I cannot but wonder how or in what direction this beautiful voice will go, tenor or counter or indeed who can tell. Whatever is the result of his future development it can only be beautiful to the ear. I am 92 years old and I can only hope that I live long enough to hear him sing as a young man .

I love this since hearing it in the movie Farinelli which was always my favorite version. Now, hearing Aksel doing it by himself with just 2 instruments, I've changed my mind! By far the best version of this most beautiful composition from a mostly forgotten opera. Below, is one translation of many, and we can use some mercy with all that's going on in 2023. Wonderful interpretation of this aria by Aksel, Thank you! Let me weep My cruel fate, And that I should have freedom. The duel infringes within these twisted places, in my sufferings I pray for mercy.

They are undoubtedly agitated, but they must behave with restraint in accordance with diplomatic Protocol. They expressed their emotions in loud and long applause.

I am sure all the experts and music critics out there will be able to pick holes in this performance of Lascia ch'io pianga by Aksel, Of course there is always someone willing and eager to criticise. Writing as someone who merely appreciates good music and indeed,Artists of all types, I find this, and so many of his other performances ,to be absolutely superb. The way he interprets the music and uses this incredible instrument that he has at his disposal ,albeit tor far too short a time , is very, very special. We are so fortunate that he has been able to record so many of his performances. I can only thank him and wish him all the very best for his future singing career,,now as a Baritone. Look forward to many more years of him entertaining us .
