The way that he broke Harley in a matter of hours is terrifying.
Whats terrifying is how pathetic and thirsty harley is
She was already broken, he just ended the job.
Didn’t brake her, just manipulated her. Scary thing is it often happens in real life too.
Bro Joker didn't even manipulated her. Joker literally told Harley his story about his one bad day and how he met Batman, and Harley thought Joker was talking about her.
@@Xul-Xataharley love bombed herself
Why the fuck do I love this version of Joker the most in the Arkham series?
I know what you mean, he just has a more erratic energy about him that I love
Because he is the best joker in the arkham series
He’s more Sinister and unpredictable…. The older Joker relies on gags and punchlines more, but still dangerous
Because it’s Troy baker, he’s amazing. I love mark hamil but damn Troy baker is perfect lol
He's actually, genuinely unpredictable.
Can’t believe that some crap like “suicide squad: kill the justice league” in the same universe with brilliant Arkham series
Even Gotham Knights which take place outside Arkham verse has better Batman death scene than that SS game. And both of Gotham Knights and Arkham Origins made by Warner Bros. Montreal but they both are still respecting Batman's lore and characters well
No way in fresh hell that game is connected to the Arkham universe Cuz that would be the stupidest way to kill Batman in any form
It connected to the Arkham series but in another universe, they bringing joker into as a playable character and the joker doesn’t even look like Arkham Joker and in the original Arkham series Joker dead
@@Nitolordgrave in suicide squad it was the joker from the another universe and timeline but it is the same universe with Arkham series
We fans all agree that SS is not Canon.
When Bane said he'll be back in 1 minute, he kept his word!
I counted the time it took him to come back and yeah, you're right
This game’s story interests me cuz of how joker genuinely wants to kill Batman at first cuz he was just in the way but once he actually meets Batman and he saves his life despite being the most vile creature Batman has ever come across, that blows jokers mind so he tests him again by shooting his henchman then threatens to shoot himself and STILL Batman saves him… joker can comprehend how someone can see him be so evil yet make him live to face justice and with the smallest bit of hope change his ways… and so joker gets obsessed and NEEDS to interact with him again, test him again, push on him to see what he’s made of cuz he needs that conflict.
Joker loves to play games, but he also loves breaking things. So it's really a matter of having mixed feelings about breaking his favorite toy. He wants to break it, but then he'll miss not being able to play with it anymore when it's gone.
I love this voice of Joker and his design
Tnx to Troy Baker XD
Me too, his voice is so smooth! Troy Baker has his own take to voice Joker not just being Mark Hamill's copycat.
@@margarethmichelina5146 He and John DiMaggio are the perfect successors now that Hamill retired.
9:58 “Who else would jump off a building to save your sorry ass ?” Joker: “You know, officer….I was wondering the same thing myself” I love this little detail. They did a good job of introducing the relationship between the joker and batman throughout this story, but this line is great despite how simple and short it is. Joker being the sick twisted maniac that no one understands at this time is saved by batman who’s devotes his purpose to serving justice. I think it showcases why joker has such an infatuation with batman. Really wanted to push this mans limits. This is just my thought ofc
I agree. The facial expressions alone sell it. You can see that he's already thinking of all the horrible stuff he'll do to try and break batman's moral code
At that point, Joker is questioning why did the man who turned who he is now (Because of the Red Hood reference from Killing Joke storyline as Batman made normal Joker who dressed up as Red Hood fall to the ace chemical) risked his life to safe him. Joker is also losing his purpose on his life ever since he's falling to the ace chemical and has a bleached pale skin and green hair and losing his sanity. He's doing crimes to cope out his grief and when Batman saved him, he realizes he found his new purpose: Making Batman lose his sanity by killing him or somebody, making Batman break his no killing rule.
In his eyes... Batman was the insane one
It’s not a relationship. But it makes the Joker realize how unique the Batman is, seemingly incorruptible despite harboring all this violence and rage. The Joker’s obsession begins with the idea of breaking Batman after his open display of doing the right thing, of responsibility even in the face of the irredeemable. He believes that deep down, Batman’s ‘stubborn righteousness’ is a front, that they are equally insane as the other in reality, despite the madness only truly being one-sided.
Joker lives for the sake of breaking things. But Batman is someone he's never been able to break.
The reason why I think Arkham Origins Joker managed to get under Batman skin so well is because he’s immune to his normal tactics on criminals. Batman at this point in his life spent two years not only stopped criminals but also making them fear him, to make them think twice before committing another crime. But the Joker is different he doesn’t fear him and when Batman tries to make him fear Joker just laughs and keeps laughing and Batman doesn’t know what else he can do.
also have to understand this is a younger batman. So he's not really used to his antics. just fantastic writing
I never thought someone could match Mark Hamil when it came to playing the Joker, but leave it to Troy Baker to not only match it, but to give us a Joker who is full of youth and vigor. He's adding an element to the character rather than replacing it, making it all the better.
Theres quite a few people that can match hamil dont let nostalgia blind you
It's Troy Baker himself not Mark Hamill in ARKHAM ORIGINS
Nah. As ok as Troy is, the guy who voices Joker in the Injustice games is the best after Mark. He should take over now Mark's retired
NGL, this Joker was really terrifying. The way he yells at Electricutioner and then just kills him. No other joker comes close.
I completely agree, imo Troy does an absolutely amazing job at playing/voicing a younger Joker and just my opinion but I personally love this version more than the older Jokers, I just love the energy and clumsiness Troy and the animators give this earlier version of the character, yes he may not be as callous and calculating but that’s part of the reason I love it, he’s just a silly (and very homicidal and apathetic) guy having his fun
Batman: *How many lives did you just take???* Joker: None….I think. That was just a little stocking stuffer. A construction site blocking my view. But this one isn’t.
This proves just how heartless Joker is, and how he’s a monster, who kills innocent lives just for a laugh.
@@dbass9894 And Batman still tries to save him
@@hayleyyeager8008Jason Todd was right. Batman should’ve killed The Joker earlier. I get it’s his code not to kill but how many more lives he could’ve saved if he just murdered the clown?
@@ilikepancakes2368 But If he did, he’d probably go into a massive Killing Spree against all his Rouges Gallery, to the point where he’s the only person Locked up in Arkham Assylum Think of Injustice, but It’s Batman who snaps
Love that scene!!!
They did electrocutioner dirty, he just wanted to play his space invaders
4:16 I love this short interaction between these two
Moments like this is exactly why I put Origins above any other Arkham game. Main story, villains, characters interactions are just so solid everywhere.
3:13-3:23 Favorite line of Troy Baker’s Joker: Joker: “So when I hire you to kill The Batman you SHUT THE HELL UP AND KILL THE BATMAN”.
Yeah, I was truly feeling that. He was actually terrifying for a change. And then he followed through with it.
4:28 That is the first time I see Joker looked genuinely terrified
He doesn’t look even remotely terrified what?
Looking back, I was a complete idiot for not seeing that Black Mask was literally Joker the whole time
It’s obvious that no one puts joker toxic on that woman. No one can steal Joker’s tools.
Second “Black Mask” first appeared in the first scene, I knew straight away it was the Joker
This should've been remastered with the rest of the Arkham games, it deserves it's place among them.
Origins is my favorite Arkham game definitely deserves a remastered version.💯
Nah, still looking good
@@IvanMonroy9 that means an updated version for the new systems idiot.
@@IvanMonroy9 but a remaster would probably lead to modern console ports so console players who aren't stuck 2 generations behind can play origins kinda like what return to arkham did (plus more consistent framerates as consoles have less lag spikes by nature)
@@IvanMonroy9The only way for both PS4 and PS5 owners to play it is through streaming with a subscription. The quality isn't always the best unless you gave great internet. The game ends up looking bad and pixelated and the combat is super hard due to input delay. It needs a remaster.
The fact Joker was able to manipulate Harley by talking about Batman without actually using his name goes to show how dangerpis he is, considering Harley is the psychiatrist with a full understanding on how a human mindvworks, but was caught completely off-guard as Jokwr was narrating his story.
Edit: (Roger Craig Smith) as batman and troy baker as the joker, what a good fucking cast man and agreat game.
Sean Craig? Don't you mean Roger Craig Smith?
@@Fishboy. sorry I get those two mixed lol
@Fishboy. "Sheva Sheva, come on, come on come on" resident evil 5 the best res E game ever
@@slayer4501 you're good
7:54 the amount of times I saw this screen while waiting to spawn in
LOL
Arkham Origins: Saves Joker from fall for no reason Arkham City: "You and me are going to die, Batsy" "I don't care, lol"
I love how batman appears in jokers mind, he's not a human far from it, to joker his mind replaces it with a monsterious bat, a thing not a man but a thing, it's kinda like how this one fic i read a long time ago had i can't remember her name but the magician girl with the no pants and just a shirt thing, yeah her, she go into jokers mind and tries to "fix" him and soon finds towering over every bit of chaos in his mind is a giant bat, uncaring, just watching that's what i like to think jokers sees batman as at a later date, he doesn't just see a human bat thing, he sees a giant bat uncaring gaze boring into the world around him
this game is so underrated. this easily better than asylum
It’s a good game but to say it’s better than Asylum is a stretch.
@@ilikepancakes2368 no it isn't. I get asylum was great on it's time but that's it, only on it's time, it was limited. Arkham city was clearly superior by 1000 miles, and origins is on pair with city. Asylum just got old in terms of gameplay and story, the rest of Arkham games are way better.
@@ilikepancakes2368I just played asylum and it's just not better than origins.
@@ilikepancakes2368time was definitely not friendly to Arkham Asylum. It’s still a good game, but MAN, that was definitely rocksteady’s first game. A very clunky game, a lot of foundational stuff that City, Origins and Knight steamed out.
It's the best in the series to me. Asylum is a close second.
I cant believe that this batman was voiced by the dude who did Sonic for so long. Roger Craig Smith has one versatile voice.
Also Ezio Auditore.
5:56 Batman sounded a bit like punisher. Roger Craig Smith should voice the punisher.
So true man
Oh Roger absolutely can pull off a Punisher.
Sonic-?
Arkham Origins: exists Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill: yeah ima head out
People fr hate this game for no reason
Literally no one does stop lying
@@axesus6966 What are you talking about? I've seen plenty of people complain about this game. As for the reason, they don't have a _good_ reason for hating it. Some say they hate it because Joker is the main villain again and thus the game is somehow copying Arkham City, which it isn't, the stories are completely different. Others suggest it is the gameplay that is repetitive and copying Arkham City, However, in all fairness, the gameplay hasn't changed much from Asylum to City. The *_REAL_* reason people don't like this game is because Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are not in it. It is a _dumb_ reason to not like it because Roger Craig Smith and Troy Baker did a fantastic job. I know this is the reason because before the game even came out, people were bitching about this in the comment sections for the trailers. I vividly recall their complaints, and this was before the game was even released. So no, he isn't lying, you just don't know what you are talking about.
I personally like it, the boss fights are better, the NPCs are competent and have some funny dialogues, even some of Riddler's side quest is tricky just to reach it.
Hmm when you compare it to the other arkham games it doesn't feel as good as them and I believe the biggest issue was the performance issues the game had for consoles plus the disaster of the PC release
@@LucrassKelvacno one hates it lmao - it was rated exactly what it was, not amazing but not terrible either. There comes a point where if enough people say somethings underrated it’s not underrated anymore lol
The scenes are well written and directed , but i can't get over how ludicrous (and convenient for a game plot), for Batman to meet MOST of his major arch enemies foe the forst time in ONE night and they all happen to be sorta working together for a relatively new Batman.
None of the villains joker hires bar Bane are his arch enemies. Maybe Death stroke
@tobyknight8811 Not all the villains in this game are hired by Joker. Such as Penguin, Death Stroke, and Riddler (also making his story debut here apparently. Was Fire y hired as well? Been ages since I played it. Game is great, but I just have a hard time seeing it as Canon (despite the references in arlham knight). I like to think this takes place in the same universe as Gotham Knights (especially since I believe Batman is voiced by the same actor in both games); and what was referenced in Arkham knight was some parallel past account of what happened.
It’s a whole different universe so I guess this was the route they decided to take. In other incarnations, Batman doesn’t meet the rest of his rouges gallery until years into his career. I think it would’ve been better if they just kept The Joker, Bane, Black Mask, and the assassins while leaving out Penguin and Riddler.
No no no arkham origins is canon despite the fact it's not acknowledged although referenced in the later games hell origins has hinted about about asylum so this game is much bigger than anyone realizes when it comes to the Arkham timeline
That's the Arkham series for you LOL.
I find this version of the Arkham Joker to be the most unpredictable and animalistic version, which is great
I love Joker in this game. It's one of my favorite depictions of him in all of Batman media.
....I never realize how much this looks like an SFM animation
A really good sfm animation
@@shaunmckinney521 oh EXTREMELY good, its just its got the same sort of lighting and faces as those sorts of things.
@@trustindean5164It’s the facial animations for me
This game is one of the more underrated of the Arkham series. My friends think it's the worst one but it's my absolute favorite because of how it really dives into Batman and the Joker's relationship on a foundational level, literally the basis of the series
origins is the best arkham game for me nobody will ever change that.
Same
Same here
Agreed
Me every time my parents takes my jokes literal 00:46
This joker is crazier and scarier than asylum and city
Arkham Origins has the best beat down sequence in all of the Batman Arkham games, change my mind.
I love how bane was a tactical genius like in the comics but his drug abuse led him to be basically just a easily outsmarted character in Arkham Asylum and city
22:00 don't think anyone noticed this one being honest,it's the exact same way he locks him up in knight
Also, around 22:38, it's foreshadowing of how Batman carried Joker's body in Arkham City
@@margarethmichelina5146This is a stretch. Lifting a man over your head and slamming him to the ground isn't anything like carrying him in your arms.
@@TheFirstCurse1 I know but it's almost similar to that moment
3:27 GYAAAAAAAT
Nobody'll ever touch Mark, but I've been warming up a lot to Troy Baker as Joker lately.
Cops : Dont move freak ! Joker : I think he's talking to you Heath ledger joker : For them youre just a freak ....like me
Definitely the best version of Joker on the Arkhamverse. Love the energy, the design, the voice acting!
Bane showed up 2 5:27 seconds early.
Ending cutscene was fire
Troy did a wonderful job. Hes definitely inspired by Mark, but he managed to put his personal spin on the character. Roger did great as batman, far from the estoic batman of Conroy, much more angry and unhinged as one would expect of a younger batman. This game far surpassed my expectations to be honest.
It did. I always recommend it. Arkham Knight had the better combat but main the boss for this game AND Story are miles better.
Joker crazy
What was the song that played during the free fall scene?
Joker sure enjoys Rossini
Quick electrocutioner gravity will catch you eh I guess not
IMHO best Joker in Arkham games. Brings out energy and charisma which Hamill's just lacks.
22:00, the most satisfying part of this game: Giving Joker the beatdown of a lifetime.
Why is he so fucking cute in this specifically!?
The grinch and all his henchmen lined up on the road ahead And Santa rolled his window down and his nose and cheeks turned red He pulled his hat on low and tight and put the hammer down and with a ho ho ho, he was slingin snow singin Santa Claus is coming to town! 10-4

Why does the joker look bigger in this game but more skinny in the other
if you want an easy answer, they were made by different game company, if you want a lore answer, he's just getting old :)
I don't think arkham is known for taking care of their inmates physical well being 😂
Age
He's so hot!
its a shame the game is so bad. they ruined dynamic fights, you don't need to change tactics with differently armed or armored opponents. You just punch until your gloves are electrified then you just punch through anything.

Mark hamel is better
I think fans of this game need to get it in their heads that if it weren't for the very well made PRE RENDERED cutscenes, it wouldn't be nearly as praised as it it today and instead would be the true unanimous laughing stock of the arkham series
Thank you Troy baker for your strong Performance in this game 🫰🏻❤️
