  • Outside of Draymond himself, Kerr is the one who is at fault here. He is still using words like "unfortunate" and "he will bounce back" as if something bad happened to Draymond.

  • Molly actually made a good point: is Draymond choosing not to control his emotions or is he genuinely not aware of his emotions at times? We all have breaking points as human beings, fair enough. To me, he’s flat out CHOOSING NOT TO reel his emotions in. He will never change. Adam Silver dropped the ball giving Draymond that phony “indefinite” suspension. 18 games is a JOKE. Only reason he didn’t suspend him the entire season is to keep them relevant in the play-in tournament race.

  • Draymond is a narcissist. Every time he does something wrong, he comes on his podcast and apologizes but then also starts rambling on and on to "give more context". Eventually, he paints a picture of him being a victim of circumstances to justify his behavior. That means he's never really remorseful and won't change. He doesn't see himself ever as truly in the wrong. Narcs never change and I don't expect him to.

    @BirdLives7@BirdLives7Ай бұрын
  • I actually think both sides of this argument are true. The reason Draymond Green is still in Golden State is because Steph Curry doesn't want to play without him. Draymond is like Steph's security blanket because Draymond knows how to set screens and get Steph the ball. Therefore, Draymond, who has a narcissistic personality, believes himself to be untouchable. If the front office thought they could bring the hammer down on Draymond without it possibly making him mad and want to leave and thus making Steph angry,then they would. Curry needs to make it clear to Draymond that his self-imposed unavailability is a deal breaker because it is visibly stressing out the entire time and coaching staff. Steph has talked to him behind the scenes, but Draymond ultimately knows Steph wants him in Golden State, so he feels invincible.

    • I think what’s different in Steph’s position though is that he’s dealing with Draymond. It’s like what you said-Draymond thinks HEs an alpha too. Switch Steph out with Kobe or Lebron and I’d guarantee you the result would be the same. Like what the crew was discussing. Steph’s been a spoken leader for his team-it may not be publicly, but to target Steph’s leadership I think is the wrong approach here. Draymond’s the one who’s not realizing his position and role on the team.

  • I don’t doubt Steph has been a leader off court and made his point to Dray, but in this instance last night, Steph could have and should have pulled Dray away from the situation. He was literally standing in the middle. That’s also a moment for leadership. Would MJ, or Bron or other greats that we laud for leadership have just stood there and passively let that escalate? Dray is the one that has to change for sure. It’s his fault, but of all the teammates and coaches, I think Steph is the only one that can step in during those moments and remove him and honestly put him on his place.

That horse is way out of the barn on the countryside over on the other side of the mountain. He can't be put back. The Warriors "should" let that bronco be free and padlock the shed. He actions show that he can't be controlled. So...give him what he wants; let him run free on the prairie, where the deer and the antelope play. If I'm the owner/coach, I tell him this: "Go home. We'll go with what we have. Your experience but unpredictability is worse than the team's inexperience but reliability." THAT'S LEADERSHIP.

  • I'm interrupting ESPN's coverage of basketball to talk about an athletic performance of a lifetime... in ice skating. Illia Malinin just did something no other athlete in the sport has ever done and he must be a contender for ESPN's sports performance and athlete of the year. At the World Championships 2024, Illia Malinin, in 4 minutes, revolutionized skating by completing 6 quads, in a world where just one quad is considered Herculean. ESPN is filled with a bunch of straight men who will look right past the sequins, because their manhood is threatened, and give awards to athletes in football, basketball, and baseball. For ESPN to deny Illia Malinin recognition will be an affront to the sport of ice skating and demean his athletic genius.
