Agree with Jerry. This needs to be video, not just audio. Gold.
Yeah. I keep saying this. Even Jerry's episode only pulled 75k views.... Would do way more with video
Gold, Jerry! Gold!
For sure! Need video!
@@dr_redbanRLAs michael said gold Jerry gold.
What was that 90’s show called? “FELDMAN!” Spade’s under the breath comments are the best 😂
"I'll know it when I hear it." I laughed so hard while Carvey completely ignores him.
This guy JS dated a 17 year old When he was 36.
Like anyone could ever forget the all time classic sitcom "Newman!". Of course it wasn't about Newman really, and centered around the misadventures of real life stand up comedian Kenny Bania.
Bizarro Kramer!
@@jacksonjack7838 And?
"I always thought the jerry lewis telethon was too long." 🤣
It was!!!
Than was the theme back when that show started. It was a MARATHON TV show. I remember as a teenager (late 60's) the "walk" type fund raisers were sponsored by the mile. The more miles I would walk the more money I would raise for the cause. You would get people to sponsor you for so much per mile walked. Up to the time limit or distance allowed. It was a BIG DEAL to stay up and watch the whole program.......
Yes! And, "...if I have to have a black guy in there." I was dying with the rest if the group there. Killed.

@@CharlieTWilbury Yep. Many times the best comedy is all about the throw aways.
If everyone's honest Howard Stern hasn't had a good show in like 11 years. He didn't embrace the Internet and he blocks the comment section on all of his social media platforms. That's not how social media works.
At least. He’s ruined especially now that he’s gone woke publicly
(reply blocked by Howard Stern)
Feedback is the breakfast of champions.
I know this is annoying for the old people to hear but how could you not turn a camera on for this clashing of the unenthused titans??? From a business stand-point, you're cutting out a huge number of views you're gonna get from it altogether but from a fun stand-point.. I love seeing Jerry in his late 40's talk about stuff so let's get that up and running for next time.
This pod especially needs the visual. I discovered this pod three months ago. Loved the audio/visual eps. Then tried the audio only, and they were awful. Tried a bunch, couldn't do it.
Jerry's a boy in his early 70s
75k views is sad. They're wasting good guests and episodes by it being audio only. I would watch if it was video, I don't even listen tbh I just come here to say this every week
Podcasters of a certain age -kinda want to -kinda don’t want to -WORK! Therefore, the half-@ssed work ethic. Gentlemen, your porch rockers await.
Em I actually prefer no camera, these guys work hard enough and I like the fact they can just talk and not care what the lighting is like or what to wear ect . Plus I've seen em enough lol. O and also if u like listening when going to sleep it's relaxing knowing it's just a pod 😊 but I do understand your wanting to see as well
I love how long this episode was instead of rushed feeling like alot. If Seinfeld huge busy star can do this long they all can. Let's keep them longer
“alot” ISN’T A WORD.
Just finished the laundry. Next I'll tackle the dishes. If I've timed it right, this podcast will end just before my kid gets off the bus. I love the podcasts because it's like my two buddies are with me cracking jokes and telling stories as I do the drudgeries of my day. Thanks guys!

Hearing Jerry say shit with such vehemence has made my day! 😂
Seinfeld’s show was the funniest sitcom ever. Jerry came to Bakersfield and did a show in 2018 and had us in stitches. My wife, my 19 yr old son in a Seinfeld shirt who had watched every episode on dvd prior. What made it great was how he tailored his act to the area lampooning raisins for instance. It felt like he wrote it in the car on the way there while observing the terrain. Would love to see any of you guys live. Thanks
Seinfeld show was great b/c it was about nothing. Most shows get stale really quickly b/c the writers feel the need to continuously develop the characters personalities/ lives. Curb Your Enthusiasm is the same. South Park and Family Guy as well. The Simpsons went woke a few years ago.
seinfeld was good but not even close to the best sitcom ever, Reno 911 is far funnier for a start, Father Ted, The Larry Sanders Show, Norm McDonald's show wasn't even that far off Seinfeld.
Jerry has frozen his comedy in the 90s.
@@reverandglennthe Simpsons had anti-homophobia and pro-Vegetarian/animal rights episodes since the early ‘90s. Define “going woke”
Are there a lot of raisins in Bakersfield?
Calling Seinfeld's dog "lemons" ..Spade, you're my spirit animal 😂
Seinfeld show. Nine years of wonderful comedic art.
I found the shows pretty predictable
@@MLM68 When someone is not impressed by the Seinfeld sitcom, I am always compelled to ask- What DO you think is funny?
@@matthewhetzler4912 subjective. Some people enjoy Cheers. Some enjoy Louie. It's not linear for everyone. That said, Seinfeld is damn good.
@@matthewhetzler4912 I just found the show predictable. if I could see most of the jokes coming, I really don’t find that funny. I literally remember one show I was watching it and thinking did I write this because I see it all coming. For example the show Kraemer gets the talkshow set in his apartment. That show completely ripped off the movie kings of comedy. I had to turn that one completely off.
@@MLM68 I don't think people realize how often the show was deliberately referring to their favorite movies.

Seinfeld absolutely destroyed Howard Stern with his comments.

@@njcolvin92it was between 00:24 and 1:25:07. I forget.
Yes, he was definitely upset by it. I love Howard but Jerry is right. Great interviewer, very funny at times but not a comedian. He's been "out flanked" by plenty of people.

Great episode. 3 comedy heroes. I wish David would get more credit for some of the gutbusters he peppers in these episodes.
“It’s poetry that makes air burst out of your mouth.” Love that.
We are listening/observing pure comedians in their natural habitat- wait- omg!! Fly on the Wall! I GET it!
Spade needs to bring back the Hollywood Minute.
That’s how his stand-up should’ve always been like; no need to bring it “back”.
Yeah, someone who pokes fun at the Hollywood elites. Not someone who kisses their butts. We all know what this podcast likes to do without me needing to say it. I was amazed Dana got at least ONE question in obliquely referring to the disastrous reviews of Seinfeld's Netflix movie.
YES. Absolutely loved every single one. Spade in America too.
I can't wait to hear this...I don't know if they will touch on "Unfrosted" but it bums me out that most reviews are lukewarm or negative. Do they realize what an original concept it is and how much work went into it to make it accurate for 1963? I was 12 then and the nostalgia went straight to the heart. So many good actors.
Listening to comedians pretending they liked Jere’s movie was the funniest part of this podcast

“Jere” is less letter than“Jerry”. Just say Jerry.

No one studies & analyzes comedy to the degree Seinfeld does. He is so intelligent in general but he knows everything about stand up. Listening to Dana and David, who also are so knowledgeable & passionate about and successful in comedy, discussing comedy with him was a great listening experience. Really did feel like being a fly on the wall.
I wish this podcast was on video. Legends.
Years ago i saw seinfeld live twice. Before he had family and after when he had and added family material to his act. The family material was next level hilarious.
The reason that comedians are desperate for the company of their peers, and why the public at large loves this format, is that it takes a certain level of intellect and wit to be a comedian, or to have a good sense of humor in general. So comedians are really thinkers and students of human behavior, philosophers of a sort, and they're bizarre, anyone can have a sense of humor, but a true comedian is just so eternally thirsty for the bit, and the laughs, it's their gold. It's hard to find anything real nowadays, something that's not really just all about money. Passion is rare, it's thin pickins when you're away from that comedy tribe.
comics are a pretentious bunch. back in the day, there were only a handful. most of their sets were "secret". Not for public comsumption because they were so protective of their material. Now, theres too many. All of them are scared of being canceled.

Amen! Dana behaves like a child actor. Who wants to hear about Hans and Frans for the billionth time? Especially when the guest is Jerry Seinfeld?! Dana, please let Spade and your guests shine.
When I was a kid I could spend hours at my Grandpa's house because he had a lot of stairs that went upstairs.......and also downstairs and I would bring my slinky. I also absolutely loved the Big Wheel. Today as a guy in my 50's and I see a Big Wheel on tv I smile.
Stairs usually do go upstairs and downstairs. There's actually no other way for them to go.
Such a great podcast! Woulda loved video too on this one! 3 of the greats and I truly laughed out loud a bunch!
Regarding comedians opening up for music: New York, an early post-Genesis Peter Gabriel gig, anticipation at a fever pitch. Rich Hall opens. He comes on and delivers one of the best opening lines I’ve ever heard: “Hi! I’m Peter Gabriel, and you’ve been screwed...” The crowd roared, and was won over immediately.
Norm MacDonald and Adam Eget's podcast originally aired in 2013. That might've been one of the first comedic podcasts. Definitely one of my favorite.

Jerry's candor is always refreshing. Agreed - If you're not funny, keep on moving. Maybe it's the spectrum. Maybe it's just most people are uninteresting.
Maybe it's that people don't like pedos.
What do you call a boring vegetable? Onionteresting. Hey man - we can't all have six fingers on each hand. Being uninteresting is just social conditioning. So is using conditioner. I know that's bad, no need to rub it in. I have alphabet soup. Can I have a word in your ear?

I still have fond memories of Opportunities Knocks as a kid. Not that it's important, but it was actually 1990, not 1988 (that was Moving).
This is the way radio used to be - talk radio before it became all about politics. I remember the great Los Angeles talk host Michael Jackson, on KABC 790. He'd bring in someone from entertainment, from science, authors, producers, business people for an hour and it was usually very interesting. Comedy talk is very interesting too, and even though talking about the business is not necessarily laugh out loud funny, but highly entertaining. I enjoy reading about and listening to talk about the entertainment business.
Yes I remember that ❤
