Gone is the era of the epic sax guy. This is the age of epic flute guy.
Tears of the Kingdom's sound track is incredible. Hearing it in this compilation was the highlight for me. It felt like it really lifted the piece. Also, can we take a moment to acknowledge that Flute Guy has no music stand? That mad lad memorized every one of his parts on multiple flutes. It's no wonder he himself has fans!
Goddamn, I didn't even think about that
Flute Guy was the true hero of the show.
Yötön Yö as the opening is such a beautiful choice for Alan Wake. It's a gorgeous song
Using the bridge part of Yötön yö was actually a rather bold/genius move. I think even some who played AW2 might not remember/recognize it, since it is not repeated all that often in the game (the save room radios play the instrumental version but you'd rarely if ever stay for long enough to hear the bridge).
So i stopped by to check out the show right as this started. The live chat absolutely loved the energy of Flute Guy.
The Game Awards Orchestra.. the one thing I always look forward to whenever the Game Awards comes up! Would love to see you react to them yearly.
Lorne Balfe composed the score for Assassins creed 3 if you're interested in checking it out. Its one of my favourite Assassins Creed soundtracks.
Too familiar with AC music as it is one of my favorite games to play. Not good for candid reactions.
The re4 mining cart soundtrack is F* AMAZING! got me so pumped up!
You're such an awesome guy! Hope u continue your appreciated work on YT & Twitch for a long time!
TOTK always til this day give me chills!
Hey man! Ultrakill releaced a new segment of their game and it has a hell of an ost, would recommend you check out the music for the violence layer
Great video! I like your insight into music production as always. As a regular non-musician, I could say what I like about these video game music pieces, but that’s all. It’s nice to hear from a professional!
Thank you Vic!
I've loved the TGA medleys ever since the amazing one from 2012 involving Dishonored and Assassin's Creed among others. Now Flute Guy I'd actually seen before when I went to see Hans Zimmer live, so it felt so special to see him on stage at the Game Awards the first time! I loved it when he stole the show last year, playing a different kind of flute everytime he was on camera. I believe they've also had the same percussionist that he goes on tour with before, a guy with a majestic beard named Satnam Ramgotra!
I would like to politely ask you to make a video on "Stained, Brutal Calamity" it's the supreme calamitas theme from the calamity mod of terraria. it's about 13 minutes long and honestly deserves a video and i think you're going to love it.
Does he know?
You should look up "StringPlayerGamer Terraria Calamity". You'll be in for a little surprise. ;)
If balders gate 3 didn’t came out this year what would have been your second choice for goty?
Easy, Alan Wake 2.
Tears of the Kingdom.
Can't wait for helldivers 2 in that medley.
you should listen the PHIGHTING ost!! here are some songs! -take your time -OVERTIME!? -sensory overload -dodgebrawl -styleish stickup -dueling winds -strike of luck -see you on -the flipside
Re4 is the Krauser boss battle theme - yes, I had to look it up too. I beat the game 9 times and the only music that really stuck with me was the credits song and Ada's DLC soundtrack....
Did you never play Pistol Only on Professional? Doing that would make you memorize Krauser's theme.
@@emperorpalpatine4953 I did pistol and Knife only... the infinite Knife and fully upgraded Mathilda made it kinda trivial though... I didn't do it on professional as the achievement only needs a game completion... I did it on easy.
You should check out “Ride the Cyclone’s” music, it’s not a game, but- It’s an amazing musical that definitely is worth checking out!
might be a bad idea (you might not like the music) but you should lisen to undertale yellow A Mother's Love, forlorn and Retribution great boss themes
I remember Pedro playing win Yanni - it was brilliant
*with Yanni, of course ^)
Waiting for this guy to lissten to Touhou Project soundtracks. that stuffs downright addicting, man
Ok one game I’m hoping you’d check out is bramble the mountain king it’s very good and it only came out about 7 months ago and the game itself is about Nordic folklore
As a percussionist I was slightly disappointed they chose the singular tempo and progression but I get it makes it easier for the short rehearsals.
I had hoped BG3 would win. Though I have not played the other games or even heard their soundtracks.
5:12 The theme used for RS4 Remake is the battle against Krauser the OG is different also ALSO LONG LIVE FLUTE GUY hahaha
Good stuff.
yes it is@@StringPlayerGamerOfficial
do stained brutal calamity, and threats of the ocean floor please.
The re4 one was krauser's theme
Flute guy won the game awards
Yup
Could you please listen to two bloodborne soundtrack's: Ludwig the accursed and Ludwig the holy blade?
No video on heilung, featured in senuas saga?
You should check out the Dead Cells soundtrack. I'm not that into music, but a lot of it is really good!
I Don't know if you're able to or willing to cover copyrighted music but there's a band that to me seems like a hidden gem. "Ne Obliviscaris" would love if you covered some of their songs. For me what seperates them from the rest is the blend of clean and harsh vocals, as well as incorporating violin into metal.
Wrong channel.
@@StringPlayerGamerOfficial Fair enough. Was just curious what kind of hilariously exaggerated expressions you'd make about their wonderful pieces of art.
Thanks for understanding. I'm only passionate about video game music in this channel most particularly.
You know what would be super cool? If you took a look at the Witcher 1 main menu theme. It's so powerful! I saw your Witcher 3 videos, and I think The Witcher 1 soundtrack gives the most interesting and unique ambience of all 3 games in the series. As a long time Witcher fan, I can see how in the third game they aimed to go back to the roots, the music resembles the first game's tracks, but of course, the third game still has its own incomparable atmosphere and a touch of novelty in it, so it's not a carbon copy of the first game's music. In my opinion, the first game's soundtrack. Ones I remember that I would recommend are: 1. OST 30 'Menu' 2. OST 80 'The Witcher Theme (Credits) 3. OST 12 'Peaceful Moments' 4. OST 03 'River of Life' 5. OST 41 'Road to Vizim' 6. OST 23 'Tavern at the End of World'
Bro, can you check painkiller battle and ambient music. Train station ambience, battle music atrium complex, docks fight and opera fight
please I beg you, make a video playing the metal version of eda's requiem please 😭😭😭😭🥺🥺
"Flute" Guy... "Flute" Guy... hmmm I feel like there's some room for improvement there...
Say it. C'mon.
I recomend you to listen the road of the dead soundtrack it's very good i bet that you will like it pall.
I still have my problems with the orchestra. The medley lacked dynamics and highlighting what made each game unique this year. I would've swapped Alan Wake and Resident Evil's by their vocal themes (Follow You Into The Dark and The Bullet or The Blade) like they did with similar games' on 2019's orchestra (Control and Resident Evil 2). Baldur's Gate 3 choir got opaqued by the overwhelming rhythm and the Mario theme was almost indistinguishable. It seems they're afraid of break the tempo for some reason.
That's exactly what I was explaining at the end of the video about the creative limitation, but they definitely a different goal.
Would you like to listen to songs from Ivycomb Music?
doom video game musics ?
Luckily they had BG3 I didn't like most of that program and don't plan on watching again.
Добрий день! Прослухайте будь ласка більше треків з гри Hotline Miami, вони дуже проникаючі.
