My deceased husband knew better. I don't eat chocolate, and I prefer silk flowers over real ones. Flowers soon die, and the chocolate can contribute to diabetes. I have 2 dozen red silk roses my husband gave me for my birthday several years ago before he got sick. They still look beautiful, and need a little dusting now and then. I had a friend in college that was actually rich, but very friendly. I didn’t know she was rich until the summer of 2019 when I saw her Mercedes, and house. I didn’t even care. But unfortunately two years later, she moved out to Southern California for modeling
Sounds like she is a cool person, I'm glad you had that experience. I was one of those kinds of kids but I was more the mindset of people don't care. I was friendly like her though and did care for others but wasn't always good at showing it. College turned that around for me really quick especially with my college senate service. Seems like she's one of the few that don't fall into the wealth trap and abides by the warnings of wealth. It cannot save you from death, no amount of wealth can buy your way out of the grave. You cannot bribe the angles or the saints to let you live longer than what your allotted. It doesn't define you (this is where your college friend especially fits in nicely) it cannot make you better faster stronger or smarter than another person. Unfortunately you can't take it with you even after you go, is having wealth a bad thing, no but how you use it can be bad. I learned that during a sermon November 2020. To often we fall into those traps and it's refreshing when we hear of situations like yours. Thank you for sharing with us! May she live well the rest of her life her and same to you.
