I don't wish to sound like I am stuck in the past but I cant see the sense or need for lining up and then shaking hands with the opposition. Just run out, warm up then kick off.

I think it stems back to what happend back in the 80’s with football violence. Fair play handshake to show good spirit and attitude. I could be wrong though

@@Philtymo I don't think that is the case Phil. I think it is just something th FA and the TV channels thought would look good when the match was televised live. I wouldn't take offence if somebody told me something different. Good luck this weekend for the team you support whoever they are.

@@Philtymo I am also a evertonian Phil. Yes we play on Friday and I am so glad that we won't be nervous wrecks at the end of this season. Money problems aside let's hope next season is less stressful. COYBs

What are all them guards around the coach????!!!its a joke how many ya need only footballers!!!😮😮 it's gone stupid!!!get grip😮😮

It so the coach can drive through not guards. It’s a busy walk way on match day there
