This is the tour of our tiny home, a 2021 (early model before the black faucet and lighter cabinet changes) Grand Design Solitude 3740BH-R. We shopped long and hard for the perfect rig for our family. We love the bunkhouse version as it is the perfect space for our twins to be able to play, rest and read. The second bedroom is their space and a 1/2 bath is great for nighttime routines. Any big families looking to live full-time should consider this floorplan as you can sleep 7 in the bunkhouse!
We have done a little RV reno. Almost everything we did can be found in our Amazon store, including the backsplashes, master bath sink, and faucet install. Any of the florals or utensil canisters are Walmart.com Pioneer Woman and also listed on our Amazon storefront.

  • Great video, don't think I've ever seen this much stuff in an rv all stored away perfectly. Def going to look into the container for silverware, never thought about it but that will be excellent space saver to free drawers.

  • Hello there and Happy Sunday! When we first went full time in our RV, this video helped us get organized. So thank you for that!! We just installed ours last weekend. We sold our stackable and got the Splendide WDV2200XCD. I love the extra space switching from 2 units to 1 gave us, but I'm iffy on it. I started clothes at 10am and here it is 5pm and I just put the 3rd load in. But that's not what I'm iffy about it. I can handle the time. What bothers me is my clothes come out wrinkled with this one, I had not issues with the stackable and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I tried not setting the dryer on auto and taking the clothes out, shaking them out so they're not scrunched up, throwing a dryer sheet in, but that didn't work. I'm not overloading it. Do you have this issue? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • 100% agree this is my favorate Solitude bunkhouse !!! Has been for a couple years but havent figured out how to financially get this home and the truck🤔 not yet anyway 😅 still working on it 😉. You are colorful like me with everything you have done!! Its absolutely amazing. Love the yellows 💛 and soft blues 💙, including some red 's ❤ which is my main color. Great video!!! Fun to watch!! Oh and by the way.... I HAVE TWINS 😁 ALSO!! BOY AND GIRL 👫 45 YRS AGO. THEY ARE TRULY A GIFT FROM GOD😇.. Hugs to you and yours 🤗

  • You have done a wonderful job on your fifth wheel. So interesting and so very organized. Would love to know how you fold your daughters clothes to get them to fit in those drawers. I am a retired widow age 71 . My son and his wife and I have a year long rental space in a small but beautiful campground on the Colorado River near Parker Arizona. My son has completely restored the 39 foot trailer and we also have a bunk room which is wonderful. We bought used 13 years ago and have enjoyed it so very much. It has a beautiful covered open patio fully carpeted which is removable but left up tear round. My son Nick hand polishes the trailer every 3 months and with the 115 degree summer weather our trailer still looks beautiful and brand new even though it is a 1999 model. Just to let everyone know it can be done on a budget!! Everyone stays in the summer on weekends and vacations and I stay in the winter. Only wish it was closer... 4 🏠 hours away from our hometown.     • Thank you for watching. It sounds like you have a great rig and system too - fun for the whole family. The rig isn't what is it important... what is important is who you get to spend time with and the memories you make. We loved the Parker area and thinking of a winter there in 2023. I fold all our clothes using the Marie Kondo method (she has a Netflix show). I don't do all the "blessing each shirt" or take quite as long as she does to fold them, but it is a system that lets the shirts or clothes stand up like a filing system. I should have shown it a little more, especially hubby's T-Shirt drawer as I can fit 12 of his big shirts in a teeny tiny drawer. I will try and make a short video demo to show!

  • I absolutely love your freezer, in fact there's NOTHING I dislike about your home on wheels. Stay safe on your travels. PS command hooks are fantastic, we've got them all over our house. To keep our trash bags in; I sewed up an old pot towel, put ribbon in top to hang it & I sewed in a crunchy on bottom to pull out bags. I've had it ova 10 years & it's still going strong. I made my daughter one too for her home. JUST AN IDEA

  • Thy have this same bunkhouse floor plan in a travel trailer too. Now we have to decide if we want one of these awesome stand up two bedrooms or go all in on a three bedroom , with an upstairs, Forest River Grand Lodge. Decisions...decisions...

  • We have the same fifth wheel. Love what you guys have done with yours! One of the best I've seen for tips. I would like to know..what did you put on the window part of the sliding barn door? Or did you just paint the glass white? My kids would love the extra privacy. Thanks! Great job!! 🥰

    • Yes and no. More frustraing to get out all the nails. There are small holes in the vinyl floor but they don't bother us. We did leave the original table or it would be much bigger holes and would have to replace the floor. The biggest problem is there isn't any wainscoting on the inside wall next to the front door. We found some at Lowe's but it was white. We also had to replace the top trip with plain shoe molding (also white) which is what started the whole painting project. Let us know if you have any more questions.
