Chelsea genuinely looked like a league one team tonight. It’s incredible the fact City didn’t have Ederson, Dias, Stones, Grealish, De Bruyne and Haaland tonight. Mahrez though tonight unplayable, and what a free kick. Props to city.

Mahrez has been an outsatnding player even before joining Man City. A team player. Always lives up to expectations, even when he starts from the bench. Personally, I feel he could have done much better had Guardiola preferred him as a first team player most of the gameweeks. Nonetheless, no complaints from his camp, he always shows up when called. Reminds me of Mata, Giroud, Solskjaer etc. Players who always show up when called despite being benched by their manager. Top quality, both on and off the field.

@@thesurrealist7 unfortunately he's quite slow for a winger, so lacks in take ons. He has one of the best first touches I've seen in football tho, and he can defo hit a ball

@@cr1pps Yes definitely agree about his lack of pace, which is why I specifically mentioned "in his proper role". At Leicester Mahrez never played as a typical winger. He starts on the wing but drifts in and had a much freer role. Most of the time when he excelled it was when he played more through the middle. I remember a brilliant goal he scored against Man City themselves when he ended up on the left wing and destroyed City defenders on the counter. At City, Pep has restricted him to an extreme wing role, and his freedom is heavily restricted. This is also why he hasn't been very influential there although his quality always shines through now and then. If he were given a freer role, at least like Bernardo Silva or very unlikely but a CAM role, he would be even better.
I feel like people don't rate Foden enough, the guy has impeccable positioning and his finishing technique is amazing. He seriously needs to start more often.
He did initially learned from one of the best : David Silva.

It's not exactly the same players though. Chelsea has bought a lot of new players this season, like Sterling, Koulibaly, Cucurella, Fofana, Aubameyang, Chukwuemeka etc. Not forgetting loanees that have returned. So that excuse cannot fly.

Reece James and chilwell are always injured for potter, Rudiger and Christiansen left. Kante is Injured for potter. And every attacker we have cant control the ball or finish or dribble.
@@DerKeizerTuchel had lost the dressing room since he brought in Lukaku, he played awful yet got more salary than the rest of the team, the problem got even worse at the start of this season, when Tuchel wanted more players to come in to replace the players who won him the UCL. And by letting our central players such as Rudiger go. He lost his players’ trust more and more, they thought they were dispensinble to him. While I agree that Tuchel’s sacking was justified, hiring Potter was not any better, since he’s even more worse than Tuchel.
