  • Always start w the center panels and work your way outwards on each side. The center panels set the whole side. I highly recommend Tapcon anchors to secure the gazebo or pergola if its concrete.

  • Using the drill is a must, if you want to be even faster and happier while building go ahead and pull all the hardware out of the plastic and put it in some labeled plastic bowls or get some of the metal magnetized trays to hold them. That way you not trying to look at the labels on the front of the plastic after the back is open and you're not struggling to get the screws free from the plastic the whole time.

  • 10 plus years of assembling, maintaining, moving fitness equipment and this has been my go to! But it takes some practice and skill to not cross thread or round out screws/ bolts. I also found out early that Dewalt 12v system is way lighter and powerful enough to handle all assembly needs.

  • Last year we installed a similar 10x12 one. A nail set puch was really useful to align the roof pannels before screwing them down. And yah we used screwdrivers with Allen key bits, it was quite a workout! Thx for all the videos!

  • I installed (by myself!) the 10x12 purple leaf gazebo this weekend (during constant rain)- your video was the best one that I viewed. You provided actual close up installation video and tips on installation - the highlights for me were not tightening hardware (leave "loose") installing the roof in stages and to work from the middle panels first (so screws could be installed and reached!) also location of the ladder - all great comments and suggestions. I hired our long time builder to dig footings and he was astounded that it was "perfectly square" when he measured - I never touched a level - just the followed the directions and your "tips" - thank you so much!

  • I just finished assembling one of these (different brand but same concept) a few days ago... Your drill bit suggestion was a life saver! Not to mention I also learned the purpose of those number settings on drill... 34 years old, been using power tools since my early teens and only just learned that haha. Thanks so much for the tips! I'd like to also advise, be careful with some of the aluminum parts can bend / pinch easy and if they do.... You're not going to be happy. I had to bend / fix several parts that the roof panels slid on. I also want to say... Instructions said 3 people.... Did it with 1.5 (my mother helped and she claims she is only worth half a person haha. Overall it wasn't as bad as I was expecting.

  • @Home RenoVision DIY I have almost the same Gazebo from Costco and some of the center roof panels are not bolted down on both sides but held down by the adjacent panels... If you are in a windy area like I am, that doesn't work. Since i am not interested in searching for my gazebo roof in the neighborhood, I tied them down with zip ties to the frame. Holes for the ties to go through are already stamped in the panels. Little hack great benefit.

We wound up buying our garage shelving units to use as scaffolding to work above hot tub. What a process! Yes everything stays loose till final step . Don't forget gloves with metal sheets. We didn't remove letter stickers so 3 years later it is still the alphabet palace haha well worth the challenge installing it!

  • Good build! Took you more than 3h30 (more like 4h30). Gazebo assembly's are all different even if they look similar so make sure to always follow every step of the manual in order to prevent losing time. (Check twice, install once). Also, this is a very simple model, don't get fooled into thinking they are all this fast. The fast majority of models of 10 x 10 will take a good 5-6 hours with the proper material.

Another thing you can do is buy a cheap set of allen keys, and angle grind them into pieces and just simply Chuck them in the drill. But I know you guys knew that as he did. I went over and found a crap 10mm nut driver and sawed the handle off. I then used a battery drill with that "socket and did all tthat work ion jig time. I just hand threaded the bolt on a thread or two and then used the driver to tighten everything down. All the threads were clean because we had just removed the bolts so we didn't need any power to "chase" threads. We got all those done in 2-1/2 hours because of the time saved y using the driver. • Great instructions and tips! Where did you get such a nice support pole? Was it included with the gazebo? If you bought, please share. Thank for the video.

  • We just bought one and are going to put it out on our patio. Do we need to drill it into our stone? We live in the Midwest so we get all four seasons.
