Survival, but everything else around is also fantastic, including the building. YET, now in HC10 I can see how much I missed "normal" HC videos from Tango. The astonishing ideas and execution, the redstone contraptions, from simple to insanely elaborated, the creative buildings, the harmonization between parts of the overall state, the interactions with other hermits. Tango is one of those youtubers I really feel a little sad when the episode ends.
The first few seconds of this video makes tango and pearl the best hermits ever Have fun and comedy makes it epic
