How a Butcher Makes 4 Dishes From 1 Rotisserie Chicken - Give a Chef
We’re bringing back the legendary Brent Young, butcher-owner of the Meat Hook and Cozy Royale, and presenting him with a new challenge - transform a rotisserie chicken into four dishes. Using every part of the chicken, including the carcass, he whips up a Caesar wrap, buffalo chicken dip, cassoulet, and chicken stock.
Save this for the next time you bring home a grocery store chicken!

BRING THEM BACK SPEAKING FOR EVERYBODY
YES
Brent left Meat Hook. End of story.
@@QuantumBeard I think you have the boys confused. Brent is in the video. Ben Turley is who left The Meat Hook.
@@QuantumBeard You're confused. End of story.
@@dork742Correct. The important point being that they no longer work together. Maybe a collab here and there is possible, but from all I’ve found it seems their days of working together are over. Unsure if it was an amicable end or not.
BRING THEM BACK!
Ok, still on the "Bring them back" train, but Brent killed this video. I also want more of these. Thanks Brent!
Been rewatching Prime Time for a week and I feel like I manifested this
This episode is for you!
Bring them back please!
I missed you all! come back!
I NEED MY BOYS BACK
BRING IT BACK
"Order of operations" - I wish more recipes/videos/etc. were organized this way - I spend the first half hour working on almost every new recipe figuring out what I have to do first, how long it's going to take, what steps I can work on at the same time, etc., etc.
ARE THEY BACK?!
One is
Primetime was great! Glad to see Brent back.
Bring back Prime Time! Pay them whatever it takes. Give them a new restaurant, send their kids to college. Buy them Tesla’s. Let them butcher in the Teslas! Just bring them back!! Please.
Seriously, bring these dudes back.
Thank you Brent and #Eater. It's always great to promote ways to make multi meals from one group of ingredients . Let's not forget making individual chicken pot pies as well. Special thanks to the cinematographer who knew to focus on Brent's hands when he was cooking/prepping rather than his face (no offence Brent) as this is how we learn. I would guess that over 80% of all KZhead cooking videos fail to focus on showing the actual techniques -- everything from folding a wrap to the proper order to add veggies and meats into a pan for cooking. Give that person a raise!
BRING THE SHOW BACCCCCKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BRING THEM BACK!!!!!!And you can make some good one-pot rice-and-beans out of Brent's last recipe
Stop teasing us Eater and bring them boys back they innovated alot of meat stuff on youtube including the beef Porcheta
I’m still drooling over that beefcheta
The chicken stock from the rotisserie chicken carcass was a game changer for me. It is very flavorful and has so many uses.
Yum! Loved your recipes; particularly the dip and cassoulet. I love a fat club sandwich the day it comes home, then some curry chicken salad for the next day. If I don’t use it up in a day or two, I simply section it off and stash the baggies in the freezer. It makes up nicely later when I add it to a curry sauce with some veg., or add it to a wrap with a bit of spinach. A big yes on making stock (or soup) from the bones.
Please bring them back!!
Just bought chicken from Costco and made chicken Caesar salad wrap. Tastes great! One note I guess is I used store bought tortilla and didn’t heat it so it doesn’t wrap nice and break easily
Good to have you back Brent 👍
Best day ever BRING THEM BACK!!!
Bring them back!!!!
Great to see you back Brent!
Great recipes. Thank you very much 😊
Bring primetime back!!
Missed you mate, good to see you back!
Bring them back!
BRING THEM BACK
OH YEAH! Love this guys! More more more! :)
Definitely going to make the chicken wraps tomorrow. The Dip also looks super good for when you have some guests over.
Awesome! Loved it!
Want prime time back!
One of the tastiest rotisserie chicken i've ever seen
Love them, we need more videos of these guys! That soundtrack sounded a bit like KISS’ “I Was Made For Loving You.”
I'm glad you back
Prime Time is literally the only reason I subscribe to Eater
wow, great! thanks
Hey, where is Ben? Love Brent. Prime time. Prime Time. Prime Time. Come on guys!
Sadly I think he's taking a break. 😭 He says he's the owner of the meat hook. If you check the meat hook website, you see Brent but Ben's gone and if you search for him, he seems to be into French movies now.
Hell yeah there back
At 1:28 I was sure Brent was going to say "Super easily, barely an inconvenience."
On my behalf BRING THEM BACK
Thank you for this video, I subsist on rotisserie chicken. My lazy ass prolly won't do these recipes regularly but it's been very educational!
Yeah, I missed these guys.
People SERIOUSLY underestimate how IMPORTANT homemade stock is... IT IS LEAGUES above store bought stuff
Costco or Sam’s Club Rotisserie Chicken @ $5 is such a steal. Fresh Fryers cost twice that or more. 💰💰💰
lol shhhh... i usually buy 5-6 of them weekly, cut them up in sections as you would for a whole raw chicken for dark and white meat, individual sandwich bag wrapped, then toss in freezer bags labeled.. $30 bucks pre cooked meals adding your own side dish of fresh veggies or make it into anything you want. Beats it every time for me!
BIFF!!!!! I mean...... BRENT!!!!!
Helll yeah!
Grocery stores should put pork belly on the rotisserie sometimes.
I wonder what’s easier, breaking down a raw chicken or an already cooked chicken?
I like this guy
BRING THEM BACK!!! and also WHERE IS BEN???
1:15 SO REAL.
Knowing his partner left the business, I understand why he's not here. But still, have Brent full-time again.
OK, I'll be giving the 'cassoulet' a crack! And that Caesar salad looks great. Also, I'm sorry, but ranch dressing is unknown to the rest of the world.
GET THE BAND BACK TOGETHER
Bring Primetime back please
Is this the official return of biff ???????
Used to be my favorite food related channel. It was so GREAT! BRING THEM BACK!! Unless male egos destroyed it.
Yes!!!! You didn't make like a tree and get the hell out 😂, good to see you on here again, where's your partner?
Why the silly blue gloves and oh yeah, Bring them back!!
Hey it's this guy! Nice, I like this dude.
More episodes of prime time! Pleeeeeeeease!
What a great video.
Bring the Sausage Squad back 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
yeah looks like Ben Turley (mustache) left the Meathook to do other things, but it's not like they had a Beatles split.
The whole reason I watched was for the butchers
I’ve gotten sick from eating too much buffalo chicken dip SO MANY TIMES
Moving out on his own these days!
I never go to a restaurant and order what I can get from Costco for $5.
Ranch?!? Blue cheese!
I’m sure Eater would love to bring them back but they have restaurants to run 😭
BRING BACK PRIMETIME!!!
How long has it been???
Where the hell have these guys been!?
Personally, I pull the skin out after it's crisp before I add stock
B&B!! B&B!! B&B!! B&B!! B&B!! B&B!!
YOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
brent looks so different with out a pompadour
BRING BACK PRIMETIME ON MY MAMA
I thought it was Biff from back to the future
Lmfao I Save a fawk ton of money and time buying Costco rotisserie chicken weekly at least 5 -6 chickens that's $30 bucks! only, Cut them up in sections , wrapped in sandwich bags then toss in freezer bags accordingly for soups, salads and sandwiches with sharp kitchen scissors, freezed and throw some in the fridge just to do these meals and more.. rather than buying those frozen bags of cooked chicken breast and raw chicken package... it's already cooked! toss in the pot, airfryer or microwave and eat. Way better than fawkin Frozen tv dinners.. then I just buy fresh veggies, tortilla, bread, pasta, noodles to go along with it. if i feel like a salad, sandwich or side dishes.. this is way better than Fast food joints!!!
Give us prime time again… pls
We need Ben
Hes very handsome….and funny😊
Did they part ways?
no garlic in Caesar dressing?
BIFF!
9:48 But if I use canned beans, I feel like the dish will be overpoweringly sweet. /s
Why did this show go away?
BRING BACK PRIME TIME!
BRING PRIMETIME BACK
Algorithm worked today
$5 Costco chicken
Where’s Ben?!?!?!?!?
Half way there ……
where's murray mustache?
Where's Ben? :(
