KOK handled his answers very well and did not rise to the bait when prompted. His humility was most impressive.
But that "Asaba-Wood" talk at the beginning almost riled him up.. Ireti had to check him to not go into argument
@@dereomiebi977 Llo😊oil poop too😅
KOK is a man of wisdom and intellect
The Host is a rukkie. KOK Speaks as true Legend. He knows the inward doings of the industry. They should have listened more to him talking, so he can unravel deep linings that can help develop the industry better
*Rookie*
Arise pls always ask this madam working with you people to step up pls
She can't read well, and her pronunciation is average, which is concerning. It also seems as if she didn't prepare adequately for the show. That's another red flag

Sir Kanayo is on the side of being a PROFESSIONAL at your job. 👏 #Legend
Kanayo O. Kanayo you are so cool i love you sir
The host did an amazing job, in my opinion. She riled them up by asking them questions that would force them to speak their minds, and not just make political statements. Well done mama. Besides, it's not easy at all for any one person to sit in front of legends such as these guests, and still maintain a high level of audacity to cut them short, ask tough rattling questions, and remain composed in cases of a clap-back from the guests. She did well. And no one is talking about how intelligently Ireti Doyle reasons. She goes to a realm of objectivity against emotion which is rarely seen in the opinions made by most Nigerians and humans in general. I really loved the programme. Well done Arise TV ❤
This interview is bigger than it's host
Absolutely spot on
You're right 💯💯
Sadly you said my mind... I didn't know how to say it politely... That is why I didn't comment earlier...
Woww well said
Absolutely
Arise TV gives us professionalism with its morning show which features Ayo, Rufai and Rueben who research well and are articulate and respectful. Arise should realise that the diaspora watches so they need to continuously train their anchors.
The only "respect" person on the Arise TV Morning Show is Ayo. Thank you.
The TV host introduced Mr. Kanayo O. Kanayo in a manner that was disrespectful to his personality. She characterized him based on the script roles he played in certain movies, which was unnecessary. Mr. Kanayo O. Kanayo deserves more reputable accolades than what was outlined. He is one of the pioneers of the Nollywood film industry, and his efforts and hard work over the years, along with his colleagues, have contributed significantly to the growth of Nollywood. In fact, Nollywood would not be where it is today without their contributions. QED
Calm down. Profiles are normally sent in by the subjects themselves
Oga calm down.. Abi una dey the same cult
@@Hpsltd That is a fallacious assertion!. Citations are always done by hosts/anchors based on the research they themselves conduct and put out around their guests.
Ur right 😢
Am sorry to say she forgot a major quantifying thing here, he is a lawyer too. And many more. I think they need to do more in finding about someone be she intro. Thanks God bless us.
KOK I love you ❤ You're well experienced & professional 👏👏
Very professional indeed and experience
Really brilliant discourse. Ireti looks so well and aging gracefully...The three of them are paragons to be celebrated. Really proud of them!
KOK is the only who came ready for the interview... RMD seems detached from the reality of most of Nollywood,he was giving very vague and general answers that do very little in sorting the critical issues affecting the industry. Why was Ireti even here? She gets easily agitated by opinions that contradict hers, yet she's overall really clueless about everything... Out of the 3,KOK is the only one who still actively works in Lagos,Abuja,Asaba and Enugu and bold enough to point out critical areas that need work and solutions that might be beneficial to Nollywood. The interview would've been better and would've addressed more issues if we had KOK on the panel with "pro-Nollywood" practicioners like Hilda Dokubo,Segun Arinze or Fred Amata. .. RMD and Ireti can keep living in their own bubble.
Yeah, KOK pointed out sensitive issues in the industry. The host was average with the interview
Said it all
Exactly!
Plz madam host, plz take out time to read our comments ma. It will make you better. ACHIEVE MORE
Its team work that makes the dream work..KOK🔥💯
The programme host was too abrupt in her questioning and kept interrupting. Finishing sentences she shouldn't and even had to be cautioned by Ireti. She is forming overconfidence which doesn't go down well in this interview and comes across as unprofessional. I hope Arise is taking note of the feedback in the comments section. But overall, good points were raised by these veteran actors, and I hope proper solutions can be found for the problems within Nollywood on all the issues raised.
she thinks she knows everything but nothing at all I can't understand why she is still in this job
It is easier for you to sit where you are and know how it should be done.
She used to fight live on air with her co host, very unprofessional host, she's either a bad journalist, or she's a bad parody of one.
"kept interrupting" - Agree 💯💯💯
@@Tefera-hf8fwLearning never ends. Why shouldn't she be in the job? She will learn from her shortcomings please.
Kanayo is a legend
Kenneth okonkwo would have been best interviewed on this matter
They failed to safe think first, safety is Paramount
KOK is very insightful. And doesn’t paint words to drive his opinion home
KOK came with his A game to speak the truth without gain or favour. Ireti was making her point to attack the guide but missed the point that the interview was to get the truth and perspectives and not to win any argument. RMD was playing safe with his choice of words and was avoiding being tagged anything. The presenter need to learn more on how to moderate high profile interviews, she wasn't showing she had the abilities but there are rooms for improvements. Nice interview great guests
The tribal, political, and regional divide in Nollywood will always become an extremely major problem that will keep them apart
These guys are so mature. I love Ireti so sound and respectful. They seem to respect each other. God bless all of them
It was an honour to watch Nollywood Royalty on air. Very engaging session.
When i think of these 3 i feel like watching the Nigerian movies again
Ruth met her match in Ireti lol. Nice show as always
"Have you made it a one on one interview" 😂😂😂
Ireti's body language after Kanayo insisted on making his point speaks volumes. It's easy to note that she appears as someone who cannot be bothered about what she isn't interested in even if it's happening around her. There is a lot to deduce from her aloofness but it is her personality eventually
Exactly! Very nonchalant, rude and quite negative. I was so disappointed in her.
@@beautynje2777 but why?, their is alot to be done, and KOK is one of the; members of AGM , Ireti"s point is they need to do more.
@@victoriaizehi9183 if that is what you gathered from Ireti, that means you lack comprehension. She kept attacking and disrespecting KOK on all the valid points he was making. She doesn't care that 5 people died on a shoot and that the guild needs to put some structure in place to ensure this doesn't happen again. All she cared abouy was "is there a law". What a dolt. She doesn't care that actors are forced to work outside of their contracted hours. As a matter of fact that old hag said she'd provide water and food. What rubbish?! You don't own people because they work for you. You must abide by your contract that's why it was signed in the first place. This lady kept asking if this was in the law, like she never heard of policies, and procedures. And yes, it's against the law to overwork people. She just wants to keep exploiting people. Provided she's fine, evey other person can go to héll. I expected more from her. That's to say that someone speaks well doesn't mean they have sense, she was busy articulating rubbish. She's a huge disappointment.
The interviewer had one job and failed. Legends all 3
The introduction of those Actors has already taken so much
I almost thought it was a citation she was doing and not introduction. I am a fan of perspectives and respect the work the presenter and all arise team. The producer of didn't have a proper grasp of today's show despite today's show presenting the opportunity due to the presence of these icons.
Absolutely! It read like a citation for an award and not an intro of a guest on a TV show. Even the Pulitzer award isn’t this lengthy. It was simply aggrandizement.
RMD, our very own Denzel, did not fail us with his cool, calm demeanor. He spoke eloquently and educated us on the complexity of this business. I hope Upcoming actors will take a cue from his snippets of wisdom.
Yes you're very right 👉 RMD Richard Mofe Damijo shine lights on What quality should be 😍🙌

Tell her she's always interrupting her guest
I like this. Instead of bringing her down, encourage her to improve. She obviously needs to improve.
KOK you were on point in your discussions.
Madam Ireti you are very articulated and really making a meaningful contribution. Thank you and keep it up.
Articulated, yes. Contribution is zero. She's exploiting people
Ireti looked more like an interviewer than a guest in the studio.
Na why Jesus get 12 disciples and no woman

Sadly...
She was just talking rubbish. It's obvious she had issues with kok ideas
Yeah she sounded annoyed for some reason 🙄
This presenter with her myopic viewpoint, was simply educated by the veterans.
Ruth, well done! Thank you for inviting these great veterans. Wishing you more grace and growth.
These are the finest in nollywood
These guests were very, very civil at best. And I respectfully disagree with the comments hating on Mrs. Doyle. She's well coordinated and articulated. I appreciate the fact that she blends her experiences in living in America in trying to enlighten and push for betterment in Nigeria. Good job team!
Finally someone.. Thank you.
This anchor had 3 living legends in front of her giving her an amazing exclusive interview and she's just coming off as rude with her interruptions and abruptions.
As always
And you'll wonder why an unprofessional like her has a job, while qualified graduates who majored in journalism are jobless because they don't have connections. Nigeria in a nutshell.
😂
Relax ABEG... they are her acquaintances. They've known before this interview.
She is not. There are always interruptions during interviews.
Kanayo o kanayo We are proud of you ( NNAYI SACRIFICE)
It was a beautiful session.. I loved it .. Watching from Cameroon 🇨🇲
I'm delighted she invited the true professionals, individuals who will undoubtedly bring clarity to the situation. The incident could have been prevented, and it's crucial for us, as actors and filmmakers, to own up to our responsibilities. The response from these invited guests has been exceptional; they approach matters with impartiality and objectivity.
I love the dialogue on perspectives. However I always cringe listening to Ms. Osime unprofessionally interrupt guests or attempt to finish their train of thought. This is a consistent feedback on every show but yet no changes. Ms. Doyle was poised but firm in not tolerating such interruptions.
God bless you..very unpleasant to see
IRETI Came across rude and condescending especially to Kanayo. She was abysmal
If you've been an INTERVIEWER you'd know that there's something called TIME SLOT and there's usually LITTLE TIME to ask MANY IMPORTANT QUESTIONS. I'm okay with her interviews.
I enjoyed this session so much I had to watch to the end. Three very experienced and intelligent reps from Nollywood.
A difficult question task for actors and anchor. Answering the questions was diplomatic in nature.
The guests all spoke intelligently with inspiring eloquence. Mrs Ireti is a goddess.
the woman oozes class and elegance. I cant' get enough of it.
The producers are the ones responsible for making sure that these people are protected at all costs.
When elders in the industry spesk you listen, KOK and RMD hit the nails, asking if there are laws that regulate what should be common sense is absurd. I do not see any problem with the anchor interjecting folks. She is doing her job Much love from the 🇺🇸.
When the interjecting is too much (when the interviewer does not allow guests to finish their sentences or lines of thought), it is a problem.
Brilliant and impactful interview. However, I can't say same for the host who did seemingly well with her questions but came off as rude with her interruptions, abruptions, and inciteful statements. Kudos @arisetv for bringing together our legends in one screen. It was indeed enthralling to watch.
Ruth did an amazing job as a host.I don't know why people are condemning her? Would she be mute to let them go on and on without arriving at a conclusion.I loved this interview and hope is done often
I don't understand people ooh! she's trying her best
This is a beautiful interview, airing opinions, disagreeing on issues and agreeing on taking Nollywood forward, self care, having opinions and so many others. These are Nollywood giants and I'm happy to have watched this.
Thank you Ireti Doyle for your very eloquent explanation.
She's eloquent in speaking rubbish 😅. I'm pissed at her stance in serious issues. She doesn't care about anything or anyone except for herself and her stupid celeb status. Well, she lost a fan today
I Think They're All Coming From Their Particular Angle, But Ireti Was Not So Expressly Expressive She Relied On Her Beauty & Panache & A Little Bit Of Pride, Then KoK Is More An Insider and Is More Informed About The Nitty Gritty & Workings, RMD Was Aloof and He Didn't Offer Much But He's a Gentleman.. You Can See
This discussion should have had the AGN president, PGN president and the president of the overall body in attendance.
Thank you, my thought exactly 💯
Absolutely
Iconic Nollywood Actors and Actress
This is the shortest 50 minutes video I've had to watch this year. Really beautiful stuff ❤
i swear
I love you ma Ireti❤️
I’m already pissed before watching this 😂 How do you successfully bring these 3 legends for under 1hr! My goodness 😅 This should be like 3hrs
Seriously
USE YOUR BRAIN. The time allotted her is LIMITED. That's why she seems to be interrupting at some point BECAUSE there's a lot to ask.
This is a quality discussion. Why are news channels not bringing quality minds to educate the public in the way this is done? Sometimes, some channels bring people who come, and when they speak, you wonder where did they brought this one from.
It's clear that Ireti is not a member or not a participating member of the guild😅 However, RMD has made the point, Nigeria is not an insurance driven nation and don't care for insurance. However, insurance is key
Her points were just myopic
actors that do one day shoot will destroy the industry in few years to come ..pin down this
I love Ruth Osime and her work but i believe she should have directed her 1st questions to particular guest and not allow them to attempt to drag the question before KOK directing the response to RMD. I also love the response of Ireti, so graceful and factual
Agreed. She should improve on how to coordinate her interviews.
God blessed this woman.
I enjoyed the fact that they had different opinions to every point raised.
I have always imagined what it will be like to be a guest on Perspectives. I like how week in, week out, Ruth brings to fore topics that many are hesitant to tread.
I wish this interview was handled by a different person. As insightful and open as the discussion was, it could have been done better. I'm glad the veterans handled it beautifully.
she did a perfect job.
KOK Is the only person still active in the Nollywood industry. He spoke without fear or favour. Ireti Is clueless about the industry. There should be law strong laws governing the AGN.
She nor know wetin dey happen
In all of this nothing like taking PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY SERIOUS #RMD
I like KOK statement: it's a team work that make a dream work
Thank you RMD for your contribution here. An adult must take responsibility of their life period
Thank you, as big as jnr pope no life jacket
Great Nigerians. I love those three Nigerians
This interviewer has a bad/ negative & derogatory demeanor. Always aggressive and cuts in between people talking rudely?
As always she is lacks decency
Those are her people o. Relax abeg... she knows them They are acquaintances.
she pissed me off so much. very condescending
Using the introduction to insult and abuse Asaba movies is epic. Its just disgusting by the host
EXACTLY!!! and I like how Ireti made her understand that there is nothing wrong with making movies that cater to people who are interested in that
What do you expect from a tribalist. See how she introduce KOK and RMD.
The host is very ignorant.
Nice. I love them
Intro toooo long ooo madam shorten these intro as you don’t flow with it as you read it please. She woke with so much wisdom.
ireti doyle is top notch
absolutely!
They are my favourite actors, and they provided diverse viewpoints, making it more intriguing and amusing.
This is how our political discussions should be and not bringing one charge and bail Onokpasa alone to come and fight men in blazers and women with red lipstick in the studio
@@OmenErumoore Abeg no make me laugh
There are two lawyers there but only one dealt with questions and took it away. KOK wins my respect anyday and time 👍💯
This presenter should be change...he delivery is soo poor, she shouldn't be on national tv
Kanayo you have spoken very well ❤❤
Love Ireti,s cool show of irritation 😊
Madam Ruth, its like you don't like old nollywood. But like it or hate it, they dominate the industry. Why do you think the actors were quick to correct your misrepresentation? Aside from low budget, their storylines are very relatable to the common man.
You mean a king getting married to a slave or a president's son disguising as cap driver to find love😢. Asaba movies are very foolish
They all spoke well...and made valuable points...very robust interview
Ruth has done well on this interview. Anyone who understands journalism will know that it is no mean fit to assemble a panel like this and have it easy. Her guests each can make a 2-hour programme, how much more having all 3. Ireti almost turned one of the interviewers. Kudos Ruth.
No, she the not do well. She was educated by the 3 veterans. The host’s opinions were so uninformed, and from an ignorant viewpoint.
Mr. Kanayo O. Kanayo is a blessing to Nollywood and a gentleman indeed 🫡
Love u ireti…,well said
The quality of interaction is the quality of the anchor
There is nothing quality about the anchor.
How this woman is still with Arise TV?? Tufiakwa!!
She asked some real questions, though, no lie. So many things need to start working in all industries in nigeria so everyone can live a good and safe life.
Can you apply for her position, perfectionist
K.O.K & R.M.D & Ireti Pure talents
Ireti seems to disagree with everything KOK says. She feels cocky and superior to the others. RMD seems to be like a very contented man let KOK do the talk. I respect KOK views on everything but the other two seem to be very cautious. One thing in life you don't talk nobody can help you. This is the opportunity for them to let the world know what is happening in Nollywood. This approach by Ireti and RMD will not bring about the desired change the industry needs. These three people are not speaking with one voice which is important for the industry
Ireti is so disrespectful.
U just hit the nail. They are not united. All pretentious and cautious especially ireti and rmd politicians, kok the igbo man always the one cry in the wilderness, alone. Lone warrior.
Thanks sooo much, trying to cut him while speaking and both of them is acting like they're trying to hide something, they don't want to upset some ppl if they speak the truth. Anyways God bless them all and God bless My country Nigeria 🇳🇬.
Beautiful lineup, could have been anchored better and with less intro time.
Very true, audience retention will determine how far such a producer will last on KZhead.
On point Kanayo O Kanayo
KOK handled this interview very well , knocked it out of the park. RMD held his own as well. Ireti was abysmal 😮😮.
Sounds sentimental !!!
@@Siewe_Francois nothing sentimental in what I said lolz . Check the comments section and u will let a lots of unpleasant comments about Ireti demeanor during the interview.
@@dominicdominic I don't really need to check other people's comments on this matter, even though I did, to provide and assessment about her contributions. As the title of the program suggests, she shared different perspectives concerning the issues being discussed. In some cases she agreed with others while in other cases she deferred by giving her points which made sense. For instance, on the issue of some actors not participating in the existing insurance system in the industry. She said, some actors don't participate not necessarily because they feel "big" already but that there was a need to make that system more appealing by providing incentives.
@@dominicdominicShe was so condescending, interjecting KOK even when he was in the right. It was so irritating to watch
@@Siewe_FrancoisSo who will make it appealing when the people that should are indifferent
An educative and inspiring discussion as always on AriseTv
Mr Kanayo is right. If meetings aren't attend how will they come out with problems solving
They don't attend meetings because they don't see much value in it. The onus lies on the guild to run the association so well that the actors will be attracted to participate. Ireti made this point
The interviewer/host needs more training on anchoring
@@zholmieYou are funny bro! Who will put values to the organization? Is it not you and I? Or is the holy ghost that will do the job for us? Bro! anything you want in life, you go and get it! As you are now,you want a house for yourself, you go,work hard and get it! Just say they are not interested in whatever that is happening there,if they are, they will be there. Kanayo goes to the meetings, does his contributions and comes out for any of their activities, that is him putting in his own quota for the growth of that organization, you staying in your house and waiting for people to do the work first,is you not being serious. Lastly, there was a reason RMD junior colleagues came to him to beg the producer to strike (it shows the level of respect and confidence they have in) then imagine RMD at those meetings, there will be values and orders.
See how composed and eloquent they are in communicating their thoughts. Big names indeed
The producer has to provide the life jacket and the individual has to use the life jacket available.Everyone is liable to their actions but producers should take total responsibility as a whole.
BRILLIANT
This interview had highly intellectual people wow !!
It is unfortunate and sad that we lost those talents in that tragic and painful circumstance. It is time for the industry players and stakeholders to take holistic approaches to remedy the industry that has done well for many persons and the country. The industry can be salvaged through periodic workshops, seminars, training, and retraining on health and safety measures, production techniques/skills, investing for tomorrow (saving for the rainy day), good regulations, etc. May the soul of the departed rest in peace, Amen.
