    • The low-backed couch makes every halfway-tall person either lean forward, or lean back awkwardly. It's been a staple of the show for years, but I've often wondered if they would ever replace it with something more comfortable. Even after the Covid-era change of scenery, when they came back to normal, the same couch returned. If Austin is going to lean on the back of the couch, he has no choice but to lean in that direction. And if Josh is going to lean on the back of the couch, he has no choice but to lean in that direction. They seem to have a good rapport; I wouldn't read anything into it.

  • Realistic bald caps are notoriously difficult to pull off! (And by "pull off," of course I mean, "put on." English is a funny language, lol!) Having seen the film, I could tell they did something to his eyebrows, but I assumed that he had shaved his head. Surely it would have been easier for him to wear a wig in his next film, than mess around with a whole prosthetic bald cap in this one? Different budgets, maybe. And the eyebrow piece could be seamlessly one with the bald cap; that could have its advantages, too, I suppose. Mostly it's getting the neck to look right! Making sure that the prosthetic- as exquisitely sculpted as something like this is- doesn't wrinkle in the wrong way, in a way than neck skin isn't supposed to- is a tricky thing to get just so! These days there are also Digital Touch-up tools that can help with things like edges and wrinkles. But that does add another layer of time and work and expense! He looked incredible; very creepy, very villainous.

    • Frank Herbert only wrote six books, of which the first four are generally considered the best and most plot-relevant. The others were written by his son Brian and the author Kevin J Anderson, two of which were based on Frank's unfinished final book, and the rest most being prequels. They are generally considered to be of much lower quality and to contradict a lot of what his father wrote, although even with Frank's work there seems to be a consensus that his later books were not as good as his first few either. Also, some sources say there are 28 books, others say 26 and others 23. I think the higher numbers count encyclopaedias, comics, short stories and the like.
