Finishes like this are so, so brutal. Got to give it to Lidl/Trek tactics and fitness to attack-attack-attack but Vos and Kopecki played it well, especially Vos. Sure, she won, but look at her positioning on the whole finish run. Always sheltered. Nice work, all!

I dont get why we cant watch the whole race on Discovery+. Starting at around 80ish km to go (women even below 40 km to go) and hearing about "what a spectacular race" its been to this point made me quite mad. I wanna SEE it not being told about it! For something like the UAE Tour i can unterstand that its kind of boring to watch them rolling through the first 100 km of desert, but not on such a classic. Also the Show before with interviews, predictions, etc. is all fine ... but not while there is a race going on. I am willing to pay double or triple but i wanna see all the racing from beginning to end!

Shirin is such an amazing young talent, but my gosh her tactical inexperience showed. 1:38 and 2:57 "Lido-Trek have ridden such a brilliant race." "This is great tactics from Lido-Trek." 😂 Really? Longo-Borghini and Van Anrooij setting it up for the two far superior riders (Kapecke and Voss) instead of letting Kapecke and Voss do the work. 4:57 and 5:48 are painful to watch. Do you know who rode a "brilliant race" and showed "great tactics"? Marian Voss.
I'm not sure if having Van Anrooj leading out Vos and Kopecky was the best strategy for Lidl-Trek. I must confess I didn't watch the whole race but from the highlights here it looks like Kopecky worked too much at the end and paid for it in the sprint.
If Kopecky don't "worked too much" she be sprinting for second place! As the current WC and probably one of the best racer! Vos is not going to waste her energy if Kopecky won't counter every attack at the end! Lidl is racing smart for who they got!!
@@mracer8 Lidl's tactics in the last 10 km were terrible. You never, EVER pull far superior riders (in this case, two of the best) so far from the finish.
Agreed, Van Anrooij has a lot to learn tactically. Voss took all of them to school in the last 10 km.

You don't know a single thing about racing! Elisa attack and if Kopecky don't shut it down! she win! her teammate is riding at the back so she can counter attack again and again!! RazDU, you don't have a clue!!

@@mracer8 No. There is no scenario where either Trek racer drops Kopecke or Voss that far from the line. None. The best chance would have been to let Kapecke and Voss worry that no one is going to pull them to the line, and cause them to worry that they will lose their chance to win by having the chasing group join. Force Kopecke and Voss to work. Then with less than 2 km to go, make a strong attack by Shirin, which would get closed, followed by a strong attack by Elisa (who can TT), which might get closed ... and if it does, sit on wheels and wait for the sprint letting Kopecke or Voss lead out. Once thing i learned in racing is you never, EVER pull for a far superior adversary.
Meh. Boring racing as usual. They just don't have the speed or the power to make it exciting. Almost no fans along the finish route or at the finish... because nobody really cares about womens "pro" racing.
