The college administrators and board members have completely fumbled the ball, and tossed it right into laps of city police that are not trained for this scale of protests. Whether you agree with the protestors or whether you agree with the police, I think everyone can agree that the university officials are truly the ones to blame for this escalation. They could have talked to these kids 2 weeks ago instead of just blowing them off and letting this whole thing spiral out of control 12 days later.

Anti-zionism is about there not being a state of Israel which has nothing to do what so ever about Jews existing or not. It's about who would "rule" over the area and the inhabitants would include Jews as it existed for centuries prior to the formation of Israel. @@Tempus64 Israel was De-Colonized from the British. Offered to both indigenous Arabs and the Jewish people, Jews said yes Arabs said no. Arabs offered a majority of the land, and the best parts of it as well. Still said no. 5x more offers of peace, all declined because they want Jerusalem (which they will never have, for reasons i listed in last comment). So now we see the true obstacle to peace. Religion. If Palestinians gave up their demand of Jerusalem, there would be able to be peace in the middle east. Really not all that complex, as that's been the barrier to peace talks for decades now.
