There are not sufficient superlatives to describe the degree of excellence, artistry, athleticism and precision of the Moiseyev Ballet troupe. Just wonderful, all of them! Nobody in the world can dance like Russians: the best!
I am an American and the quality of movement and musicality and detail is absolutely incredible. The hard work and the ethic to make this look effortless is immeasurable. Russia really does have the highest standard for dance in the world. So wonderful to see so many cultures represented here - from Eastern Europe, to Asia, to Latin America :) Cheers.
From a minute 3:23 and to the end it was the Ukrainian dance, NOT russian. Some elements was stolen from Georgian national dance, some Spanish, and most of it Ukrainian. russia like always been biggest thief of everything.
I like that they're not selling sex in their dance (although I know Russia is not immune to it). Definitely puts these at a higher level. I wish the US would catch up with that understanding. Leaders need to set a higher standard. Even the Olympics are riddled with it but the more modest dress with high technical ability IS more impressive.

@@kanders5031 Agree, and the funny thing is that the holistic dance produced by this Ballet, not focused on sex, is incredibly attractive. These dancers are gorgeous. The Western flaunting of sexuality cheapens it and is actually a turn-off to conscious people. Too bad more people here don't see how off-track we are culturally. I would so love to see a dance company like this in the US.

Those guys are just made of muscle , steel like bones and rubber , they are phenomenal . The amount of effort it must require to build that type of body deserves the utmost respect . And on top of that , they make it look effortless . No wonder the ones who fail at Ballet in Russia, still end up some of the best Gymnasts in the world or as the top athletes or performers in the best sports or Circuses in the world . When it comes to physical excellence , leave it to the Russian Ballet and its discipline .
There is no finer training. They are The Very Best of the Best!

Quando ero una ragazzina (ora ho 62 anni) mi ricordo venne a Roma un balletto della Russia Mossaiev così si chiamava nn so se si scrivesse così. Una cosa è certa nn ho mai dimenticato quei fantastici ballerini. Fantastici e meravigliosi mi fecero sognare allora e ancora oggi mi fanno sognare. Una bravura eccezionale. I saw them when i was 5 when they came to New York. It was like being plugged into an electric socket! This dance company is my absolute favorite in the world. Beyond NYCB, beyond Bolshoi, Beyond Stuttgart, To this moment, they thrill and bring the thrill of great dance to all people. Thank you Igor and all who keep this work alive and present.

Actually, this is the ACADEMIC ENSEMBLE OF THE PEOPLE'S DANCE. Of course, different from ballet. The movements are taken from folk classical dances and brought to perfection!!

I really enjoy watching the rehearsal, where I appreciate the great athletic achievement even more than at a performance, because at the performance I tend to take it for granted as something expected but at the rehearsal I am impacted how these real people are able to perform superhuman moves!
