  • So satisfying to see hockey karma in action haha. Forsberg's goal was a textbook kicking motion and it was a joke that it wasn't reviewable, McCarron's hit on Casey DeSmith in G3 forcing us to start our third string goalie, and then the cheap shot from Lauzon on Pettersson after scoring a goal.

    • I've noticed he does his best to support the refs and not go against them. I think this is something he keeps in mind for a long playoff run. Maybe the league/refs pay attention to that thru the entire playoffs. Maybe the 2011 Canucks could have benefited from this mentality. But back then we might have already had a bad reputation with the refs, considering our diving back then.

    • @@riggermorpus True. but the guys young and experiencing a horrible slump at probably the most important time in his career so far, nobody really thinks the Canucks have a shot this year yet they are playing pretty well against one of the hottest teams in the league post deadline all while trotting out the ghost of Petey. When he's performing to his potential imo still the best player on the Canucks, if he can manage to rebound there might actually be a deep playoff push after all (Assuming nobody gets hurt).

The media guy asked Tochet, why it's been such a challenge for the Canucks to be more aggressive against the Predators, when the biggest elephant in the room, is the Canucks having to use their back-up back-up goaltender from the minors in a pressure pack Stanley Cup playoffs.. Wow ..

    • What a bad take. You win games with offense and you play defense with a descending line of accountability with the goalie on the last line. Our goalkeeping is fine Demko or not. Always has been. Let's stop hanging them out to dry and go from there. Zone to zone play is disrupted and puck battles and faceoffs are being lost. There's no flow with consistency.

    • Even making it to round 2 down two goalies is really hard to pull off so would be happy if they just do that Beyond that I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect a whole lot more like stopping McDavid and Draisaitl would be hard enough with Demmer and I know the Canucks season swept the Oilers but the Jets season swept the Avs and look at them so if Canucks do well in round 2 would be pleasantly surprised but wouldn’t expect it at this point
