Such a good method. Ive seen long heavy staples used across the crack before. They go in hot then as they cool they shrink and pull the crack together.
That sounds like a great method. Do you know if they have a specific name? I’d love to try them out some time.

Where did you get the hose clamp with that longer piece sticking out past the tightener part?
It’s just an automotive hose clamp cut right where the threads start.

How does that kind of crack happen?
Could be a number of things. This horse had a major injury when he was younger that resulted in a nasty scar at the hairline so the slightest imbalance causes him to crack. Thanks for watching!
