  • The fact that Trump has not attacked Judge Cannon like he has been doing with other judges demonstrates he knows she is working on his behalf.

    • I agree with you entirely. The entire extreme Right wing legal fraternity guided by Mr. Leo and co is working tirelessly to come up with ways of frustrating the courts and legal system from acting against Trump and his utterly corrupt Judges in both the lower courts and the Highest Court of the land are being rewarded for their roles in the process. Traitors every one of them.

Just like a cop breaking the law he is supposed to be upholding, the President of the United States is supposed to be an exemplar citizen. Now, most Presidents engage in questionable behavior. Reagan was nearly impeached over the Iran-Contra scandal for example. However, no President or ex-President has used the excuse that he is exempt from consequences because he was President. Even more so, in a case where the defense isn't even contesting facts of the case?! Why should it even be necessary for Smith to file an appeal. The 11th circuit court is not blind deaf and dumb. They are reading the headlines in the news. Is it actually not legally possible for them to simply step in and say "enough is enough?" And the conversation is simply "Can Judge Canon be removed from this case?" not, "Is judge Canon going to be impeached and disbarred for this?" Have we never actually had a judicial system, or has it suddenly failed in the face of brazen hubris?!

The Powell memo outlined a much more covert, slow process, but it is working nonetheless. They even mention FDR’s new deal directly in the Powell memo, and in no uncertain terms make it clear the grudge they still held decades after the attempted coup. • Exactly. The plan was to delay hoping Trump wins in Nov and she is then rewarded by him when he gets his AG to throw the case out OR she eventually gets asked to recuse herself which will then lead to another delay beyond the election and if Trump loses and then found guilty she won't be the one finding him guilty and if he wins he wont forget what she did for him. She won't get disbarred for this outrageous behavior; she will simply argue she has contrary interpretations of the law; hence David J's concerning comments about possibly throwing the case out herself.
