We hit the Arizona canals not knowing what we were going to catch, but ended up getting a mini slam! We caught bass, tilapia and also carp!
Worms are such an underrated bait now a days. Everyone is into using the fancy new baits and forget that worms are just as effective.
The summer is hitting hard here in Arizona, so the fishing can be tough. It is important to find the shade in the canals or even in the urban ponds.
Urban fishing can be really fun especially when you find those really big bass or tilapia. Get yourself a bobber and start drifting it under those bridges!

I'm a Arizona born guy and have fished the canals since I was a child. I love how people just cruise by totally oblivious to the fact that there's fish in the canals! 🤣
Hahaha right?!
I didn’t know Carp eat worms.
Different fish same MAGIC! ✌️✌️ You just proved, match ur gear to the fish ur after n there are monsters everywhere!! ✌️ Great to see that u adapted so well!! ✌️✌️
You know it brother! Thank you for the support across the country stan 👊🏼👊🏼
I’m really digging the videos man. Keep up the good job 👍
Thank you jp my man 👊🏼
Great urban fishing tour my friend. A tiny suggestion .. modify a Home Depot (plug) extendable painting pole to fit your net. That inclined steel ladder is just a "leg breaker"!!
Already done! I have debuted it in a few vids already haha
Look at you catching a Solid bass😎 you are making some great videos. Awesome Tilapia..tight lines
Thank you George! Hey man we get em by accident sometimes lol
That was a quality bass, great video man!
Thank you bro! 🎣
Your becoming a multi-species Angler keep them coming
That was my roots, dc had me only on blue cats. I’m back baby
Thank you share... very Nice fishing,
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video.👍👍
Thank you man 🙏🏼
Me miss you over here on the east coast but fishing that canal looks great!

Nice man right up my alley
Yessir I knew you’d like this one
A small weighted bobber, cool. Why didn't you keep any though?
Monster fish on the worms. Tilapia was so pretty
Gotta love it! Those talapia fight crazy man🎣
Used to catch ‘em on Crawdad tails
I hit so many spots as well but sucks fishing alone 😆
😂😂😂 keep at it man you’ll get em
Man I would bring home that tilapia home for dinner unless there bad eating in AZ
They love and breed in the canals and I’m not a fan of the water 😅
Another good video Mark. I was wondering if you had any advice for me I’ve been out to about four different lakes still getting skunked for catfish chicken breast on the bottom
Thanks man! I would just look for some new water if you can. Also try different depths. Start with worms then build off of that
I’ll keep working on it thanks Mark
Nice bass, might be close to 3lbs. Good job
No never mind I thought it was Yuma but it’s Phoenix right? I’ve been to Phoenix and it looks just like it I remember we went in that neighborhood before😂 what a coincidence!
The " URBAN CANAL CRUSHER " does it again 🎣🎣 catching DONKEYS 🐳🐬🐋 AWESOME VIDEO AS ALWAYS DUDE 🤙🤙🤙
Your the man! Thank you my bro 🎣🎣
Hey! I know that spot from the SW videos. Time we paid it a visit!
Yea he hits this spot often! Definitely a reliable one
Nice I’ve always wanted to try canals where is this
Great video man! I’m in Arizona for 1 week and brought my fishing stuff with me. Watched this video and immediately want to give it a try. I know nothing about the fishing here. Would you mind sharing the spot? Or were I can park my car? Thanks!
I’m just now seeing this, you do any good?
Fish are everywhere ! Even if he gave you the spot the fish aren't going to be there waiting for you - just get out and fish !
Was there this morning caught bass right there to yea buddy

Hey man! Loved the vid! Are you using circle hooks?
Thank you! The first few fish no, but toward the end yes. I figured most fish were swallowing it so I didn’t swing it home

If you know it yah know it! Thanks 🙏🏼
Awesome , please can you tell me the location of this canal?
I’ve been wanting to fish the canals. Where do u usually park to get to that one?
Id like to know as well
Dude that's awesome I just moved to AZ from Idaho I live in the bull head area what part of the state are u fishing in ?
This is east valley
Are you able to eat fish out of the canal? I just moved here and will be here til August
Yes you can eat them. Tilapia, bass, bluegills, carp, all edible. Water is from rain and snow above and flows into the rivers and canals. No different than the lakes above. Born and raised here in Arizona.
That is the largest Tilapia I've ever seen my gord.
What can else do you fish in we're at if you can give me the location
I'm new to fishing. Where is this place
witch canal is this i live in the az area and want to fish it
Where is this at boss
That tilapia would feed a small family
Probably lol
Live worms are really one of my favorite baits. Any fish will eat worms, so they let you know what is in the water. You also get fish of all sizes. Oh, I read the regulations, and most of the codes. I also questioned the game police, or whatever they are called, on live bait. There's discrepancies between what the cop said and the regulations PDF. First, the PDF explains that these "rules" are made by a "commission", which sounds different from a legislating body to me. The regulations states that the commission decides where live bait is "allowed". Most of the allowed bodies of water are in the southern half of the state, but you have to check for your specific location. The cop told me it's not allowed in Yavapai Co. at all. Although the regulations show part ot the Verde river being permissible. Second, she said water dogs (along with crayfish) were also banned up in Yavapai, and alluded to them being banned like the (fish) live bait. The regulations states the they are larvea of a tiger salamander and not considered game. Although they are specifically banned in certain waters and areas. Third, the cop said that bait shops cannot sell live bait, and the regulations provide a way for bait shops to apply for a live bait license, this would include certain kinds of minnows as I read it. Sun fish are the only acceptable game fish, and you must catch it where you ate using it Finally, I asked her who is the commission...she said "we are". So I asked what is the specific code which bans the use of live bait and provides a punishment for a violation. She told me where to find the DGF codes generally, not the live bait code. They were also sticklers for killing your fish before transporting, and no transporting of live fish. So expect a ticket if caught in Yavapai
Yes worms are under rated! Yes I have done some digging on that as well. Pretty much found out what you just said
@@TheFishinMagician20 when law enforcement cannot keep track of the law, there is too much law. Also it says giving away fish counts as the receiver's limit. Then I found in another area of "rules" saying you can't give away fish. The cops didn't punish anyone for this yesterday. The law got Californicated, I've seen this before.
What’s this canal called🙏🏾I really need to find more active fishing spots
This is the canal that runs through chandler 👍🏼
@@TheFishinMagician20 thanks

Hi
If you ever want a fishing partner I’m here in phx!
Myself and a friend have fished that very spot dozens of times. All Bass though. We're doing drop shot roboworms of various colors. Definitely would not throw any crank or spinnerbaits in there due to lots of objects at the bottom. Not that we have any experience woth that of course...
NIce! Yea it is a very popular spot. and yes definitely a lot on the bottom there

It’s still good yea, once we get through the slump of cold weather. It got cold quick over here so fish are still adjusting I think
